Life imprisonment for making a false statement is a bit harsh, and to be fair most of the blame lies with the people who actively ruin the reputation of the accused - the media. In this country a person is considered to be innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt so portraying someone as if they're already guilty is the bigger crime here.

* Did she check into some sort of therapy after the incident because that wasn't supposed to be a good experience?
