Super underrated song. One of my favorites.
Agree
PrinceCadance u
Is my favourite, when I was down this song expressed it.
I absolutely love this song.
been there too man this one helped
I'd totally buy a James Hetfield/Metallica acoustic album.
Yup
Wade k 21 there is one
Helping Hands....Live & Acoustic
Load and Reload are your go to stuff then
Check out Metallica Acoustica!
I didn't expect James' voice to go that high. Really awesome 👏🏽
He's the best
Indeed. He's in great form.
I never get tired of this song.. One of my favs off the load album.
This is one of their most underrated songs
Most definitely underrated I agree
yess, this and King Nothing.
Load, Reload gave them more freedom.. criminally underrated albums
Feeling this.. Best of luck to James and praying for him to keep it together for good this time
Search for Rock am Ring 2008!
nobody talks about how fucking good kirk's accents and leads were in the Load era, his little flourishes in this song and Unforgiven II add a whole new dimension to the music.

I love the dual guitar dynamic going on Load and ReLoad. And yes, Kirk side is great as it gives the extra embelishment to the songs.
Why does nobody really like Load and Reload? I honestly loved the albums and all the songs in them.
yeah boiii Because if you spend 15 years listening to the first 5 albums in which you dont have to skip a single song and then buy Load and find that you only love a couple songs on it, thats what you call disappointing 🙁
Because they mellowed and all the never made it critics out there are under the impression that musically and in life nothing changes, your experences and getting older doesn't change you.. . Almost all artists create there best stuff when there young. Having said that load and reload were absolute gems and James voice was the best in my opinion of all but it was a reflection of the evolution of the band, musically and a reflection of there personal lifes and how big they were.. I believe Metallica hit there pinnacle of creative genious with the Justice alblum. Black was very good but not as raw as before more calculated and produced. Basically the beginning of the end of there rawness there speed and massive energy of there youth produced to reach a bigger demographic. Load was the Evolution of how big they had got and how nobody has been able to follow up on a monster once in a lifetime alblum "black alblum" that took them world wide. Trust me it was like everybodys a metallica fan now after that alblum came out. Alot of Old school fans like me from the early 80's believe everything after justice was crap or a sell out "main stream" but I disagree with them because im a realist. Im of the belief that they lost a big part of themselves creatively when Jason left the band but there brand new stuff isn't half bad for some grey haired old guys who were metal gods in the 80's.
a mi me gustan ! creo que tenían muy buen sonido tal vez diferente a lo que los puristas desean pero fue un gran trabajo de la banda.
A lot of people love metallica but aren't really fans of metallica, just fan of metal music all together. They just didn't like the sound of Load and Reload. Metallica fans at least appreciate those albums.
Stupid people hate Load and Reload
I think James still sings Load/Reload songs great because he feels these songs more than any of the others. This style is probably his favorite and it energizes him more and you can tell through his great vocals for load/reload songs.
I can see why you think that. But based on what James tells in interviews you are wrong
www.blabbermouth.net/news/james-hetfield-admits-he-wasnt-100-percent-into-load-and-reload-era-of-metallica/
V G i feel the same, though James says in a interview that he doesnt feel it 100% in the load and reload era. But i see that James put more Energy on those songs, more than any others from the classic Metallica Era
i completely agree. i tell my mates that i wish instead of death magnetic and hardwired, they did something that was more true to them. those two albums are good, but their missing a key ingredient, which is honesty. i was pissed when load came out (pun intended!), but i realized it was true to them..i feel like the new albums are novelty acts. im not a fan because they appese me. im a fan because of their honesty...and i hate to see that ship sink.
NearLife4life they just can't win can they. Fans hate load era coz it's not metal. Then they come out with a metal album then fans are all "they're not honest" lol
james varte. i hear ya, mate, loud and clear! but they did win when i comes to selling millions of records and doing what we all want to do, which is to love what you do, whatever that may be. we metallica fans can rest assured that they gave us some of the best music in human experience, regardless of iur petty inclusions.
His voice is slowely returning to the 90's
AeroFix94 James' voice has been great for years, it's Jason backing him what we miss the most...Not that Rob isnt good at it
Actually, Rob is bad at back vocals.
+Damien Scott cause he keeps singing in Spanish
Nicolas Bonil i agree plus Jason had ethusiasm and he would also pump up the crowd
Too bad Kirk doesn't sing more.
