Occasionally Siri won't respond but overall 9/10. I use it for music, getting the news. The hearing aid themselves work amazingly well. Great review. I only need one (left). I have mild upper frequency loss, was recommended Widex Moment 440, since I like music. I was told by (another audiologist that Phonak was best, did not like Widex). I am after the best chance to hear the higher frequency, not interested in blue tooth other than to program on my phone. In your opinion, is the sound actually better on the Phonak Audeo P70 vs Widex Moment 440?
Hey Mark. That's a great question and without seeing your audiogram and having a detailed chat its hard to answer. Both hearing aids process music in different ways and there are features on both that work well with music, yet at the same time things that can sometimes work against them working well. I've had some great success with the Moment's and music, however one has to be a little more careful of feedback with the Widex hearing aids over Phonak. In my opinion another viable option would be to look at Starkey. Thanks for watching.
Hi Matthew Autosense should be able to handle all environments ( as you indicate in your video ) , Hence Phonak "Restaurant" programme not needed ?? I will try Customising in the App to get a Better "Restaurant " setting ?
Hey Jon, thanks for reaching out. I’m not a big fan of the presets in the app. Best to talk to your audiologist - they’ll be able to come up with something better. Matthew
I got the Phonak Paradise over a week ago now. I think hands free phone calls work incredibly well and people can hear me well even in a reasonable amount of noise including a pub 2/3 full. I think Phonak have tweaked this feature considerably since release but currently the Bluetooth is close to perfect. I stream from my MacBook Air as well and it is fine. These are incredible pieces of technology and it will improve my life over my previous Unitron HA which did not have Bluetooth. I find also that these give substantially better hearing in just about any situation.
An absolutely wonderful review! How come you did not review Widex top of the line as a comparison? Much needed, don’t see any reviews comparable to this Phonak one anywhere.
Hey Thomas, Thank you so much!! That's a great question and I've held fire with Widex due to the age of the tech and the possibility that there may be something on the horizon (I say this solely based on the length of time since they released 'Moment'). As soon as they release something new and have it in my hands you'll all be the first to know about it. Thanks for watching, Matthew
What a helpful review. I have recently been diagnosed with a unilateral low frequency sensori-neural hearing loss in my right ear only. It was suggested that I try the Paradise P50 312. Before I progress, would you have an alternative that I could compare this with? Thank you.
Hi Shane. Of course it does very much depend on your hearing loss. we've covered the latest tech in a few of our recent reviews so check out our channel page for a full update of the most recent tech. Thanks for watching!
I discovered your very good videos today and have listened to them back to back. Is it possible to give us a rough idea of which price range these new super technical hearing aids fall into. Also, what should we expect to pay to a private audiologist for their service. I need some help, but it’s a minefield. Thank you so much for your great video and your valuable help.
Hey Stephanie, ah what a lovely message thank you. It really depends on your country and the audiologist that you see. Check out the hearing tracker website for a ballpark figure. Thanks for watching, Matthew
I have severe hearing loss in my right and deaf in my left. I was thinking about trying bicros but I stream video music all day. Would you go with the battery version? And I know you don’t get the touch or the motion sensor with battery version, is it essential? or can you live without it? Great video!
Hey TheMOSHpot, the BICROS is great, you've just got to remember that with Phonak you wont have app access with that set up. I'd go rechargeable personally as it's one less thing to worry about. Tap control - you can live without. Motion sensors should improve the Autosense 4.0 setting so it would be a shame to lose out on that. Thanks for watching and make sure that you check out the Audeo Paradise vs Audeo life video thats just been posted! Matthew
@@HearingTracker Hi, thank you for replying. I understand that rechargeable is hassle free but will the battery life last? I stream almost all day on my hearing aid (which is already rechargeable) and because it’s low Bluetooth it doesn’t die. Plus these would be bicros which would use more power? I wake up at 6am and sometimes go to bed at 1 in the morning. Thanks
Thank you for the review, it's very informative. Currently, I have Audeo V-90 Ric, which are good. But, after looking at what is available from Phonak courtesy of their Web site, curiosity has me looking at the Paradise 90 Ric 312T version. I am impressed. Great to have a UK reviewer, too. 👍
Just returned the Phonak Audeo P70-13T... didn't like the Music program to play guitar, keyboard etc. Will try another Model. Any advice will be a great help
Thank you for providing your review! I saw the Audeo Life has an extra microphone compared to the Paradise. Does that give the Life any noticeable audio benefits? I am a new hearing aid user in the process of shopping/trialing different brands. I've noticed that I seem to find little review information on the Signia AX line of hearing aids that came out late spring this year. Any thoughts on how that platform measures up against the top of the line Phonaks and Oticons?
