    When you enter a new market where the established players (BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, VW) have been dominating the scene for more than five decades, you have to make great efforts to be noticed and to build trust for your products. In economics, such obstacles are called market entry barriers. These barriers must be overcome. This takes time and a lot of different measures and activities. NIO Houses are a very good way to introduce the company, the brand and its products and mobility solutions. I am sure that the market entry will be successful. Anyone who has driven an ET7 or EL7 will agree with me. First-class vehicles that do not have to shy away from comparison with the established upper middle class and luxury class. Moreover, battery swapping is the outstanding unique selling point of NIO.

    Nobody will talk about these doubts anymore after the first month with more than 20.000 deliveries. Expected in may/june.

    In the US the state of California is going to require all new vehicles to be EV by 2035, I believe all government vehicles as well. Can you imagine a police car in the middle of the shift runs out of battery power. Do you think they have enough time to for a 40 minute charge up, or would it faster to do a 5 minute battery swap.🤔

    NIO faces a lack of understanding of business model due to most “traders” looking for a “quick buck” This is in “investors” stock. Just like another company we know well- The early days are full of cash burns and disappointment heightenened by doubt, negativity and then bashing. It’s very high risk. I see a massive upside once it all comes together. I look forward to that day.and btw, GO NIO

    I invest in nio not so much as to back the founders vision at all but to make money as an investment!! a year or two ago the sky was the limit then it tanked and now the story line is so far different..

      no, the story line is not different at all. all that has changed is price and your perception. sounds like you don't know what you are investing in and also that you have a pretty short-term vision.

      @@DONGXiiTheChinaOpportunity well basically what he is saying is technically correct. However, as youy mentioned the story isn't different, but people's perception of the story has changed due to the share price tanking. Just watch when this stock goes up again during the new bull market, then people will all of a sudden believe in the story again lol.

    I 100% agree, I find most people that are invested in NIO dont really understand it's business model. Constant complaints and comparisons between Tesla and NIO, Li Auto and NIO or even Xpeng and NIO. NIO is a unicorn in the EV landscape and it's definitely risky for investors. But I would most definitely want my money in a company that's willing to stand out from the crowd because I believe the upside will one day be absolutely massive. Thanks Marcel!

  • @havencat9337
    @havencat9337 Рік тому +6

    well said. People somehow expect all companies to be the same, but i think being different its the only way to compete. You cant beat Tesla, they are for a reason the king of EV. So having Nio houses and a highly curated brand its something that is very unique to NIO.

  • @NIO4LIFE
    @NIO4LIFE Рік тому +6

    BYD is the Tesla of China. Tesla is the EV variant of Volkswagen of the United States.
    NIO is... I... no, NIO isn't just a car company it's a collective mess of different things. But mainly a man's (naive) dream of a better future which stands for luxury, ease, and community..
    Yes, that sounds like a horrible "company" to invest in because most companies need to be streamlined in order to generate the most amount of money. So, if we're talking about assessing risks, then this might be one of the riskiest companies to invest in. So why should you invest? Because NIO is one of its kind, this might go wrong horribly, or it might blow up to be the first company to do things differently. No, it won't be the first because Apple is the first.. people are willing to drop on their knees to perform "fallacious" for anything that apple releases. The company can't do anything wrong, and people will be dropping on their knees forever when it comes to Apple. And just like that, NIO might change the world because it's different, but don't confuse Apple for a company of ideals it's been transformed into a very streamlined money sucking machine through the years.
    If NIO makes it, it will be a unicorn, and that alone is worth the risk of being invested in it.
    NIO sales reps should ask every potential buyer: what other than money do you find important in life?
    The answer should be what NIO symbolizes.

    Many good points. There's no other company quite like NIO. It's always been a speculative company for me, but all things considered, they have accomplished amazing things so far. Investors must be patient and don't put all eggs in one basket.

  • @XiangJi
    @XiangJi Рік тому +1

    It remains speculative at this point, until Nio can monetize all this extra stuff, and demonstrate that they can make Nio ownership more “sticky”.

    Good video, thanks!
    I personally think NIO works smarter than Tesla. Tesla thinks the method is to lower the prices of the luxury vehicles. She doesn't understand that whoever buys an S model isn't looking for a car at an affordable price, he's looking to show off. Yes, in my opinion lowering prices for S and X is simply a bad idea. As for the Model 3 and Y, they are still expensive vehicles, and they cannot be produced at a price that suits the average person. So instead of messing around with a cheap model, and improving the production cost for profit. She is busy cutting prices stupidly. NIO, on the other hand, is busy improving its service, which is by definition a premium service, thus attracting premium consumers. At the same time as ordinary people, it builds a cheap car, but not an extra premium one. That's why I don't think she's the little boy, copying his older brother, I think she's acting smarter (personal opinion is not advisable and it should be noted that she's still a more dangerous company than Tesla)

      NIO has taken the premium BEV segment in China, even Tesla had to cut prices and re-position. Now watch them complete their line-up and then venture into other segments next. Thats what the factories are for. Don't cry about a couple of months ... seeesh people really have no sense of how long it takes to build brands and startups.

    Cars will become more and more like smartphones. We all remember what it was like before they were introduced.
    Unfortunately, we will only see a few car companies left after an intense period of global competition. I believe Nio has a place among these because they offer something different than most other manufacturers. Building an ecosystem around the car itself with excellent service, batteryswap and a community, might pay off, but only if the customers are willing to pay extra for this. Seems like batteryswap is not going to be as popular in Europe and the Americas as it is in China. This is mainly because of population density and ability to charge at home, however it is nice to be able to change the underbody of the vehicle sometimes, especially in the winter with salt and corrosion.
    Fast charging is now 18 minutes from 10-80% for cars without swapping, so only 10 more minutes than a Nio. People have pointed out that because you cannot leave the car while it is swapping, you will spend the same amount of time as fastcharging because you also want to get som snacks and go to the toilet when you are doing a pit stop.
    I think Nio should focus on letting you leave the car while it swaps, also offer fast-charging like competitors and possible combine swapstation with car wash.

    • @DONGXiiTheChinaOpportunity
      @DONGXiiTheChinaOpportunity  Рік тому +1

      NIO has 500 Kw fast chargers and fast charging is just fine for most use cases. However, there is more to swapping than just replenishing power.

    TOTALLY AGREE !
    If a stockholder is not mostly in agreement with NIO's business model, then there are plenty of other EV companies to invest in. Investors can certainly have disagreements, but I see comments like, "NIO should close all NIO houses and not spend the cash." These people might even eventually be correct...but, they should not be holders of NIO stock...they should just move on. NIO represents a big change in many ways...it comes with risk. Those who can't take this risk should either significantly decrease the size of their NIO investment, or just move on to other companies.
    Imo, these disgruntled shareholders want it both ways ......should NIO succeed, they make money on their holdings..... should NIO not do well, they can say "I told you so...."
