Sorry guys but Who in the hell mounts such a dangerous appliance above their headboard of their bed?..Do you realize that in time or should you have a earth tremmer that thing could come down and decapiate you?.....thats real glass and when I saw your little girl sitting under it on the bed I just couldnt believe it!...A fireplace is suppose to be mounted in a room where you can see it but if its above your heads then what purpose does that serve?..Wow you really live dangerously!

Yea, I'm agreeing with those that comment on the placement, please move to the right beside the bed or by the wall facing the foot of the bed.

That is the strange place to install. If fireplace actually has built in heater then it should be closer to the floor.
How did you take off the glass piece ?
