  • "Carnivore Desserts" may be the ultimate oxymoron but I still made one on day three of the Carnivore Diet! In my latest vlog I share the recipes I made on my third day of Carnivore, including a carnivore mug cake that can be made in the microwave and takes less than 5 minutes. This is made by combining 1 tbsp melted butter with an egg, 1 tbsp cream, 1 tbsp collagen, 1 tbsp instant coffee, combining and heating in microwave for one minute. Full recipe is in the accompanying reel on IG @grillgrilrobyn.

Wow 13 pounds! I was already eating very carnivorish but more I'd say more on the animal based/ketovorish side. I am definitely really questioning vegetables and why we need them now.

Been carnivore fo nearly 2 yeears and still loving it. Healed my IBS, arthritis, eczema and acne. If I have anything non animal based now, those things start coming back. The carb/sweetness addiction disappears after a couple of weeks and the longer you do it, the easier it becomes until it's just the way of life. Keep going!

Thank you for your feedback! I have been eating animal based for some time but I think going strict carnivore for a week really made me think about some of the things I had been sneaking in so that's a plus!!

I also follow the carnivore diet, but I use a sweetener, I can’t give it up yet, but it doesn’t interfere with weight loss

Next time try chicken flour or crushed pork skins instead of almond flour. You can make both of these products for much less than buying. Stay positive and don't beat yourself up.

thanks for the tip. I think I have officially broken up with almond flour. Plus I know that almonds have a lot of pesticides used on them.

A week is not enough time to heal a health challenged gut.

I 100% agree. I am still working on my gut but doing a more animal based diet. I believe I have SIBO so Carnivore was good for that but I also feel that my adrenals are very stressed and I think only eating meat is making it worse. I need to add in some juices I think. I am very inspired by the work of the late Dr Raymond Peat and have started looking into his metabolic health research. That seems to be the natural progression for many people who did Carnivore for a while. But not eating vegetables and fruit has been really good to help with the bloating.

I don’t blame you for having a drink. That hurricane was stressful for lots and lots of people!!!

I think it's good to try new things so you don't get bored. The dessert only took 5 minutes. I usually eat pretty carnivorish even before starting this - my standard is steak with LOTS of butter!

Your carnivore "based" diet appears to be doing well for you.

I've always eaten very carnivorish, but I was surprised I wasnt missing vegetables more! Thanks for tuning in! Are you carnivore?

What is 97 on a scale? Is that pounds? That is tiny😳

I should say, I don’t weigh myself on a scale. Last time the doctor weighed me after my son was born in 1995, it said about 117lbs; that was god enough for me. Now I go by how my clothes fit…chuck out the scale👍

I agree, I usually just go by how I feel. I don't want to be obsessed with a number. Mainly, I wanted to do this to see if it helped with the tummy issues and bloating and it totally did. I do feel that I have adrenal fatigue and not sure if the strict carnivore is helping with that so I am doing more animal based and looking to the nutrition research of the late Dr Raymond Peat. Cheers , Robyn

Thanks so much for tuning in Morgan I appreciate it. I committed to doing this for 7 days! My gut is a wreck so I decided that carnivore is something that could be potentially beneficial. Longer term I think I am more "animal based" as I do believe our bodies need some glucose BUT since I am trying to kill off bacteria I thought this was a good start. The women I visited who looked at my blood suggested a candida diet but there is a lot of conflicting info on what is allowed on a candida diet, with some saying even veggies are bad if you are trying to kill off overgrowths. So the carnivore seemed like a good start. Cheers, ~ Robyn
