Do you know if there is a difference between us version or european version of the NTG 5.1 20?
I have an W176 built 2017 but there is no settings menu like this for me in the navigation... Also I can't do either of the key combinations with *hangup*3*star* or *hangup*1*pound*. It either shows "no device connected" or "drive unavailable".
Any ideas?

Hi Mani, My car is a CLA 250 2015 Sport 4matic. I checked the VIN number and the command code is "531 - COMAND APS NTG5/NTG5.5" and the car was manufactured in March/2015. My head unit is the same as your video, large screen and two usb inputs, but both have an indication of the usb symbol, unlike the your video that has two symbols (usb and smartphone). From your experience, do you think I will be able to enable Carplay in my car?
Hi Ricardo, apologies in the delay in my response. Does your head unit have a silver surrounding or a black one? Also, whilst 531 Command sounds like it should be compatible, it really falls down to the firmware version of the unit. If its dated then most likely you wont be able to activate it. Seeing the car is build March 2015, I think its a pre Apple Carplay firmware so the head unit would need updating. Also, I have never heard of both ports having the dual logo on it before unless someone has modified the ports some how.

Can't seem to access it as my car is a japan import 2016 but when I check the VIN it says comand aps ntg5/ngft 5.5. Is that compatible with ngts1 obd port?

My car is CLA250 4matic Year 2018 at Canada. Do you know which NTG version of my system? The outlook of the system is exactly the same as u are showing in your video.
CLA are a little different as they came in with the facelift a little later. I have other videos in the playlist where I show other ways to identify the system. Please watch them first and then I can help.

Hi there. Some help please! So I was confident I have the NTG5. That has prevented me getting an adapter to retrofit install android auto because I've been told I need NTG5.1 which I don't have.
However, I've done this check in the nav, and mine too says NTGstar1 - does that mean I actually have NTG5.1?
Hi, if your nav says that and if the appearance is the same as the one in the video then its down to the model and software version. I checked I have ngt5s1 and I also have car play from beginning but I tried the blue device for activating android auto and that didn't work
What is NTG5E...is that compatible?
Hi, I have a C class 2018 sports saloon which I believe comes with audio20. Could you confirm that it supports android auto/carplay? Should I be able to activate this?
Hi, C class 2018 is not supported sorry. It does not have the same audio system.

Hey Mani. I have a Mercedes GLA 200 (2016 Model) in Brazil and I am not getting into the engineering mode (NTG5Star1). I had several commands!
The only screen that I got access is the "MAKER DIAG".

Hey Mani, I have a 2016 GLE350. I'm 99% sure I have Comand APS NTG5 system like you show in this video but I'm missing lots of settings. When I hit NAVI, I don't have the same options as you. Start voice input, settings etc. are missing. I cannot access the engineering menu using hang up + # + 1. Is there any other option to get to engineering menu? I also tried Hang up + * + 3. I can connect my phone via bluetooth but have no option in radio/music settings to play music via bluetooth. I was able to in my 2014 GLK350 just fine with this same phone. I tried connecting my phone via USB in the port with the phone icon and it doesn't do anything but charge my phone. Media function also doesn't show all the options it should. Thanks!
Hey, it sounds like you have some issues with the current audio system. If it cannot do the basics like playing through Bluetooth that sounds like a hardware or firmware issue.
I will have a video coming soon on how to enter the engineering mode for those who cannot access it through those codes. So you can attempt that and if it doesn't fix it then most likely a visit to the dealers to update the firmware on the device but it will cost a bit.

i have done the same steps like in this video and the other video to finally connect it. I also have a NTG5star1 radio. (looked up in navi settings).
I get the DAGI symbol but when I try to connect it with my phone trough the cable. nothing appears.
i have a GLA 250 4Matic year 2019.

Hey man, as your car is a 2019 model I don't think it's possible due to the software version. I have a video coming soon on that, will link you and you can then confirm the version no to me and I will double-check for you.

Yes if your audio system is the not the same as the one in the video then it's not compatible. Please don't attempt. It will mess up the entire audio system for you.
