took long enough to have a brazilian character. snk was kinda huge in here during the 90s, we even had this 3, 2-store building dedicated to snk games (if my memory doesn't trick me, i saw it on the back of a local gaming magazine every now and then and yeah, of course it was in são paulo).

I don't think you've missed anything other than knowing a little bit on how T.O.P. gauge works. But yeah, it's a nice FG. I just have some qualms on how it doesn't let you do some nice combos and it seems kind of difficult to know your BnBs, but that's just because I have more experience with anime fighters.
By the way, did you know there were proximity normals? Now you know!