Hey J, thanks for your feedback. As far as I am aware the life will be no different acoustically. Watch this space for further reviews on the AX line. Its work in progress.
Would you recommend the rechargeable version to be used with the Cros P? I'm under the impression that with the streaming from one side to the other the charge won't last as much making the battery version a better choice.
Hey Fernanda, that’s a great question. Sadly I’ve had a few patients reporting that the CROS R setup doesn’t last a full day. So I would go with either the battery version or if rechargeable is a must, then try out the Oticon More Rs. Thanks for watching, Matthew
HI there Roland. That all depends on the configuration of your pure tone audiogram, so it's down to your audiologist to recommend the most appropriate for your ears. Thanks for watching.
Do you know if Phonak will release soon more Paradise models? I am looking for Super Power models, a Naida or Bolero. I am trialing a Naida M90 SP now, but Marvel is missing the Bluetooth connection to 2 devices in same time. I wonder if there are rumors or plans about next launch dates... Thanks for the so nicely explained video, lots of quality information!
Hello, I have purchased paradise Naida phonak P-90 UP and so far I’m loving my new hearings aid but one thing I’m really confused was the Bluetooth that I have three devices connected on my phone and it’s called R-phonak hearing aids but I have two hearings aids connected they are called LE_L hearing aids and LE_R hearing aids. Can you tell me what is R-phonak hearing aid for and when should I use it or disconnect them . Thanks …looking forward to your reply.
Hey Vanessa, thank you for taking the time to comment. The first on your list is the hearing aids being paired with your phone, and the second and third are your hearing aids being paired via the app. Don't delete any otherwise you'll lose your app connection or the bluetooth streaming. I hope that helps? Thanks for watching, Matthew
Matthew do you have any tips on preventing the phone control from frequently disconnecting. This is a very real issue that, in my opinion, undermines ALL of the other advances in technology?
Got the Paradise HAs about a week ago…clarity is noticeably improved. They are loud, esp base…enough different from Marvels that am thinking of trying open domes again….need time to schedule a visit to redo REM with open domes. Loving the improved bluetooth capabilities.
Hello Matthew, I always enjoy watching your videos as you are honest and straight to the point. I'm having this battle between Phonak Virto Titanium P90 iic and Oticon Own 1 iic. I want the one that is better in very noisy environments such as a fast food restaurant kitchen (I work there). Recommend me with the better one please.
Hey Everything, I’m delighted that the videos are helping. One question, how adverse are you to a receiver in canal hearing aid? You’ll have far better hearing in noise if that’s your biggest challenge. Matthew
@@HearingTracker I’m 21 years old so I’d prefer the iic over ric for the discreetness. So what do you think I’m better off with, Phonak Virto or Oticon Own?
I just ordered a pair of Life's. Seems like they will be more durable. What happens to the receiver (especially the active vent if I go that route) and it gets wet. Also do these have wind reduction options (for cycling) like the Resounds or is that something that can be programed by my audiologist?
Hey Rob, thanks for watching. Yes there are parameters that we can tweak to help with that. Its worth a chat with your audiologist to see what can be done.
I wonder if there is a way on the latest Phonak Paradise to use the microphone on the telephone to talk and the hearing aids to listen, vs using the mic on the hearing aids to talk.... i.e. like the other hearing aid manufacturers likely do.
Thanks for a thorough review. I have an appointment coming up since my healthcare provider does cover Phonak Paradise. More than a decade ago, I had aids that I absolutely hated (and still do). The adjustability, bluetooth, and environmental programs are all new to me, and I might be able to actually hear people now. As it is, I am basically a hermit and avoid any situations where understanding the other person is nearly impossible (not to mention taking them on and off, feedback squeals, no music, etc.) BUT (that's a big but--haha), it will come down to cost. Thousands is outta my range.
Hi back yard. Thank you for watching and for the feedback! We aim to review tech outside of the traditional manufacturers, so stay tuned for alternative tech to help your hearing.
