Two things not mentioned. When you remove the lock cylinder there is a spring that you should look for. Also a small piece of metal that resides in a slot on the lock cylinder. Lose these and you are knackered! Also aligning the barrel and actuator is NOT as simple as it appears here. It takes a bit of fiddling around to align.
Also, thread a pliable wire through the upper arm of the thermostat and feed it through the fill tube and keep tension on it to keep the thermostat in place while you're putting the bolts back in. I was having difficulty keeping it seated until I did that. It also beats having to disassemble the upper intake manifold just to get to the thermostat.
Do you think this will fix the problem I have with my 2007 PT lights blinking after the car is turned off? I already replaced the multifunction switch and here I am looking for answers.
I think y'all think this is detailed and informative but it's incomplete. Year of car, why the replacement, symptoms that lead to this replacement, did a warning light appear, possible conerns to look out for prior/during/after installation.

Also that spring goes to space if you touch it wrong, 3 trips to autozone already because of that damn spring
