CB IS THE NUMBER 1 SAFETY TOOL Rand McNally gps is literally from the guys that wrote the map if you hit something using there gps you shouldn't be driving
Water. I always keep 5-6 gallons under me. I screwed up on i80 west to Laramie, WY in December 2022. Blizzard hit, I had an empty trailer , was in Cheyenne to grab water and fuel and my card declined so I said screw it I’ll grab fuel:water Laramie about 40 miles. Was watching 511 WY app at winds closures etc…said 30-35mph gust which is almost max for an empty trailer . Checked weather app same forecast. Ran it. About 15 miles into it the weather drastically changed winds jumped up to 50mph sustained, 55-65 mph gusts so I pulled off to the off ramp and pointed towards the wind. About 5 minutes later the i80 sign open/closed went to red and the 511 app said closed as well. I sat for about 35 hours and it remained closed and the winds never dropped below 55mph gusts. And it was miserable with no water. Very dry conditions, very thirsty. Coffee maker with no water sucked.
Thank you.
Great advice! Thanks!
Great advise for rookies brother