In my second week wearing Phonak Life as my first pair of hearing aids. They are very comfortable and amazing sound. I wonder how the Oticon More compares in sound and hearing quality. One problem with the Phonak Go Induction Charger - when I put the hearing aids into the Charger they turnoff and begin charging - as designed. However, sometime during the night they “wake up” and connect to my iPhone in the adjacent room and lose charge. I wake up to 60% charge. I assumed that turned off when in the Charger meant “turned off”. Frustrating way to start with premium hearing aids!! 🤪
Hey Barry, thanks for watching. That's great feedback to share. They should, for all intents and purposes stay off all night. Is there any chance that the power supply is becoming interrupted during the night? If you're interestedin my thoughts the Oticon More check out my review here ua-cam.com/video/5ruUnSfKSJY/v-deo.html
@@HearingTracker I find the P90 fantastic and no problem with charging but...my audiologist says that in the outer areas of Perth where the power can go off overnight. Sometimes this requires a reset of the hearing aids. I would suggest to you getting the battery for the rechargeable which fits on the bottom of the recharger. It means no chance really of interruptions to the power happening during the night.
I have been trying Starkey CROS system for the past few weeks. I just can't get on with them for numerous reasons. I am now waiting for a set of Paradise Phonak devices which are being fitted next week. I have sudden SSD ( complete and profound ). I am contemplating BAHA or Cochlear Implant but going to try these first .......
I have SSD and have tried CROS solutions from both Phonak Paradise and Oticon More. The Phonak has better bluetooth controls, but when its bluetooth is on you don't get any CROS signal. The Oticon supports simultaneous bluetooth and CROS, but it doesn't offer any on-ear bluetooth control. Neither of them is engineered for single-sided deafness, and neither of them gives you more than a fraction of the specialized hearing compensation that the condition demands, in my opinion.
At approximately 12 minutes in….. we don’t care how technically adept you are…even if you are an electronics technician or an audio engineer…. We will not provide the software so that YOU…. can adjust your hearing aids…. You will always be tethered to a doctor…. Much like how the auto dealer makes most of its money with service and repairs….. even a very technically able person will not be granted access to the full software suite of adjustments and corrections…. So…….. these devices are marked up between 5x and 10x ( much like prescription eye wear/ glasses) And……. You are not allowed to make truly fine adjustments to the HARDWARE YOU BOUGHT…as the industry keeps itself wrapped in a protective non complete blanket claiming that these are a “ medical prescription” Hearing loss is wide spread… but the monopoly on the devices and the software…. Is criminal ( should be a crime)
Thanks for taking the time to comment J. It sounds like you're dissatisfied with your current audiological care. Check out OTC devices, they may be more up your street if you're in the US. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Hi I have a pair of Audeo P90-RT. I keep getting a sort on “zing” sound when walking around the house or opening doors. My hearing aids have been back to the technicians and components replaced but I still have to same problem. Do you have any ideas as to how this can be corrected please? It is very annoying!
I'm in trial period on the paradise p50 RT and I have a question. I have a option to move up to the p70s for $500 extra, no option on the p90s. do you think the upgrade to the p70s would be worth the upgrade for the added features.
I know this video was focused on the Paradise RIC models, but wondering about the ITE versions... specifically, I'd love to know if there are any differences in the tech or features between the Paradise IIC and CIC styles? Obviously the IIC is smaller and fits deeper in the canal, but other than that, are there any features that the CIC has which the IIC doesn't? Or are they generally the same in terms of tech and features? Thanks for any insight!
I'm getting the paradise as my first ever set of hearing aids having moderate to severe high frequency loss in both ears can't wait to be able to hear people again especially in a pub setting as at the moment, I feel isolated not being able to participate in the conversation with friends as I have no idea what they are saying. Also to stop the wife nagging after asking me to do something while I another room and I didn't hear her
Hello, i bought my phonak almost3 year ago but they no longer sound like they did when I was first fitted for them. I am 88 years old and have been on lockdown
Hi Mary, that's no surprise. It's a good idea to see your audiologist at least once a year for servicing and to have your hearing reassessed. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Hey Grizzly, there are lots of different tinnitus masking options. It’s worth a visit back to see your audiologist to choose the most effective masking options for you. Thank you for watching! 😁
@@HearingTracker I had no idea, my hearing clinic doesn’t specialize in phonak. The HIS I had moved to Ottawa because that’s where her husband is now stationed . Even with her -her knowledge with phonak was limited , but now with the brand new HIS the knowledge on my phonak hearing aids is extremely limited, I will have to switch clinics. I would have definetly benefited from more tinnitus programs in the past year I’ve had these hearing aids Thanks for letting me know :)
Excellent review of the many aspects of Phonak, the Paradise and where HA are going. While I have the Costco K10 now, I like to stay up to date as technology and my needs change.
