Being serious, it doesn't seem to be any special in terms of sounds. You can get a lot more from a good old P-bass, but it has its unique aura you can't deny. I tried it once, as a teenager. Felt awful to play and the sound was mediocre. But then again, I was a teenager with two years tops since I started playing. Of course some of the artists in this video "are bloody pros" and can get a good tone out of anything.
