    Does this bracket length work with a 15 inch overhang?

    What do you recommend for a situation where there is a sink in the middle of the island, such that you can't put braces across that section of cabinet? Thanks!

    would a hidden L bracket be better on the back side, so that all of the pressure isn't just lifting up on the front of the cabinets? I know the cabinets ned to be secured to the floor, but I'd rather have my pressure going down than up.

    Would this work on frameless cabinets as well? How tall is the screw flange, I wonder if it would catch on a 3/4” stretcher for frameless cabinets.

      Yes. People use it that way all the time, but you might have to do some small adaptations to the brace and to the cabinet structure.

    Do you pre-drill the screw holes or just go to town with the impact driver, fingers crossed?

    • @FastCapLLC
      @FastCapLLC  Рік тому

      @victorvek5227 It is your preference when you go to install the Stealth SpeedBrace if you need to pre-drill the screw holes before installation. If you are using our FastCap PowerHead Screws, they are self-tapping, so you don't have to worry about pre-drilling. If you use a different screw type, we recommend pre-drilling before installing the Stealth SpeedBrace.

    So this should be enough support for granite without building a pony wall?

      Unfortunately, custom sizes or longer sizes are not available at this time. We only have this product in 36” length. This is a new product for us so other sizes may be available in the future, but due to high shipping costs based on the size and weight for these larger braces, a larger size may not be feasible.

    How were the cabinets secured to the flooring ?

    • @krishaley5502
      @krishaley5502 2 роки тому

      Usually you have 2x4's run along and screwed to the floor. Then you screw your cabinets to those.

      I'm sure the toe-kick is screwed down to the floor and the counter sits on the toe-kick and is screwed down to it.

    Hi! Ehat the Length and Width of that countertop? Thank you!

      @Milton Martinez We don’t know the dimensions of the slab since this was done at a job site outside of FastCap but we always recommend the following:
      1 - Don’t have your countertop extend more than 6’’ past the end of your installed brace.. we typically say to shoot for 3-4’’ to have the best security/stability but our worksheet states that you can go up to 6’’
      2 - Do not overhang more than 2/3 of the brace over the end of the cabinet. At least 1/3 of the brace should be set back into the cabinet. (These are instructions for our standard braces that don’t have the mounting flange that the 36 Island Brace has.) When installing the Island Brace you wouldn’t run into this problem because you’ll typically be setting it fairly fair back into the cabinet.
      On our SpeedBrace page, we have more information for installing our SpeedBraces under the Tech Spec tab: www.fastcap.com/product/stealth-speedbrace

    Cool but how do you secure the countertop so it doesn’t move around? Don’t tell me it just sits there with a bit of silicone!?

    • @FastCapLLC
      @FastCapLLC  5 місяців тому

      @A2ZGeek It all depends on the type of countertop you are installing. If it’s Quartz or Granite it does just sit on the brace but you can glue it to the brace if you want. If you are installing Formica you can screw the brace the plywood under the Formica.