Video is very worth while and a big thank you for making it; however, like several other videos, the audiologists talks way to fast and for me and maybe others, this is a strong no/no.
Hey Harry, thanks for watching! Yes I've had this feedback on this video and have since slowed down my pace. I hope that its better in my subsequent recordings! Thanks for watching, Matthew
Thank you for your very detailed and informative review. It was really helpful. I’m currently wearing widex unique 220 aids which I’ve had for 6 years now and served me very well. But I,m going to upgrade them in the next few weeks. The phonak paradise life with the new active vent receiver look amazing and are top of my list. I especially like the Bluetooth connectivity and gesture touch control which I’d will be very useful as I do have a very active lifestyle. Can’t wait to try them out.
The phonak cross app needs to be updated so android users can use phone to make changes. Why was this not done when cross was brought out. Some people can't use buttons easily on hearing aid to make changes. Thank you It would make sense that when new hearing aid rolled out that app would be compatible at same time thank you
Hey Cathy, I couldn’t agree more. The app doesn’t work for those on a CROS at the moment. Another thing I’ve come across since recording the review is that the rechargeable CROS battery only lasts 10-11 hours, which is less than ideal. Thanks for watching and for your feedback, Matthew.
All these audiologists are full of hot air about these high technologies. I am a wearer of these top of the line Phonak hearing aids and will tell you this, those fancy features are there to rob you of your money, they don't work and only give you grief. Get yourself the basic model, use it only where it helps and make sure your fitter uses REM real ear measurement .Don't wear them in "noisy restaurants"( this phrase they love to use while pushing premium features) because you won't hear anything anyway.
Hey Bmann, thanks for watching. Yes you can connect to youre TV. You'll need a streamer to do so. Here's a link on that tech: ua-cam.com/video/l_Gqzo1We90/v-deo.html . I hope that it helps
Hi Jon. That is strange. Its worth a chat with the audiologist that fitted them. Perhaps they we're fully charged before they we're fitted to you. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for such a brilliant review. My last Phonak aids were the H2O top of range. I moved to a different supplier/audiologist after 3 years and now wear Signia NX, which I have never been truly happy with. I shall move to an independent audiologist next, so your help with keeping updated in HA technologies is fantastic. I do like the look of these aids. One question, with the recharging box, is there a multi charge option? I am planning a trip soon where I may not get a chance to plug the recharging box into the mains electricity, so to be able to recharge the HA several times would be great. Thanks again, and keep up the great work.
Hey Ian, I'm pleased that you found the review useful. Yes it is possible to convert your charger into a multi charger depending on the one that you have. Check out the 'Phonak Power Pack'. Thanks for watching.
@@HearingTracker Aid is guaranteed for 3 years only. It means that you should expect to replace it after every 3 years. N-removable battery in that aid was installed with premeditation.
I have had my Paradise P90's with custom ear pieces for about 2 years now. I have been back to my audiologist numerous times in order to get them adjusted to no avail. I spend $6K for these & while they wouldn't hold a boat in place they are junk. I would tell your patients to purchase the absolute cheapest hearing aids you have & live with what you get. That way you won't be saying way did I spend $6k on these pieces of junk.
Hi Jeff Thanks for taking the time to review and for your feedback. Has you audiologist performed Real Ear Measurements out of interest? Thanks, Matthew
@@HearingTracker Yes, when I first put them on. But I have had issues like walking into large rooms, stores, restaurants, etc. The noise canceling seems to kick into over drive. All the highs seem to get muffled and I have a hard time hearing anyone. I also get a huge occlusion effect. Every follow up adjustment the audiologist has done is, here try this. She calls Phonka every time to see if she is doing the right thing.
My wife and I bought the Marvel last year based on what I found on your channel, its been great except for it continuously disconnects from the app and she has to reconnect, literally, ever 5 minutes its disconnecting it seems. It got to the point that she barely uses it, or just uses it without the app, which is almost pointless. Did you notice this, and is this improved with this model?
