Walking into a fully fleshed out populated town or city a la GTA and FF7 Rebirth but in Star Wars is gonna be soooooo sick.
I was impressed by the little Tresspassing pop-up that came up in the gameplay.
It's something straight out of Hitman, and the fact that this game has you running heists, it could mean that there are missions where you have to be aware of where regular civilians/party guests are and aren't allowed.
Pretty sure they got a lot of the bones of the mechanics from Watch_Dogs. A lot of Ubisoft games are structured very similarly and honestly if it's anything like watch_dogs 2, this game is gonna fulfill that open world fantasy really nicely.
The animation of entering planet , especially by choosing a particular location on planet, reminds me of Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga.
I thought the space combat was reminiscent of Lego Skywalker Saga also!
My dream SW game would look like this, but let you make up your own character of many species options, and have a bunch of missions/storylines you can get involved in, but no main storyline. Oh and, not MMO, but up to five or so friends can log in and play in the same world.
I like what I see so far. It gives off Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption vibes. Its nice they confirmed that the wanted and bounty system is going to be like that.
It looks so cool it's wild that there is this and that Indian Jones game coming out so close together what a time!
Skillup got to play some of the game and said that the unlocking minigame was a rhythm game
I love having no or low expectations. Not because I don’t love it or trust it but it’s new and I just wanna be happy with it. I’ve watched a number of videos today and I think the commentary has been very solid. The videos look great.I absolutely love love love Jedi fallen order just like all of us, but it definitely felt devoid of people. Think this is going to be what really makes it feel alive.
I’m so ready to play this.
truly looking forword to play this game
Im so incredibly excited
They should have given her a Loth cat instead of that critter. While its cute, I love me some Loth cats!
Omg, I just want to walk around and look at everything. I can’t stand how cool this looks.
I loved watching your breakdown! SO many little things I missed and I'm so excited for this game!!
I am so freaking excited for this! I loved Frontiers of Pandora and can’t wait to play this!
Ubisoft has been so scummy lately that I do not want to support this, but it does look like a lot of fun 😅 may just fold for that early access smh
I know what you mean about finding "open-world" games overwhelming, and then I go find every Korok. 😂
Recently I played Tunic, it's a great game for those fans of the Zelda series
I haven’t been looking forward to this game that much up to now, I thought it sounded abit underwhelming, but now I’m really excited to play it! The gameplay looks a lot better than I thought and from the reviews it sounds like a much better game than I was expecting
The crouching and sneaking reminds me of Splinter Cell.
I think the game is looking like it'll be a fun time so far! As for the open world aspect, my initial thoughts are that it will be the same level of open world as LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga
Skill Up said that the parts of the game that he played were vertical slices to show what the game is going to be like, NOT early missions in the game like Alex is assuming. The music note in the HUD isn't going to be for music like Alex is also assuming, it's going to be for distracting enemies or getting their attention like in the Assassin's Creed games.
Its a Star Wars game, so I was going to give it a shot regardless. That said, I think this looks genuinely promising. I love open world games, but Uncharted is my favorite game series, so I like the look of the 3rd person duck & cover shooting. I'm now actively looking forward to this game now, and I hope the early hands on reactions validate that excitement. Still not going to pre-order it though, not an Ubisoft game.
Looks very overwhelming to me, but I will give it a go.
This is looking like it's well worth the price of admission, which no one wants to hear given the high price, but this is doing it for me.
Red Dead 2 in space? I’m in.
Like you, I really love any pilot stories in SW. Do you think you could make a reading list of your favorites/recommendations?
I don’t care if it’s boilerplate Ubisoft open world bs, as long as that gets me some fleshed out Star Wars environments to explore I’m in
I don't look forward to this game as much as Survivor, but I look forward to this. This and Dragon Age The Veilguard (ex Dreadwolf). Certainly looks promising, but Ubisoft can be a pain sometimes.
My guess for the music note is some kind of whistle from Nix to distract enemies
This game is looking great!
Looking good so far. But what I really want to see right now are the in betweens: the navigation, the city and town areas, the amount of content there is to find outside the main and side missions - IE, the stuff that we're going to be spending most of our time actually doing, just going from Point A to Point B and possibly detouring through Point C. Making that part of the game interesting is the real meat of a game like this, since it's most of the player's actual gameplay time, but it basically never comes up in these gameplay releases and trailers.
The formula isn’t anything drastically new but that’s not a fair ask of any game really…and Ubisoft is not known for changing paradigms. 99% of things that can be done have already been done at some point.
