    haha, this sounds like our kinda welding. IE weld, grind, weld grind, weld grind grind grind. Seriously though, awesome design, love how it looks like a faceted cut diamond

      It's awesome!!!! I'm not a great welder but that's why God created grinders right?

    As a welder myself, you did a pretty good job. The joints aren't easy to do a clean job with mig, with tig it could be better, but overall very nice project, keep up the good work

    Really cool! Love the cover shot in the water too. And, now we know the answer to the age-old question of why the chicken(s) crossed the road... Because they had an awesome steel fire pit dropped down next to them, of course...

    Love this! If you already have a welder this could be incredibly cheap. If you don't you can buy a stick welder for pennies, and it'd be perfectly possible to do this without mig. Great job man, been watching a while now and the progression is awesome!

    That's actually a pretty cool project for beginner welders and in all reality you could save a lot of grinding if you had access to a mig other than flux core cause it's pretty much just tacks but coming from an experienced welder I thought you did a pretty good job

    I am a master welder, and I will tell you it is difficult to weld small rounds like you did, and make it look good.
    I like the design a lot.
    I have been designing a BBQ/Smoker setup much like what you have.
    You did gooood!

    Well done 👍. Like the design; light weight, looks great. Keep practicing with your welding, it will get better! My first attempts at welding were not great either and while I’m no pro welder my welding now is pretty good (having a new good welder does help). My first attempt at a fire grill/grate was a monstrous heavy as all get out clunker lol. Cheers from Australia.

    As a total novice in metal work, is there a product that you can use to cover the metal after all the welding etc to make it look clean? Say for example to change the colour? Or must it stay as is?

    I'm no pro, just have some experience with MIG and oxy-acetylene, but I'd probably do it all in oxy-acetylene since I'm just more comfortable with it and it's cleaner and requires less clean up lol

    Is it on your website yet? Where do you use the 3/8" and 7/16" dial steel rods? I'm assuming 7/16" is the frame and 3/8" are the side supports?

  • @mass4552
    @mass4552 5 років тому

    A BBQ grill from a scrap BBQ would have served as a bottom for the "firebox". A lot less welding compared to the grill you welded.

  • @dragonsnack1335
    @dragonsnack1335 6 років тому