Hey Steve, There have definitely been improvements with this, so there arent as many connectivity issues as there were with the Marvel range. Have a chat with your audiologist and there may even be something that can be adjusted to help with the Marvel connectivity issues. Thanks for watching and great question.
I have had my audio Paradise 90 on trial for two weeks now. Definetly got some of the advantages mentioned in the video but it keeps dropping out from my phone and changing programs. I was on a zoom call yesterday and my voice dropped out four times in an hour because the phone disconnected though I could hear the other person. This is a major issue for me and may dissuade me from purchasing. (Am experienced user of 25yrs).
Paradise P50 owner, 18 months here. App keeps going bad, all "Phonak Tech Support" says is, "Remove app from phone and load updated app." Works for about a week or two then stops working again. Connection between tube and main body has broken several times and costs me $200 each time to get fixed. NEVER AGAIN will I buy another Phonak!! Wasted $4000.
Unfortunately, its App needs to connect as soon as you click on it - rather than searching for it. Phonak Paradise needs MORE WORK to improve its connectivity. Perhaps they should ask Otican technicians how to do it?
Hey Gulten, have you got the most up to date firmware on the hearing saids and on your phone? Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, Matthew
Having two Bluetooth connections active at the same time is a myth. In fact getting the Bluetooth to connect at all is like a game of craps. I often need to reboot the hearing aid to get it to connect to the second device, when both my phone AND PC should be active together. The Unitron (same manufacturer), with the intermediary device, did much better. I am disappointed that Phonak's BT technology did not advance.
I was told that my Phonak Audeo M-90 hearing aids cost the VA $6400.00. That's crazy, they are worth maybe $300.00 at most and the bluetooth has very high latency. The Swiss are ripping off our government!
Hi Munro That really depends on the brand of your cochlear impant. Have a chat with the CI team and they should be able to answer that for you. Thanks for watching.
i got marvel no rechargeable since If you forget the charger you are doom. batterie are easy to carry in your pocket than the charger. charged batteries last few hours when regular batteries last a week. no brainer
I don’t disagree with your preference batteries are easy to carry, but I am seriously disappointed with Phonak’s decision not to provide any battery charge state software for non-rechargeable batteries. Oticon did in my previous set. I really miss that functionality. Yes, the HA does beep twice when battery strength is low, but I like to know in advance. Please consider fixing this Phonak.
There is one important thing that is not mentioned, blue tooth creating a problem. No matter phonak or Oticon, blue tooth transmits into your ear frequences that may cause infectionous symptomes as I have experienced. A hearing aid has of course an asset when you are able to get voices directly in your ear from your phone. But if a hearing aid functions as it should, you should be able to hear it ring, as well as hear people talking to you also through the phone as normal hearing persons do. Be aware of blue tooth transmissions can harm you.
why would these companies think that people want bigger hearing aids. 50% of people that have hearing aids don't even wear them because they're annoying. I want a tiny hearing aid that gets out of the way and is less cumbersome. It would be nice if somebody could create one that integrates into the temples of glasses. I could imagine what they would look like if Apple made them.
Nice review. How do these do with cookie bite loss? Most of the devices I have tried can’t properly cope with this. They give me a boost in the high bands where I don’t need it. I have a pair of Starkey Sound Lens IIC for which I paid big bucks. I have worn them less than 200 hours due to the raspy noise artifacts and the feeling of clogged ears. Thinking of buying Phonak Audeo Paradise Life pair. Do these have Activent?
I HATE the CeruSheild wax guards...have had them dislodge and it took an audiologist WITH the proper tools over 10 minutes to get that sucker out so they could put in a new one. Stupid design. Have the Marvel and like them EXCEPT they cannot be used with both the android phone(use as a phone and for podcasts or youtube) and the iPad Mini or iPad (which I use for online edu programs bcs of their bigger screens)...so I have to use standard headphones with the iPads and use only the phone with the Phonak Marvel aids. Being able to use hearing aids with all bluetooth devices without the hassle of unpairing my phone (which causes all its settings disappear and then have to be reset by the audiologist) would be ideal. Like the waterproof Life idea, except have always preferred replaceable batteries to rechargeable. My hearing aids go in at 6am and stay in until Midnight, with an average of 4hs total bluetooth streaming, plus the bluetooth phone connection is active the entire time they are worn. Currently, when the batteries die, in a few seconds fresh batteries are in. Don't have time to spend 30min recharging them for another six hrs use.
