Excelent to listen to you Guidon. I'm always finding my self in mor caotic development of scenes and usually get to ask "could you please stop there, wait for me til I reposition", etc... But its good to think of it as a system. I'll start trying it. I did wanted to ask you, how is your approach to something I keep coming accros but always do it out of my guts with ou thinking to much.
When shooting and interview of testimony, after you consider or are told the main subjects are covered, and you com in for some details of the hangs or eyes, But suddenly the person says something you think is good for the content... how to proceed. I keep finding my self there, and feeling not great for not being able to cover those sentences in a "better angle".
Any way, thanks for your material and decision to share what you do and how you doit. If you happen to come to shoot in Argentina, would be very happy to second you or go out for a beer.

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I just wanted to mention that I don't usually use these types of shots after an interview. What I tend to do is intercut the interview with other scenes. However, I do encounter similar situations when shooting a scene where the protagonist shares something significant. Whether you choose to reposition the protagonist or continue filming as is depends on the individual. If you are confident they can deliver the same energy again, you should redo the scene. However, if you anticipate difficulty in achieving the desired performance, it is best to continue filming as planned. Remember, the story takes precedence over the visuals.
For me, it's all about the person in front of the camera and how they're feeling. If I can capture authentic footage, even with my intervention, I'll do so. Otherwise, I'll let it play out.
If you're in Argentina, I'd be happy to share a beer with you!
