I got to see Robert Gordon with Chris Spedding on the Rockabilly Boogie tour opening for Joe Jackson on his first American tour.Rainbow Music Hall,Denver Colo. Chris and Robert were incredible.
WOW, Chris is one of the great rock and roll guitarist! In fact he is on my top 20 great guitarist which include Cliff Gallup, Brian Setzer, Carlos Santana, Brian May, django reinhardt etc. Brilliant sound, great style! he is one of the best! I would love to see Robert with Chris LIVE in the UK ! Thanks for posting :)
Chris Spedding always the coolest, tightest gee-tar layer. Laissez-faire from these riffs & vocals that make sure you never ever forget their great late seventies records by Richard Gottherer (always spell your name wrong … Dick) on Sire. Thanks also go out to Seymour Stein. Rock 'n' Roll.
Robert Gordon has put on a few pounds but he is still born to rock and roll. He certainly knows how to attract great guitarists. Danny Gatton, Link Wray and now Chris Spedding.
Spedding sounds soooo much better in these clips than he did when he played in Foxboro, MA with Robert, Slim Jim and Glen Matlock. This Gretsch with P-90's sounds amazing compared to the Eastwood airline guitar he used up here a couple of years ago.
Wow! Thanks for posting. They hadn't lost a step.
Unreal....Chris Spedding sounding JUST like he did back in the 70's; if not; better....
Proud to be in attendance at this one!