Hey Torinsall, you're not alone with that hatred for the cerushields. Marvels are great, however limited to pairing with a single device you're right. Which is a bit of a pain. Phonak have improved this with the paradise range as you've seen in the video. Thanks for taking the time to comment and make sure that you subscribe for more content like this. Thanks, Matthew

Hey Jake! That would be a worthwhile upgrade and you'll definitely notice the difference. Stay tuned in for more and thanks for watching, Matthew
Just returned the Phonak Audeo P70-13T... didn't like the Music program to play guitar, keyboard etc. Will try another Model. Any advice will be a great help
Hey AKMT123, check out Starkey and report back on how you get on! Thanks for watching, Matthew
Thanks for watching, Matthew
custom earmold, I have been told that with a mold, my heating will sound muffled. I have severe hearing loss. What is your option?
HI there Roland. That all depends on the configuration of your pure tone audiogram, so it's down to your audiologist to recommend the most appropriate for your ears. Thanks for watching.
Do you know if Phonak will release soon more Paradise models? I am looking for Super Power models, a Naida or Bolero. I am trialing a Naida M90 SP now, but Marvel is missing the Bluetooth connection to 2 devices in same time. I wonder if there are rumors or plans about next launch dates...
Thanks for the so nicely explained video, lots of quality information!
Hey Mar. Thanks for your feedback. Check out the Phonak website: www.phonakpro.com/com/en/products/hearing-aids/naida-paradise/overview-naida-p.html
Great review. Would you choose these over the Oticon More? I´m really dithering between the two.
Hey Marina, thanks for watching. Have you checked out our Oticon More review? ua-cam.com/video/5ruUnSfKSJY/v-deo.html
Hey Colin, I have a video covering this exact subject. I hope that this can help... ua-cam.com/video/CmnuhnVMqZo/v-deo.html
Got the Paradise HAs about a week ago…clarity is noticeably improved. They are loud, esp base…enough different from Marvels that am thinking of trying open domes again….need time to schedule a visit to redo REM with open domes. Loving the improved bluetooth capabilities.
Hey Torinsall
Thats great news, I'm really glad to hear your feedback. I hope you get on well after the reREM. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Thank you and congratulations for your new collaboration!
Thank you Carla 😊
Hello Matthew,
I always enjoy watching your videos as you are honest and straight to the point.
Do you know when they are going to release the sky paradise hearing aids for pediatric patients?
Hey Kylie
No news as of yet for rics. It is available as a BTE. I'll post when I have an update.
Which model is the Costco kirkland one?
None of the above.
Hey Brian, Great question and sadly the answer is still no at present. They do have a great selection of accessories that can help though.
What is the price of the paradise life please
Hey Arthur, thanks for watching. Check out www.hearingtracker.com Matthew
@@Inspectergadget69 I only got half of that so you're saying they should switch to the 312 version yeah?
I have been trying Starkey CROS system for the past few weeks. I just can't get on with them for numerous reasons. I am now waiting for a set of Paradise Phonak devices which are being fitted next week. I have sudden SSD ( complete and profound ). I am contemplating BAHA or Cochlear Implant but going to try these first .......
Hey Gary, great to hear from you. I'd also take a look at the Oticon CROS too...I've has some great success with them. Thanks, Matthew
Are they Alexa compatible?
At approximately 12 minutes in…..
we don’t care how technically adept you are…even if you are an electronics technician or an audio engineer…. We will not provide the software so that YOU…. can adjust your hearing aids…. You will always be tethered to a doctor….
Much like how the auto dealer makes most of its money with service and repairs….. even a very technically able person will not be granted access to the full software suite of adjustments and corrections….
So…….. these devices are marked up between 5x and 10x ( much like prescription eye wear/ glasses)
And……. You are not allowed to make truly fine adjustments to the HARDWARE YOU BOUGHT…as the industry keeps itself wrapped in a protective non complete blanket claiming that these are a “ medical prescription”
Hearing loss is wide spread… but the monopoly on the devices and the software….

