Physical media is the best way on the road. WiFi is very inconsistent in many areas Like on Buses on trains and planes.. You should have loaded pictures on the USB drive and on a disc, I think it is intended to be a picture viewer for vacation photos.

You can attach AV IN from digital TV Box with Multimedia Player, You can watch Digital TV and Play Downloaded videos from a Thumb Drive using The Digital TV Box and the Portable as Monitor only nothing more.
I bought 7 of used Portable DVD,Even the DVD functionality is busted?As long as the Screen is Lovely to look at?No stains nothing.it's good for a Monitor
I don't need to buy Expensive LED TVs nowadays that cost a lot of Hard earned Cash with High Definition picture,All you need is a Good Digital TV Box Receiver that Plays Multimedia Player,MP4,MKV and AVi files and a good Portable DVD Screen for Monitor.This is Practical nowadays,And less power consumption too

I was really hoping this thing would work well with thumb drives or SD cards because people just don't have a lot of DVDs anymore, it would be so much easier just to save your video files to a thumb drive and if it worked for that I've been all about this device. In fact what they should do is make another one of these devices get rid of the DVD player altogether and just make it play digital files. Oh wait I think that would make it just a tablet. Never mind

bigger players are good for low vision movie watchers. it appear that model have some limitation on the thumbdrive. most likely for photos only. btw, there are dedicated portable blu-rays player on the market with that size but they're mostly limited players in the market and more expensive.

Terrible video. You were not prepared at all. You did not even read the instructions before you made this video.
This is a portable DVD player. It obviously works very good as a Portable DVD player.
You are just being ignorant when you said you would never carry around DVD's with you. DVD's are light weight and easy to carry with you.
You are not going to be able to watch copyrighted videos on your thumb drive legally.
I think the reason the thumb drives you used did not work is because the ones you used were not properly formatted for the DVD player. I play MP4 videos and MP3 music easily from my DVD player. You are obviously the problem.
Most people are better off just buying a budget tablet and streaming videos from there. You get a screen size that it’s going to be about the same. You can have options being a smaller or larger screen and overall it’s just easier and lighter. DVDs may be lightweight but I’ll tell you what’s even lighter ones and zeros in digital media
@TodayIFeelLike Not true! People who buy Portable DVD players want to watch DVDs. I have over 2,000 DVDs. Watching DVDs is something millions of people do.
Millions of people do not have tablet computers, and they don't have them because a good one costs a lot of money. Others do not feel the need for a tablet computer because they have already spent a thousand dollars on a cell phone and they do not want to spend another thousand dollars on a good tablet computer.
Responsible parents do not buy tablet computers for their children who do not need one. These parents buy their children Portable DVD players to watch the DVDs that their parents give them to watch. This way, their children can be entertained and protected from everything bad they can see on a tablet computer.
You obviously do not like Portable DVD players. You have a bias against them. Like I said I have no problem using micro SD cards and 32gig usb drives to watch MP4 videos and listen to MP3 Videos. I have the same model Yoton DVD player you reviewed, and it is a great media device.
