(which is what many of these videos do after confirming jumpless is impossible anyways...), we naturally deduce the answer can be non-binary, and each individual jump might even have a story of its own, and so would any skipped jump to a lesser extent. It's not a big deal but I can see how it could get a bit annoying.
58:22 the toxic barrel jiggy is actually obtainable using a clockwork warp to access the backside of the room as BK and shooting the barrels. We do this in speedruns because (as you well know) the steps to get there normally are waaaaay too slow. Unfortunately getting back to the front of the barrel room would require a shock spring jump, so you can't get to the Clinkers game this way, though.
Young me was terrified of Zombie Jimjo King. To such a degree my older brother would troll me about him being OK just to Laughs when I got scared. Good times.
You can't imagine how much I relate to this, except that I was the older brother, my little brother got so scared when I entered the palace that sometimes he even cried.
What scared me about both games, and it took me many many years to figure it out, but the sound from swimming down to get Clanker to the surface. The high pitched buzzing they added to the music as you swim down there mimicked the pressure on your ears of diving so far down.
for me, Banjo Tooie was more tolerable, but to this day, I cannot play Mad Monster Mansion without my heart racing. I don't know why, because on the surface it isn't all that spooky of a level, heck I have it pretty well memorized, but for some strange reason, I keep feeling this fear when I enter it and am thankful when I leave.

I'd disagree. Banjo-Tooie is definitely better the first time you play it compared to a second or third playthrough. It is still the best compared to Banjo-Kazooie though.
I remember a stream a long time ago when you were trying to figure this out! I see you did end up using the suggestion I had at the time for playing kickball in Mayahem Temple... and also didn't have any more luck playing kickball in Hailfire Peaks than I did at the time. It's great to see this finally out! I enjoyed it.
Completing Banjo-Tooie with over 70 jiggies, whilst only jumping 6 times... Let's just sit back and think about what an achievement that is. You, sir, are fantastic.
Just a small neat thing I just noticed when I was playing while watching the video, the yellow jinjo on the ledge behind the big door (where the quicksand jiggy is) in Mayahem can be grabbed with the golden golem. His kick extends just far enough vertically to go through the floor of the alcove and touch the jinjo. Dunno if you knew it or if it makes a difference whatsoever, but that's 1 jinjo in a family of 3 that would otherwise require a jump. Edit: I see you brought up the jinjo later in the video, welp. At least it saves a run back over the clockwork chicken option.
Hey DPad, something I wish everyone knew is that Klungo's potions are random ONLY on the N64 version. They follow a set order on the Xbox 360 version - in the Spiral Mountain fight, he grows; in the Pine Grove fight he makes himself invisible; in the Cauldron Keep fight he multiplies. Since you play on the Xbox 360 version, he will ALWAYS follow that pattern.

Turns out 7:48, the Bill Drill can be obtained jumpless with a precise midair flap into a ground pound. Just watched JinjoVitis do it. So you can cross that jump off the list. Also you guys already have interacted with each other in the comments. Cool! I love both of your videos.

Anyways congratulations on the video. I could feel your pain in some parts because I went through the same thing. But overall it was a really fun challenge (a lot of problem solving)
I learned something! A Tooie speedrunner decided to check some stuff after seeing my video, he told me that you can apparently grab onto poles / ladders if you blow yourself up... while in talon trot.

oh boy my favorite game done in new way. honestly i didnt expect this would happen. while the duo is more mobile, i thought the big worlds are too hard to conquer. im currently at 30min (and have to leave now) but only 4 jumps? damn. i knew about clockwork eggs but i didnt expect youd reach them in 3 jumps. really impressive stuff. i also didnt expect that grenade eggs would be this useful. tragic sidestory, when i was a kid and i entered grundys factory with the train, i saved and quit before opening the main gate. and i didnt know you can call the train by "talking" to the sign at any train station. i deleted my file and started over again :( stupid tiny me. so far really impressive, i will watch the other half later today when i got time

Someone probably already said this, but you can use Banjos sleep move to just gain 1 honeycomb back before getting squished again (by either the trash compactor or Stomponadon), then you'll only lose that one honeycomb, since the squish always leaves you with 1 honeycomb. Saves a little time~
I did discover (completely on accident) that you can collect everything in the game (minus 5 music notes and one Green Jinjo) without learning Leg Spring. I was clearing it 100%, wondered how to get up to that spot in Grunty Industries, then looked over and saw the Jamjars lid.
Hey buddy I couldn't ever beat the bird race in cloud cuckooland. When I was a kid. But there's a trick to win. You push the button at a steady pace. To stay beside him. If you get to far ahead of him. He'll rubberband past and you can't win. Basically wait till the very end to mash as fast as you can. Then you'll pass him to win the race. 👍
This game and Mario Party are why I am so fast at mashy-button games. I must have played through this game at least 5 or 6 times, and I am always exhausted by the time I beat Canary Mary in Cloud Cuckoo, but I am able to beat her with nothing but the simple controller and my human fingers mashing frantically on the A button. I usually have several sugary snacks beforehand for energy, and take several pause breaks as we go, but the past few times I've played it, I've not had to rematch her on it. It took a lot of practice against her before I got this fast at button mashing though XP
You may have heard by now, but the Cloud Cuckooland Canary Mary races can be beaten by just tapping the button slowly until near the end. Just keep her near you and you should be fine

DPadGamer I would argue otherwise; while the frame rate is smoother and textures are nicer many of the rhyming gags are lost and the control scheme - to me at least - feels wonky. I find it odd that I feel this way since I first played the B-K games on Xbox but something about playing on N64 feels better (don’t forget that tons of old school controllers with turbo buttons exist out there so Canary Mary in CCL becomes a breeze). Plus those low res textures and speech box sprites have that old school charm. All the same I respect those who play both and don’t think it determines whether or not you’re a “true gamer” that’s just gatekeeping.

I must have played through this game at least 5 or 6 times, and I am always exhausted by the time I beat Canary Mary in Cloud Cuckoo, but I am able to beat her with nothing but the simple controller and my human fingers mashing frantically on the A button. I usually have several sugary snacks beforehand for energy, and take several pause breaks as we go, but the past few times I've played it, I've not had to rematch her on it. It took a lot of practice against her before I got this fast at button mashing though XP

You may have heard by now, but the Cloud Cuckooland Canary Mary races can be beaten by just tapping the button slowly until near the end. Just keep her near you and you should be fine
Game came out in 2000 I played it when I was 5 in 2006 and I love how he has to explain the mechanics as if it came out this year

DPadGamer I would argue otherwise; while the frame rate is smoother and textures are nicer many of the rhyming gags are lost and the control scheme - to me at least - feels wonky. I find it odd that I feel this way since I first played the B-K games on Xbox but something about playing on N64 feels better (don’t forget that tons of old school controllers with turbo buttons exist out there so Canary Mary in CCL becomes a breeze). Plus those low res textures and speech box sprites have that old school charm. All the same I respect those who play both and don’t think it determines whether or not you’re a “true gamer” that’s just gatekeeping.

on the jiggy of 53:59, you don't actually need the damage boost, just walking silently (like the slumber snake jiggy) doesn't wake the caveman up