@@HearingTracker thanks for the quick reply
Thank you! Your videos are terrific and helps us understand our hearing aids much better. 😊
Hi Chim, I'm so pleased that they've helped. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Hi Barry, watch this space. I have it recorded, just need to do the edit! Thanks for watching, Matthew
I'm getting the paradise as my first ever set of hearing aids having moderate to severe high frequency loss in both ears can't wait to be able to hear people again especially in a pub setting as at the moment, I feel isolated not being able to participate in the conversation with friends as I have no idea what they are saying. Also to stop the wife nagging after asking me to do something while I another room and I didn't hear her
Hey Sambora, haha! I hope they work well for you. Thanks for watching, Matthew

Nice but how well does it work with music
Hey Jesse, great question. Streaming music or picking up music using the mics? Thanks for watching. Matthew
@@HearingTrackerI was talking about picking up music using the mics. Thanks for replying
Is there anyway I could change the tinnitus masker to the wave sounds? Or is there just one setting- on and off?
Hey Grizzly, there are lots of different tinnitus masking options. It’s worth a visit back to see your audiologist to choose the most effective masking options for you.
Thank you for watching! 😁
@@HearingTracker I had no idea, my hearing clinic doesn’t specialize in phonak. The HIS I had moved to Ottawa because that’s where her husband is now stationed . Even with her -her knowledge with phonak was limited , but now with the brand new HIS the knowledge on my phonak hearing aids is extremely limited, I will have to switch clinics.
I would have definetly benefited from more tinnitus programs in the past year I’ve had these hearing aids
Thanks for letting me know :)
Excellent review of the many aspects of Phonak, the Paradise and where HA are going. While I have the Costco K10 now, I like to stay up to date as technology and my needs change.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching Bonnie

Thank you
It would make sense that when new hearing aid rolled out that app would be compatible at same time thank you
Hey Cathy, I couldn’t agree more.
Thanks for the feedback Sapare, Matthew

Problem is that when the non-removable battery will sop charging (3 years ?), you will have to toss the entire hearing aid.
Hey Gancarz, great question. I believe the life of the battery is guaranteed for 5 years. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Hi Jeff
Thanks for taking the time to review and for your feedback.
How far can a cellphone be from patient for a Phonak Paradise to work?
Hey BedtoKen
They use standard Bluetooth, however I recommend to all my patients to keep the phone on them. Thanks for watching, Matthew
Thanks Matthew.

Hey Make it Blue, I believe there are app updates coming out soon. Watch this space. Thanks for watching, Matthew
I think at least someone should say that this guy is amazingly good looking "for an audiologist".
HAHAH Thanks for watching Will! Make sure that you subscribe for more! Matthew
No t-coil in this new "Life"?
No T coil no. Thanks for watching Claudia 🙂
Hey Cecil, I’m hoping that the BT tech does continually improve with hearing aids as time goes on. Thanks for watching, Matthew
It's is oky to leave the charger plug in the outlet after full charge?......thank you'
Hey Bayani, It should be no different compared to any of your other electronic devices. Thanks for watching.
I was told that my Phonak Audeo M-90 hearing aids cost the VA $6400.00. That's crazy, they are worth maybe $300.00 at most and the bluetooth has very high latency. The Swiss are ripping off our government!
Hey Independent, I imagine that covers the hearing aids and the audiologists ongoing services too?
Are there any plans to enable the Phonak Paradise to stream or connect to the Marvel Cochlear Implant Sound Processors?
Hi Munro
That really depends on the brand of your cochlear impant. Have a chat with the CI team and they should be able to answer that for you. Thanks for watching.
Take it apart and put back together and it will be ok
Always good advice! Thanks for watching Amby
i got marvel no rechargeable since If you forget the charger you are doom. batterie are easy to carry in your pocket than the charger. charged batteries last few hours when regular batteries last a week.
Hey JM F. Yes you're right, there are pros and cons to both! Thanks for watching, Matthew
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment Ivar, Matthew
Sad only got choice of two colours.
Hi Cotton, thanks for watching. There are plenty of Colors to choose from. Check out the chapter on hearing aid Colors.
Hi
Hey there, thanks for watching 😁
why would these companies think that people want bigger hearing aids. 50% of people that have hearing aids don't even wear them because they're annoying. I want a tiny hearing aid that gets out of the way and is less cumbersome. It would be nice if somebody could create one that integrates into the temples of glasses. I could imagine what they would look like if Apple made them.
Very good point Richard. We have some videos on EXACTLY that subject coming soon. Stay tuned for more and thanks for watching.
My god that is one handsome man...