Load is a fantastic album. Bleeding me. King nothing. Until it sleeps. The outlaw torn...Come on
Good album, the people who dislike is cuz they want a thrash metal album or raw metal. Closed people.
Don’t forget Ain’t my bitch and 2x4
Got a real soft spot for Hero Of The Day the last few months as well.
Woah woah woah, wait a damn second. Lars are you using a fucking RIDE?????
Christian Dinero Good thing theres no fucking china.
Christian Dinero 18 crash ride
I do miss the ride. To bad he doesn't use it in other situations.
Christian Dinero I still think it's a crash
Zylinderkopf He didn't use a ride last time it was played in 2011
PLEASE MORE LOAD & RELOAD ON EVERY CONCERT
Ertuğrul Uysal I'd give you 2 thumbs up if I could. Load and Reload rock!!
not underrated, just everyone hated them because they were so different from the previous albums. But I think that now almost everyone changed opinion about them, expecially for Load.
yes, play more Load &Reload .. 🖒
They have NEVER played House That Jack Built live. I fucking love that song, Bleeding Me is among the best work the band has ever done. I say that LOVING the early albums and growing up listening to Puppets until the tape wore out.
Songs like Bleeding Me, Ain't my Bitch, 2×4, King Nothing, Until it Sleep, Hero of the day, Devil's Dance, Carpe Diem baby, Attitude, The Unforgiven 2 are a must played by Metallica, just for a litfle variation not just about speed and fast songs from their earlier albums..... 🖒
Honestly one of the top Metallica songs. So underrated. Structure, emotion, passion, truly unique. Some of the best chemistry between each individuals strengths
Jesus Hetfields voice is class here :O
I forgot how much i love this song
hahahahahahaha jesus hetfields
lmao Jesus hetfield
I dig it but in my opinion his best for this song is on S&M.
was also 17 years ago. age is age. noob
James sounds great
The album Load is really fantastic. It shines more as it gets older like the band. I'm glad the hate towards the album slowly fades away. The bottom line of the hate anyway is that, the fans at the time weren't ready for the drastic change that Metallica did with their sound. In my opinion, the more you grow older, the more you'll appreciate this album.. same with Re-load.
Because no matter what its a classic as time goes on more and more people are gonna appreciate album load and reload are probably my two favorite albums from them. It shows how talented they really are as a band, and how creative they can be, and make just about any kind of music they want, if they wanted to.
The wolf is loose that wasn't the case for me. I loved this album since I was like 8. I do understand your point on everything else though.
Solid performance of one of the masterpieces from the Load era.
James sounds great here! Great performance!
This is a weak point on my heart, thx James, for writte this song.
2:40 The voice and the facial expressions gave me chills. You see that he is really trying to give his best. great performance!
Most underrated Metallica song.
on their most underrated album
Denny Halleman this song was always awesome live.
Load isn't underrated. IS very very overrated. Everybody says nowadays how good Load was when it was a piece of crap with one good song: this song.
Mapashito79 there are great songs on load.
+Mapashito79 Ronnie, until it sleeps, King nothing, the outlaw torn, bleeding me, the house that Jack built and even mama said were fucking great last time i checked...
James's singing in this one is spot on and definitely on fire.
Acousticallica!!! :D
Pranav Dhokre Death Acoustic
David Pearson Wood And ReWood
Two enemies together again (Lars and the Ride Cymbal) :D :D
Hahaha...best comment on youtube
LoL
lol
😂😂😂
yeah thats some of the most anti-percussive playstyles Ive ever seen on an acousitc track. what the fuck is he doing there?
Wow, James is sounding incredible lately. Love this.
James sounds awesome!
Oh yes, sounds wonderful on acoustic. I'm loving James' vocals 👌🏻
James Hetfield doesn't have the thrash voice anymore, but by God he has a great voice for southern rock and outlaw country
He still does, it's just that it's an acoustic song.
@@passthecash not what I was saying and no not really
Don't give him any ideas!!!!!! You just let him be Hetfield. God forbid he'd ever put out a solo country album.
@@1timdavy I’ll be hetfield now
@@1timdavy why not? He has proven already that he is a metal god.
been a fan since very early 90s..load and reload are probably my favorites, lot of variety in the songs.
