Either this writer was a real soldier or did some serious research. Eight years airborne soldier here, 2 thumbs up! My class, too, missed out on Ungawa! Great story, perfectly told!
Ah! A spin off. Easter egg for The Soldier, which is an amazing story. Shadowswimmer77 is one of my favourite CP writers. If anyone has not yet listened to or read The Soldier, I highly recommend it. This one reminds me of The Mist by King though.
Military is one of those horror settings that's prime for mystery, given how much OpSec there is as standard, so it's expected there will be no wrap-up in a neat little bow
Big thanks to Skott for adapting this story of mine. For those who have been asking for more, it’s part of my ongoing Wicker Saga, several of which are also on this channel.
Awesome story, thanks for allowing NT to read it! It's funny, when I was told what FUBAR means, they said that the R stood for recognition but now I know that repair is the correct word. 😊
I was reading the story on the Wiki Fandom page while I listened to the narration and have to say some of the comments there are way off base from what I thought. This sounds nothing like "The Mist" or "The Fog", this is an entirely new perspective on this type of story and one I have not heard before. I tried to comment over there to find where I could read the continuation of the story, if one exists or its spin off stories, I even messaged you on Facebook/Meta lol looking for the info so thank you for posting it here. Being a USMC 0321 (FORECON) & an 0372 veteran and current rescue specialist in the critical disaster/mutual aid response occupation this story really peaked my interest. Few people can comprehend the social and governmental breakdown that can and does happen with a state or national disaster as they haven't been exposed to it. It's a lot more dire than most think it is that's for sure. Great story, I'm off to see if there's more and if not to read the spin offs.
Wow... my eyes popped open so fast when I heard Columbus Ga. My home town!!! I literally can walk to the base from where I stay at !!! Super cool lol 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I really enjoy these military horror stories. Although being stuck in mausoleum with rabid/undead demon dogs on the outside and a corpse that may try and get up again on the inside, may go beyond FUBAR to be BOHICA
@NaturesTemper Would you rather have someone like and comment as soon as they start the video (to ensure better metrics), or do you prefer that people hear some or all of the story before commenting/liking?
I kinda like both especially when the tune changes if the same person comments at the beginning then decided to change their mind after hearing the whole thing 😂!
Very flash in the pan here. I like this short story where there isn't this huge amount of background, just kind of letting the scene play out naturally with minimal extensive explanation, but then it just abruptly ends. A few rifles on the mantle left unshot, but overall good environmental story telling
I wonder if the guy was just curious as to how he was going to die as well as this around him or if he didn't really care. He had many chances to check out, but never took them. He even went so far as to extend his own life at one point.
Atlanta Hospital? Nah, chief. If he nicked his femoral artery, they took him to Grady Memorial. Best place in the nation to deal with something like that.
What the hell is that shit?! Gonna tantalize us with that and leave it off with him hiding in a coffin with a dude who keeps coming back to life? You sneaky bastards...haha That's a fun story. I can't wait for another part. And I'm glad it's only a story. We don't need that kinda change in the world. I'm willing to accept a little less drastic approach.
While I understand it’s a story and 100% made up. The first 90 seconds had me going nope and bullshit. Killed the desire to keep listening. As ex army with wings. Nope.

Seen lots of Weird stuff as a Marine?
This is how you tell a story!
Military horror is definitely my favorite content from you, well done and keep it up!!!

Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying my stories.

One thing. (old man here 37) it's "fucked up beyond all recognition"

It can be either (according to google anyway).

Sounds like the fog from ‘Accounts from a Lonely Broadcast Station’ escaped, and the radio station stopped broadcasting…

Finally! Shadowswimmer77!! Wicker House!!!
Great follow up to a great story that needs more
Have you ever considered uploading to Spotify or other podcast applications?
Nice story. Love hearing my town in a story
Welcome back, Naturestemper!
Loved it especially that this is connected to the shoulder story
A sequel to The Soldier?
My Boi using "4th Survivor" as the thumbnail??? "The Death cannot die." I can tell this will be a good story.
I've always liked..""SNAFU".
Situation Normal All Fucked Up.😂
This was really good ❤!

What a warm and fuzzy story.
Very flash in the pan here.

Oh nice my oldest went to Bootcamp at Benning and middle son was stationed there after a stint in Germany when he changed his MOS to CAV Scout
Hearing 64 troopers on a one way trip, made me smile so hard.
You are amazing storyteller. This was a great Horror Story that I think the person was watching the Mist before who they wrote this. Excellent story!
More please, that story could have been a lot longer . Good work,Skott
I love that HUNK from resident evil is the background pic
We need a part 2 and a part 3
Awesome. Thank you
Kudos to my favorite narrator and a phenomenal writer!
As always, thank you❤
Edit: I think a sequel titled SNAFU would be an excellent idea😊
I loved it. Thanks

He had many chances to check out, but never took them. He even went so far as to extend his own life at one point.

Nature rocks!
THANK YOU SKOTT!! ❤ 😊
Atlanta Hospital? Nah, chief. If he nicked his femoral artery, they took him to Grady Memorial. Best place in the nation to deal with something like that.
Nice 4th survivor background
Lets give him 1000 likes in two hours guys
What the hell is that shit?! Gonna tantalize us with that and leave it off with him hiding in a coffin with a dude who keeps coming back to life? You sneaky bastards...haha
That's a fun story. I can't wait for another part.
