if you're going to put a coffee bar near a window, I would make sure that none of the syrups get hit with direct sunlight!

My dad’s an appliance repairman. He can confirm your research about LG and Samsung and their negative reviews are very true, at least in his experience.

Love seeing your homeowner diaries! My first home that I bought was a townhome and my realtor arranged a home warranty paid for by the seller, it was the best thing ever. When my ac went out, I didn’t have to pay to get it fixed. The repair man said it was a good thing I had it because it would’ve cost me $3500 to fix it. I live in Louisiana and there’s no way I could go without ac in the summer. Your parents are so cute, I love how happy and proud they are of you and your home. Thank you again for sharing ❤️🙏🏽

i think appliance shopping (and furnishing the house) was definitely my favorite part in the home buying process 😊 and i'm so glad you stuck with your gut-feeling about the fridge - my hubby (and one of his friends) did a lot of research on kitchen appliances when we both bought our houses and bosch is a great brand! (i think it's not as known because it's german, AND it just tends to cost more 😅) and if you're able to, black friday is right around the corner so can definitely snatch up a good quality (and good sized) TV then too! congrats again selena - so excited for you in this new chapter! 🎉

I've had an LG fridge for years and I like that it barely uses any power and does what it is supposed to do.

Not a lot of people talk about the things you mentioned because many first time homeowners buy turnkey homes with HOA. You are steps ahead of them.
I would definitely see the bottom as a master bedroom. Then the upstairs congratulations. I can't wait to see what happens and what you do to your new home.

Hello! New subscriber, just felt I should give a little helpful advice. I’ve bought my house 3 years ago and it is just me and my pup so I felt very overwhelmed when moving in thinking about the lonnng list of things I need to do but being excited makes you wnt to do everything all at once. But after being in the house for a few years now I’ve realized that take your time. Make the big purchases slowly because things change and as you live in the house you get a better sense of how you wnt it to flow. Good luck and congratulations!

Got LG and regret it I had GE for YEARS and my stove gave up over 10 yrs later (stainless steel) my fridge wasn’t even bad and still working but bought everything new and now I wish i would of stuck to GE I’ve already had to fix my fridge 2x in about 1 1/2

We’ve had really good luck with LG and the one issue we had they sent a tech to the house free of charge - I think it always just depends but either way congrats and can’t wait to see more home videos 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
We’ve had our Samsung fridge for 3 years and we love it…no issues. It also came with a 10 yr warranty :)
Congratulations on your new home.. I've also been antcipating your frig shopping. Mine went dead recently and im in the market for a new one and didn't realize it would be so stressful. Like you said the Samsung and LG has a lot of negative reviews and I would hate to spend so much for something that fails. Even with a warranty. Whirlpool and Fridgedaire have never failed me or my family members. Samsung and LG are always for sale used. A couple years old and being sold. Have had good luck with Bosch as well.
Whirlpool 💯 my Mum bought a state of the art one in 1991 and it’s still amazing- we were going to replace it , our tenants said no way lol
The many decisions that come with being a new homeowner. Remember to take it day by day and you got this.

i have a whirlpool fridge and its great but i just wish the freezers were bigger. i LOOVEE the 4 door freezer fridges! i didnt even know that existed thats crazy.
The bug thing (spraying/screens/sealing holes) is so real 😭 definitely a big shock
I have all Samsung appliances in my house. Fridge, microwave, stove, washer and dryer. Never had any issues. I’ve had them all for about a year. I do think my prior fridge did get colder. I think my prior fridge was a GE.

We have a Samsung and it's ok. It has 6 years in February so it's lasting ok too.
We have a Samsung chef collection fridge for 8 years already, no problem. But maybe that differs for the US market. European models don't have an ice maker and water dispenser. Good luck with all your purchases 🙂

I have all Samsung appliances since the previous owner flipped the home and bought them all as a set. I then bought my own front load washer and dryer which are both Samsung. My fridge only has an ice maker in the lower freezer portion though. I follow someone else on UA-cam with a Samsung fridge and she has had nothing but issues with water pooling and freezing in the bottom of her fridge. So odd.
There's a ton when owning a house. Mu husband and I bought two and sold one.
i got a 75inch TV on sale from walmart for like $300?? it’s a vizio and i love it! ive seen that sale pretty often just fyi :)
I only kept the home warranty for the first year and the seller paid for it. I ended up just replacing the AC for a brand new one and did not need it anymore but I knew that would have to happen soon. I had them come out like 5 or 6 times repeatedly to repair the AC but it was so old and had so many problems. Please keep in mind they will FIGHT you every step of the way and force a repair over and over before they will usually replace something.
Who did you get your home warranty through? I'm going through American home shield (my agent uses them and recommended them since she just had her fridge replaced since they we rent able to fix it)
@@SelenaTrevino I had them as well! My AC was almost 30 years old but the outside unit was 10 years. I think the portion in the attic was the true problem. When I had it replaced after my home warranty expired I learned that the air circulating box was cut open and taped shut but so I was basically air conditioning my attic! The people who came out to repair it for the home warranty thought some wiring was wrong and one who came out had no clue how to fix it. I was so frustrated with them and my utilities went down with the new unit.
I have a Samsung for 10 years now that's not even a good to tell you that 😞😞 they're amazing fridge freezers

We have had nothing but Samsung for 25 years and it is the only brand we buy.
Please check out a good, neighborhood hardware before you call a pest control company. Take pictures of what you see crawling around.
There are PLENTY of bottles with easy to use sprays you can use on the exterior (and interior) with the right information.
Yes that’s what I meant 🥹 I actually bought my own spray and we will be spraying the perimeter ourselves! I’ll also be using essential oils in the home as a natural remedy indoors 🫶🏽
I would only do pest control if, after trying it ourselves, we still have a big bug issue 😅

This is what I hate about new builds. The developers know damn well that most people want water and ice for their fridge but they didn't add the line when it would've been easy to before drywall. New builds these days cut corners on everything.
This is not a new build, my house is from the 80s!! Actually new builds tend to add water lines and outlets above fireplaces for TVs, older homes we have to add them in bc things are different now than they were in the 80s.

I loved it except that maybe the way I was raised I wasn’t allowed to talk English to my parents 🫣 specially because they don’t speak it.
Yeah, we’re definitely all raised differently h🤪 my mom learned English after moving to the US as a teenager… and I’m proud of her but I know it’s not the case for everyone and that’s completely okay too! 🫶🏽