You know what, though? If they nail the story and the gameplay is just okay, I’ll be happy. If they nail the gameplay but the story is mediocre, I’ll still be happy. After all, I didn’t love Jedi Survivor’s story but I still play it all the time because the mechanics are so satisfying. If they have a good story and good mechanics, well, that’s my social life done with.
Wait where was this gameplay shown off? I only saw the 10 minute walk through from the top of the show
I don't have any of the next gen systems, so I'll just stick with playing the board game SW Outer Rim 😄
Damn I didnt even see these missions, the mission on Ubisoft Forward was on Tattooine?! 😅
yeah
Impressive
Does Alex like red dead redemption 2? I know you said you're not a fan of most open world games but I feel like red dead is pretty star wars coded with the games themes
Where can I get that droid shirt?! 😃
I would like to take this opportunity to vote for Cal Kestis from the video games (and Dr. Aphra from the comics) to appear in a Star Wars movie or streaming series. 😀 ❤
Looks like fun but theres a few superficial things that I'm not a fan of. (HUD and Kay's outfit which I'm sure is somewhat customisable) also not too sure about the shooting yet but that's only something I can judge by playing myself.
Star Wars outlaws looks good and we know that lando is going to be in it takes place shortly before return of the Jedi and after marvels star wars 2020
It could be a whistle for enemies to attract them.
Ok what’s this game aspect ratio? Because I just saw a full gameplay trailer in cinematic scope with game hud looking as if it was designed to fit that look and rn this is regular 16:9 footage 😬
Star Wars Explained, wanna collab keep it up
I hate how excited I am about this. I know not to preorder because it doesn't do anything but reward companies for bad practices, but man I want every scrap of this game so bad.
I really hope it plays better than Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora on PC. It takes an age to render the environment and story points.
I do hope this game works for me, given how long we’ve been begging for Red Dead/GTA in Star Wars. But I have to remain cautiously optimistic with Ubisoft as the developer. Ubisoft open worlds never scratched that itch for me personally.
Has the relic been revealed? If not, $5 on it being a holocron
I saw different gameplay this morning. Where was this gameplay?
I feel like it's tradition for wide open open world games to have obtuse lockpicking minigames. I love Kingdom Come Deliverance, but it's lockpicking is practically unplayable.
As someone who sucks at both dog fighting and stealth I have a bad feeling this is going to be a game I'm going to have a very hard time with
I hope I like this. I didn't care for the combat style in Fallen Order, and unfortunately, it made it unplayable for me. I'll certainly give this a go, though!
Everyone asking for Kay to use the force/a lightsaber and be a Jedi would also when the game came out be complaining that nothing was different with this game than another game and that it was very cliche that she turned out to be a Jedi. It’s ridiculous and basic of you. Grow up.
cool we have a pokemon
Thanks for comparing the hacking to mastermind. I know what that is and that's what popped in my head watching other videos. I had it as a kid. Everyone else cites wordle and I haven't played that lol.
this game looks great! my only worry is that it's gonna be a expansion pack after expansion pack mess. i miss the days where you got a full game on release.
I mean expansion packs aren't a new concept. A good number of older games had them. Command and Conquer, WoW, StarCraft, Empire at War, The Old Republic, X-Wing, and I think even Galaxies.
👍
So far on the surface, it looks like a very promising game that hopes to give you enough to keep coming back, even if I personally still think that it has a bit of a generic flare to it. I’m still excited cause I’m a gamer and I love Star Wars. Also is that the first time an arcade game has ever been inside Star Wars?
Watching your character mow down stormtroopers like it's nothing just reminded me of how much effort Andor put in to make the Empire believable and threatening.
I would say that's just a natural result of it being a videogame. Every game (unless it's a Souls-like) needs a common grunt enemy that you can mow through without it posing much of a threat.
That's why most franchises that were videogames first, like Halo, have lore explaining why these common enemies exist and why they're so easy to kill.
@@mitwhitgaming7722 Umm, please don't invalidate my snippy remark with a logical argument, mmmkay? Thanks, sweatie.
Looked like a generic Ubisoft game, but I've unfortunately got to get it for story.
I'm not expecting much from Ubisoft as all their games are pretty mid to 7/10s but I will probably buy this one on sale down the line
Looks lame.
Why couldn’t Starfield be more like this…
Thought this was a phone game it looked so bad. I'm beyond raging they gave us some more random trash nobody asked for, instead of KotOR 3 millions of people have been begging for for almost 20yrs, or Force Unleashed 3.
It seems like I am the only one that is not too impressed.
Ubisoft makes the demands, we oblige. Please allow us to give you more of our money without questioning the quality of the product, benevolent hedge fund game studio overlords
*All I want to know is can we change from her awful hairstyle in customization?*