That's the thing with Metallica. Every album is something special and unique. Different from one another and why I understand where you are coming from.
The drumming was really tasteful in this version. Lars not overplaying was nice to hear. Such a killer song form a killer album!
I know Load and ReLoad are far from Metallica's best albums, but this is one of my all-time favorite Metallica songs
They're just a differente style, if any other band had released them, people would say they're great albums
Challenger Deep Load was my first Metallica album. It really got me into them with how good it was and I started listening to them a lot more. I now own every album except MOP and St Anger, and I love those albums too
TheTanakaHalf Exactly, this is a huge diamond in the rough.
Lsdmachine666 YOU DON'T OWN MASTER OF PUPPETS 😨Its their best album!!!!! Go to best buy now!!!!!!
TheTanakaHalf load and reload are great albums
Incredible how this song fell perfectly in this version, it was very good without distortion.
I had no complaints with load or reload and any true Metallica "fan" will agree.
matthew moncton I totally agree with you
Yep, for me Load is the 3rd best album after Justice and Master. There are so many awesome songs from Load: Low Man's Lyric, Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Until it Sleeps... and the rest isn't bad either. Outlaw Torn is probably my favorite Metallica song.
ak74oh low man's lyric is reload unless you're grouping the two together
ak74oh lol no
Eazy E What "no"? And yea, Low Man's Lyric is Reload, my fault.
Loving James voice sounds on par. Not bad for being in his 50s!!!
He wasn't 50s here, dumbass.
@@MrParkerman6 he was 52
@@MrParkerman6 😂
This song (along with several others from 90s Metallica albums) is equally as heavy as any other one of their songs, if not more, but on a more personal and emotional level...great songs. I just wish more people would see that. Honestly seeing them play that nowadays brings me hope (not that I ever lost hope) that they are still true to themselves and haven't let all this hate from "old Metallica fans" get to them.
what a good version!!! metallica is like good old wine, it become better with time.
This song needs to find its way back into their set list. Criminally inderrated
Woah, it's been quite a long time since I last saw Lars using a ride. And what a song this is, one of my favs. So glad to hear them playing it this way.
I miss this song, I thought they forgot about it :3
Much respect for my favorite BAND METALLICA!
Best Metallica chorus ever - James always crushes.
One of the most lyrically powerful songs for sure they did if not any artist. Heard them play this at Woodstock 99. This version is great too
Haven't heard this one in ages. It's a shame, Load, Reload, St. Anger are full of great songs. Im really glad they've played it. I'm really curious if they plan on playing No Leaf Clover or -(Minus) Human anytime in the future.
NIGHT STORM ohh fuck yeah minus human would be awesome!! 🤘🤘🤘
St anger has 2 good songs. Title track and Some kind of monster.
I disagree.
Voleti nekoga Personally, I won't necessarily say their best, but MetallicA never made a bad album. Their "worst" songs actually have a very high quality compared to most of the shit that is popular today. Take an example: "Ain't My Bitch" is not considered one of their best songs compared to other stuff they've done, but it instantly outdoes pretty much the whole Nicky Minaj discography. I know that's a low standard, but I'm trying to say that their "worst" is better than many other's best. And even when they are not compared to those songs, I enjoy every single one of their fillers, because the "worst" MetallicA ever did, regardless of the genre, it's preety fucking badass!
Frantic and nnamed feeling are not that bad either
Load has some fuckin epic tunes, "outlaw torn" " bleeding me" and " the thorn within" . The lyrics of these songs hit deep ever time I listen.
every time I drink and I want to listen to somwthing that hits me good I play this song and outlaw thorn from S&M love these boys
I love the load and reload albums with great songs like Bleeding me, fixxer, outlaw torn, low man, the memory remains, King nothing, the house that jack built I can go on and on but I'll stop here:)
Fixxxer... i mean, honestly, why they forgot that song?
Metallica Master Of Puppets Devil's Dance, Until It Sleeps, Cure, Ronnie...
+ 2*4
ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED SONGS OF METALLICA AND ONE OF MY FAVOURITES!!!!!!
My absolute favorite Metallica song. I never get to hear it come up often enough.
Man i just fucking loves james so much his voice been going through my ears to my brain since i was 7 and now i'm 22 its such a fucking perfect voice .........
the way he sing's is legendry
His voice sounds fuckin amazing!
