I just don’t get how that can work. When I moved in with my boyfriend he had already been living alone for 5 years (renting). We lived maybe 20min away from each other, I was living in my parents house as I was completing my degree. For us, it was not a planned decision, it was more out of convenience that I moved in with him but I was not in the position to split expenses and although he never asked, I was so desperate to be able to help. Although the house is still the same, it wasn’t until I started to share rent and bills and groceries that I have started to feel at HOME. I kept on feeling like a guest, and as such, although there were forniture I wanted to change or move it didn’t feel right because it wasn’t MY place! Now what if her boyf really wants a piece of forniture but the house isn’t his to furnish? Will he ask for it and be upset if she disagrees or will he let it go realising it isn’t his place to decide but deep down keep on wishing on having that piece of forniture?

Different relationship, different people. I do not know Selena at all but as she mentioned, he has a job, they'll share the expenses, and she also said this will also be his home, she's just the owner of it. I'm glad you are able to feel at home at last, it is very important, I personally moved into my ex's place and never felt at home because it always felt like "his place first, my place last". Congratulations on your home! Avoid Samsung appliances. Speaking from experience. My TV, fridge, washer/dryer are only about 5 years old and all are giving me issues in one way or another. My Whirlpool appliances (microwave, stove, and dishwasher) that came with the house have been great and reliable so far.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve always had a Samsung tv, granted it was an old one, and 10 years later it still works! But now I think I man try an LG, we’ll see how it goes. 😭
Samsung is the worse. Speaking from experience! I’ve had an entire kitchen suite of Samsung and I had to replace all of them because it stopped working within 3 years of purchase.
Unfortunate, because Samsung appliances are usually the nicest looking and seem like a good price point for what you get but then they turn out to be poo-poo. 🥹
May I humbly suggest adding those little packets of nori to your Uwajimaya haul to eat with your rice and kimchi? It’s so fun to make little packages of rice and kimchi wrapped up in the nori. I just bought a place too and went to ikea. Their stuff has gone downhill! Their closets and couch are absolute crap. We ended up going to room &board (outlet too)and their stuff was either the same price or a little more but the quality was night and day!! Don’t buy ikea, spend a little more and get quality that lasts a longggg time!
I am happy for you. Some thing that I noticed about furniture, especially couches and decorative pillows, you want to make sure you buy some that have a removable sleeve that way it s easier to wash and clean.

It’s super easy. They have select dealerships and it qualifies in the last year models (but all new cars). It saves a good 1000/2000 dollars. It’s also easier cause they have specialized sales people to help

Those Breville espresso machines go on sale at crate and barrel and Williams Sonoma very often. Normal price was $800 and I bought mine for $600 after saving up until it went on sale. I looooove coffee and making espresso so it’s perfect for me. 🤭 I recommend for sure. It’s so easy to use and take care of.
