It's a modified '71 Flying V Medallion that he bought in 1974 whilst touring with Sharks in Memphis. He originally had it modified to have one humbucking pickup, but did swap over to a P90 by about 1981 or certainly 1982. The guitar was stolen from Chris in NYC sometime in late 1986.
Chris Spedding nailed it. And Gordon is an American treasure. Well done lads. RIP Robert Gordon.
