You should never torque control arms unless suspension is at the ride height. Otherwise, the bushings will get twisted and go bad in no time. Good visual otherwise - thanks for showing the process.
Thanks for showing how relatively easy it is to change the control arms. But as other comments have mentioned, you should NEVER torque the mounting bolts of rubber bushings unless the vehicle/suspension is at normal ride height. Doing it the way you did will lead to the new bushing getting destroyed very quickly (as well as a harsher ride until the failure point).
BMW X3(2011) xdrive When driving and going over a pothole or bad road i feel the tires go in different directions and it feels like i lose direction a bit even though i hold the wheel. What control arm do i Need yo check?
Sounds like your struts are coming loose especially when going over speed bumps. You hear a clunk. Back the vehicle up then go forward. If bad their will be no question
2013 F25 X3 here. For me I noticed in 2 instances, driving the car on the highway there was a good amount of slop in the steering when holding the car straight, some bumps would even jerk the steering. The next instance was when I torqued the front wheels with a torque wrench the whole wheel would move forward with each press, meaning the bushing was extremely worn, changed the control arm with bushing and ball joint, no more slop on the highway or movement when torqueing the wheels.

You have to torque the wishbone with wheels on the floor, otherwise the rubber mount will be over torsioned.
Thanks for these photos

Great Content, I wish I could see it. You need to work on keeping everything in shot.
Nice work .
Over torqued an not torqued at neutral level or ground level.
same as x1 process?
Never use the torque wrench as as a ratchet wrench. Big no no. Also what are the signs of a bad lower control arm.

Don’t torque control arms with no weight on 🙄
You should tide the bolts with the car down
