I love how they made all the straight "romance" scenes awkward and cringey just like how they often make gay scenes in heteronormative movies. It's a great added touch of satire on LGBTQIA+ representation in media
Love this movie! Always a fan of the occasional teen romcom and I'm very happy to have a queer one that isn't all about angst and tears. It followed such a stereotypical romcom formula but like...in the best way because how many LGBTQIA+ romcoms do we even have?? The closest thing we had was She's The Man and I'm pretty sure that doesn't even count lmao
I need LESS high school movies that have an ending scene on a stage in front of the whole school. if that does come up, maybe have the character’s stress or social anxiety be relevant to the story, because most kids I knew in high school would’ve had panic attacks from that shit.
