Don't know you in the States, but here in south Italy is still so, expecially in relations and family the vast majorities have a commune sense of no deliverance, and they continue to living togheter until the end, destroying they're own life's, without choosing divorce or others.
The most ridiculous thing about this world is that people ask you "What do you do for living?/What does your parents or partner do for living?" as the first introductory question when meeting up. I am always thinking why does it matter? People really want to define each other by the job titles? It is so ridiculous.
Part of the competition in life even though it does not matter. People just like to feel superior if they happen to have a "better job" than someone else.
I really really dislike this question "what is your occupation?". For me it does not matter. I want to get to know a person for who he /she is. I really don't care about people's job titles, but this sick society (and majority of people in it) does.
I was once asked in a job interview: "What do your parents do?" What????? I'm not going to send any of my parents. I should have said that, but I was young and wanted to be polite. I didn't get the job and I was happy for that. I have my own business now and can't be happier.
It's insanity how we are programmed to be slaves and work all these shitty jobs till we are old and sick... People don't get enough for all the time spent in work. This is the unfortunate truth for most.
The worst job on the planet is being a teacher. Even in college. Trust me. Administration, forms, more paperwork, spoiled people and their rich entitled parents... I swear I used to get *threats from students' parents* ! I woke up one day - after giving a 'C' to a student (they deserved an F in whole honesty) - to a text message that read something along the lines of "Just to let you know: you need to be careful, you have no idea who you're dealing with!" 😳
Best jobs are those you don't have to be around people. that's why i got my CDL. If i had the skillset i would get a remote job. Some of the easiest jobs I've had were made difficult and literally stressful when they shouldn't have been because of PEOPLE/ CO WORKERS.
The worst job I ever had (and I've had many) is taxi driver in SF. Incredibly corrupt , the rudest people you can imagine. would rather shovel cow patties all day. I don't think I lasted even 2 months.
Retail pharmacy 🙃 After you find out about big pharma. The stores in districts literally compete on who administers the most vaccines. Pharmacist or stores who don't happen to get any vaccines one day get shamed on group emails. The pharmacy staff is overwhelmed due to staff shortages due to corporate greed. The greed is so bad management will get mad at you for selling patients a medicine they NEED at an affordable price with a coupon they brought in. It's super sad when it's for children & seniors 😢
Can relate.Worked in Pharmacy for 20 years til 2020 then I saw it for what it was-glorified greedy drugpushing.NEVER AGAIN! Needless to say , I've struggled with stable income and employment since for being a refuzniak however I will say I did enjoy my years working in that industry however I will never ever go back despite requests to return etc ..most of the staff are no longer with us...hint hint..💉💉💉✝️✝️✝️
I’m in America, the worst job I had was working at Walmart. I worked at 3 different stores and they were all the same. Their management really treats employees like shit.
Being a dishwasher is one of the worst jobs one can do. It's very repetitive and you are on your feet for an 8/9 hour shift. You are constantly organizing just so you can start to clean because where I work the is no other dishwasher there. Well there is another dishwasher there but she is "slow" so I have to do everything when I arrived there from organizing the dishpit and taking out the trash. Being a dishwasher is the most thankless jobs out there. There is for the most part no respect for what I do. I have at this job for 7 years and I have been not ONE raise in this time. I have made my mind that this is last rodeo at being a dishwasher!!!!
I bet it is very repetitive. I don't even like to wash my own damn dishes lol. I hope you get out of it and find something better, less repetitive and that pays more.
i agree with you, ive done most of the low level jobs and dishwasher was the worst by far...becasue there is so much pressure also my hands got ruined by all the chemicals also you are inhaling all that steam from the dishwasher

I've tried both ways in my past, and still today I'm speechless in noting about how I've profoundly hated those works when I've do it, and how they were happy in their state. For me the better works are the one with lesser peoples around, if not being completely quiet and alone, not for being misanthropic but you could always have your time for few, but real and honest 2 or 3 relations, outside working. I appreciate a lot you honesty in your clips. I'm completely outside from social relations after the pandemy, but I agree with all you say there, tendentially.

When I was growing up in Brazil, it was the social implication.....the garbage man.... but now that I live in Michigan... the cold! And I'm not even in Canada!

Ya I know working in that area is tough but hang in there and don't give up. Maybe you can switch to doing something like working for yourself or in another area you would prefer rather than seeing all the suffering.
It's not for everyone, definitely. 1 guy I knew did part-time at my job and part-time at looking after older people. He ended up quitting my job to go back to looking after older people. Must be something he really loved about it but it would be crazy for me to do. Kudos to you and those people doing that job.

Working with kids is not for everybody. I have some friends (who like you) enjoy working with kids and find such a job rewarding. Good for them. But it is not for everybody. You need to be a 'kids person' and have a certain personality for that. Me, I am definitely not a kids person and I hated working with kids (too much overstimulation and noise for me). And plus, I don't enjoy being with kids, I prefer older, mature and wise people. But that is me. Everybody has different needs and preferences.
