He did well with his interpretation of 'Bubur Cha Cha'. It's one of the traditional desserts in Peranakan cuisine. I missed this dessert made by my great aunts. Thumbs up from a Malaysian.
Hi! I can smell the pandan leaves already! There is also a similar dessert from the northern part of the Philippines. We call it tambo-tambo. My grandma used to cook it for us. Brings me back to my childhood. Thank you very much.
in southern Philippines we call it binignit or tabirak. Go-to snacks in the afternoon. And traditionally the only meal during Holy Week.
A desert that Malaysian would proudly stand behind,
waiting, cause the queue at tong sui kai very long.
Lo Cabal one of my favourite deserts ever! My mom use to make this.
I love this comment xd
agreee !
Lo Cabal brace yourself, overproud malaysians are coming!
Where's "tong su kai" ?
*Read title* : bubur chacha
Wait isn't this a Japanese cooking channel?
Wahh proud Malaysia here~~
This is almost like kolak in Indonesia. Is it good with mango?
2:13 "bring the beet in"
"AnYtHiNg FoR yOu BeYoNcE"
Nope I LAUGHED WAY TOO HARD AT THIS
Lol
Old but gold
CUE THE INTRO!
DADADARAAA DADADARAA DADADA
Lol
I always cook it when I'm going back to my village. There's a lot of version to this recipe. It's up to your preference, no need to argue as long your stomach happy
very true
Oh my God! It's my favorite childhood dessert :) Love from South East Asia!
I am surprised Japanese knows how to make bubur cha cha. Awesome!
This Malaysian desert is incredibly popular amongst Filipinos, very delicious.
This is the most relaxing channel of worldwide UA-cam
When he cuts the mango:
South east asian: there's a better way to do it.
I really should look up how to cut up a mango. I always just mangle the crap out of mine lol
But he did correctly
I really love when you put ' south east Asian ' instead of any specific country. It could turn into a argument .
@@insyiraahshah7094 he/she is right though
@@ruqaiyah1412 It's faster to cut into the half in your hand like a hashtag or a checkerboard without cutting through the skin (both the mango and yours, haha), then use a spoon to scoop out the pieces (or just turn it inside out and eat it from the skin if you aren't going to get the pieces out). Source: I'm Caribbean. The way he did it is good too, though, it looks neater and less messy, haha.
It's amazing how i can smell pandan just from watching it.
I have no idea how this Japanese can make Buber chacha while I’m here spending my day watching UA-cam
Ikr, and as a Malaysian, I don't even know how to cook that 🙃
@@nicoong8944
I didn't even know its name before this. 😅😢😭
Right now, in this season, all ingredients are available except mango and we are having them.... But this is something new. I'll definitely try this version of sago pearl pudding. Love from India🇮🇳
This is somehow similar to our sago kheer right..in our home we usw to make sago kheer.
So much memories.. My mom always make this dessert when i was a kid.. So much love was put in into one dish ❤❤

Thank god, finally a recipe that I can make easily without ordering online
He always has cool gadgets and tools, greetings from Holland
Technically, it is an Asian dessert with variations across countries of South East Asia. In Philippines, we have a similar dessert called Ginataang Bilo Bilo. Japan has a similar dish where they use shiratama balls instead. In Thai, there is one as well with highlights on their sweet mango.
Asians are cool with their desserts. :)
yes!!! i was very confused by the thumbnail and title, I was like "that is ginataang what"
Yess! In Malaysia is bubur cha cha
Me at 2:13: How dare he add beetroot to bubur cha cha!
Me at 4:00: OMG Ryoya-san you're a genius!
Hahaha
Beetroot for natural colouring.

Hello!
I am a Colombian-Mexican woman scrolling through UA-cam for challenges I love watching and often times come upon your videos. I have absolutely no idea what this is but I appreciate how much effort and craft is put in to making it and knowing about all of the different ingredients you often times use in your videos that we have probably never heard of. This looks delicious!!
We have this kind of dessert in Indonesia called "kolak" or "biji salak". It looks delicious as always😊
Kolak and bubur pacar
Yes! I also know this as kolak. My grandparents are from Indonesia and migrated to Suriname, South America. I know this dish from my grandma and aunts. Super delicious! Btw I just bought my pandan plant to make these dishes.

I'm seeing comments by people from my country, Philippines, calling it different names, "tambo-tambo", "ginataan" etc... I'm just amazed coz i know the snack as "bilo-bilo" ❤
Wow, my fav dessert! Hello from Malaysia Penang.
...even the can of coconut milk is beautiful! Thank you for blessing me with this calm video, even if I have no relation to the dish whatsoever. :)

omg Ryoya, this is soooo beautiful! i love all different kinds of angles you put in this video. and beetroot instead of artificial coloring, that was brilliant! thank you, Ryoya. keep up the good work! xo
that is the best sound of a banana being cut, ever.
Love listening to the sounds. So relaxing and peaceful. Wishing you an amazing weekend.
omg I was so shocked to see this! thank you for showing this beautiful Malaysian recipe!!
Homely Malaysia dessert... glad u share the recipe with ur viewers
Ryoya chan, this is very similar to our Philippine dish called ginataang halo-halo where we use fresh coconut milk, sweetened and with sago, Saba banana, sweet potatoes, purple yam, sweetened jackfruit, and bilo-bilo (rice flour balls) and eat this usually as afternoon snack. Yumms
i love the little bloopers at the end!!
12:51 Never knew its satisfying to watch someone cuts bananas until now
I've never seen someone cuts mango like that and not gonna lie that's really satisfying
thanks for the video. just bring my memories to my mom who love to cook this bubur too.
just a tips, in any dishes that using coconut milk, we used to add a pinch of salt so that the taste of coconut milk will be flavoury and its soo good. have a good day!
Love from Malaysia ❤️
i live in malaysia. i love so much to eat this during my childhood days
Indonesia and largely Southeast Asia have hundreds of Bubur recipes lol This is one of my faves ❤️
In Vietnam we also have dishes like this too, we call them “chè”, which are street food sweet deserts with such ingredients like tropical fruits, chewy starch balls and coconut milk.
Imagine these chewy, rich, creamy and delicious fruity flavors harmonizing in your mouth to cool you off for great pricing (less than a dollar where I live in HCM city). Oh yiss, would never trade anything to not be an Asian 💃🏻🕺🥣
* great video as always, Ryoya-san* 👍👍👍
Lol, yet again the bloopers. 😂😂 Btw, thanks for recreating one of our best Malaysian desert. ☺️

Whenever I see Bubur Cha Cha, be it at street food kind or made by our families, it feels home to me, and now it makes me homesick after watching this. Maybe someday I would try to make this for my own. Thanks for reliving my childhood memories again here. Love it😍!
