Marcus Miller is an excellent composer as well as bassist! He just works that bass like it's part of his core being.
saw them live in NY, poogie, marcus and mr. brown back in 2002, now 20 years later this tune still sends shivers down my spine, it does not get any better
How many can play a bass like it's a lead guitar? LOVE that its funky AND sophisticated - breakin' the rules that put it straddlin' between somewhere in FUNK and JAZZ!!!! GIT on down & back up again alright!!!

Love my boy Dean Brown. This guy is just an endearing soul. Met him at my brother's wedding. Very humble spirit about him. Like that in people.
This version really kicks ass and Marcus' solo is ABSOLUTE CLASS.
