Fantastic stuff. I'm very familiar with the Black Powder rules you use but have never given Warlotd's ship conbat rules a try. I may just have been inspired to do so....poor wallet...😂
If I were the government commander, the only viable plan would be to separate the Scots from the Franco- Irish. At this point i wouldnt weaken the RN in the channel to transport troops to Berwick. Naval superiority over the French in the channel is an absolute necessity. I'd order the regiments of Dragoons and Militia Horse(if any remain) in London north to join with Devonshire and the Blues at York with orders to move on Berwick as quickly as possible.. The two units of militia at St Albans and Tonbridge are neither use nor ornament in the grand scheme of things. I'd pull them in to London to replace the Dragoons. There is a regiment of Northumberland Jacobites at Newcastle but i imagine they would remain behind the walls rather than face three full regiments in the field. Tullibardine woukd then be forced to either withdraw his forces into his strongholds or to give battle with a numerical disadvantage. If Tullibardine was defeated or bottled up in the castles of Edinburgh and Stirling there would be an almighty clamour from the Scots to return home.
Hi Paul, thanks for your thoughts. Events have moved on and we'll have a video update out this time next week to catch us all up. You'll see to what extent the Government's thinking has matched your own...
@@Prestonpans1745it will be interesting to see if they are going to come out of London in a bid to save Portsmouth or whether they have something else in mind.
What a wonderful turn for the campaign. I love a bit of naval action.
I was wondering when naval stuff would come into play. Once again the navy is the shield of the kingdom.
Excellent - another great episode!
Fantastic! yet another interesting and important aspect of this campaign, love it!! Thanks to Aaron and all those involved 👍
Very entertaining run of play. Nice campaign this.
I was feeling quite tense as the battle took place! Quite a scrap
good to see this still going.

Brilliant stuff!!
Welcome back!

Fireships? Sounds positively Elizabethan rather than Georgian :-)
Only accidental ones in this case!
