Epic record from an epic band. I got to open for these guys in Auckland, NZ many years ago when they were touring this album. Back then we didn't get many US bands coining through (I guess we still don't, but it meant a lot to us that they took the time to do it). For those of us who caught the show, they're very well thought of to this day not just for being A totally fucking amazing live band, but for coming down here when almost nobody gave a damn to do so. Heroic af/10.
@@theyapper1337 yeah not too many of the classics made it down here, that's why I still think so highly of these guys. A few of the ThreeOneG bands came through in the years following, but I guess that's more an adjacent scene than entirely the same thing
@@theyapper1337 Building Records out of Adelaide used to bring a lot of the east coast screamo bands to us Antipodeans around that time. I remember that tour.
I was reading about the physical concept of the thermal death of the universe, and so I thought it would be a cool name for a band, so I searched and found you. It's not the band name, just the album, but it's good enough.
Dear fellow thermal death ponderer, you can find a few tidbits in Ibn Khaldun's (d. 15th C) book on Sufism (not to be confused with the Muqaddimah his book on Sufism). You know they believed that in the beginning all there was was fog? I think that big bangs surplant the old bangs. ANd that new universes unfold in greymatter (matter which lost its colour). PEACE
I saw them in the basement show in Boston somewhere once the lead singer was in school to be a doctor. Punch punch is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
the quote is close but wrong. You look like a man followed by laughter of knowing she isn't. Like I'd ever waste a wish oh wait that's her talking whoops.

Hot Cross, Saetia and Off Minor are my favorite trio. Screamo Gang and Skramz Gang 2020.
Hot Cross is not very good becouse Jamie Behar dont plays in it

Y'all should check out the jazz june
skramz is a dumb word. just call it screamo and reclaim it from the mallcore idiots.

We had screamo bands play in NZ? That's a bit nuts.

The instrumental talent here, especially this drummer, is fucking insane.

Saw them in a basement in Seattle right after this album came out. They were super LOUD and a really tight, talented band.

What happened to this band?
Currently in Lytic.
They ended up hating each other and split, I think each member is still making music with various projects
Brothers Kevin and Steve Roche play in Bore War. Jamie is in Lytic. Other bands they have been in - Ampere, Ordinary Lives, and Yo Man, Go!
@@adanvargas2339 Wait, who was in Ampere???
@@adanvargas2339I don’t think any members of Saetia played in Ampere fam. Unless it was very briefly for a small number of shows.
Is this considered math rock
Interesting right? These math-y screamo bands where always my favorite.
@@tremolo664 Can you recommend me bands with that sound?
@@greerugerCapsule, To the north, Ampere, Hot Cross, Killie, 3cm Tour, Sinaloa.