Fantastic version of Bleeding Me. Metallica should play more Load/Reload songs.
these boys and girls dont know it but they won something special- something that many people on earth never will hear and see.Metallica acoustic and live.
kirk is like : " where's the wah wah? "
XD Lmfao XDD
Roman Legionary You can see he doesn't know where to put his feet without pedals
J.J Jameson XD True !!
It sounds way better without the wah wah
lmao! xD
One of favorite Metallica songs 💯💪🏼
James' vocals are on point too, really good🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Damn. This version is awesome. Almost as good as the S&M one.
I grew up listening to Load/Reload, and I definitely enjoy these songs. Great stuff.
Listening to this song and seeing those kids back there, made my heart bleed ...
FANTASTIC ....!!!!
James's voice sounds awesome here
Thank you for sharing this.
This thorn in my side is from the tree I planted
Oh it tears me and I bleeeed...
Love this part ❤️
Love it! My all time favourite song! 🙌🤘
that was awesome it gave me chills!!!
You guys have got my attention again, keep it up!!
Absolutely love it ❤❤
Load and ReLoad are way too underrated albums.
Back then everyone hated them because they sucked compared to what came before. Now people like them because they are great compared to what came after.
it is about expectations, not what came when
Only good song on reload is fuel. Change my mind
@First Name Last Name update: my mind has been changed but has been very minimal. Only good songs on reload are fuel and fixxxer. Dont change my mind because the rest is shit
MetallicA é a maior banda de todos os tempos porque seus álbuns são todos ótimos e ao mesmo tempo diferentes entre si. Esses caras estão sempre inovando e buscando novos desafios.
Amazing, just amazing
I have loved you from day one Metallica {36 years} !!!
Damn! Used to think s&m was the best version of this song, but this is amazing. Love Kirk's lead during the melody that leads up to the chorus.
Yeah my favorite song. Love Load/Reload.
This just so beautiful.
So Amazing!!!!
So fuckin happy they done this song! One of my absolute favorites! Hetfield sounds unreal here too \m/\m/
I named my son KIRK 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
-*BLEEDING* *ME* & *OUTLAW* *TORN* -
both badass
Enjoyed that, top stuff
So great. I love this song.
My respects for Metallica . awesome band
Que ganas tengo de escuchar esta canción en directo.
just perfect love metallica since i was young part of my life
i love this song! great
gracias Metallica por ser parte de mi viaje en ésta vida \m/ ...
:')
Hammett using a blackbird carbon fiber acoustic, the good stuff 👌🏻
actually is a composite acoustic cargo
So amazing this song big fã of yours work
One of ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR UNDERRATED Metallica`s songs. Love it so much!
It's S&M and then this one. Metallica MUST play this song more often!
essa música é muito foda ♥
This is so soulful.I have no words.
What a beautiful photography work, damn!
the kids there can say that metallica played in our school. fffuuuuck.
It feels so sad seeing these great rockstars getting grey. I wish they stay young and keep the good music.
and they are still doing damn good no matter what they play (maybe excluding AJFA but thats overall nasty to play)
they did what you wished, this is good music..
James sounds way better in this performance of this song than S&M and that album was autotuned post production...U could tell he was an alcoholic drunk singing...in this performance the chorus is nice and aggressive like on load.
Gregory Geithner haha no s & m way better
they're aging like wine. Death Magnetic was awesome. Most technical album since AJFA and Hardwired is Great as well. Great mix of their many years making music. From simple and thrash to technical riffs to melodies.Theyre on top of the game
This song is one of my favorites by far, it says to me so many things bout me 😞 itr thank you guys, you’re the best musicians
Excellent music ❤❤❤ no words to describe ❤❤❤
💜
Brasil representando \m/
Nóis hehe
eles tinham que tocar mais músicas do load e reload ao vivo !!!
Awesome performance even though it's acoustic! On the choruses, James sounds exactly like he does on the album-version!
Stunning
Very Very good performance!! So cool !!
Yes finally they play this song live I've been waiting forever for them to play this live, thou it does sound like a cowboy song in this acoustics unplugged version.
Nasha Naufal look for it at sm live
They also played it AT Rock am Ring 2008
Amazing performance, I would take an acoustic album!
I love a lot of the songs on Load and this one is a good way to let out all those frustrations, so sharp and powerful.
One of the best performances of bleeding me, sublime
