People are so surprised by big cats in the states. But they are everywhere, here. You'll never see one in person unless it wants you to. And when you do, you're most likely going to have a bad day. But, they are absolutely beautiful animals. Thank you for these videos! I stumbled across them an hour ago, and can't stop watching. Great stuff!
The pictures are very clear ,makes home sick for Florida ! A beautiful state ! My family and I back in the 60s and70s used to pick citrus 🍊 in winter there ! Met some very nice people there both Black and Mexican as well as white! 👍💕🦋🌈👵🏻😺
Thanks Tim. Love watching your videos. So refreshing to see videos of these beautiful animals doing their thing in their natural habitat with just the sounds of their environment and nobody narrating or commenting like on nature programs :) Your videos are a true gift :)
Great camera quality, great work, great video. Never knew we had little bears here. And I've been in Florida swamps playing and sometimes living since I was a kid about 40 years ago. Great vid thanks again
That is real neat! This is the first time I have ever seen a trail camera in use and now I will have to buy one and put it out in the woods near Lake Placid, NY and see what it sees! Thanks for posting it!
This is some great video quality. Nice captures for sure!... I'm pleasantly surprised nobody seen and stole your trail cam's. I'm sure if they spotted them, some knucklehead would take off with them. Thank goodness they didn't!
I always thought that deer slept at night.....learn something new every day. thankyou for the time you take to put these cameras out, retrieve and show us city folk. appreciated
Florida Panthers are gorgeous I live around Cape Haze Florida, and there's a little damn with a long Seawall that has a canopy of mangroves. When I was a kid me and my buddy were crabbing at the dam and as I turned this cat (biggest one I've ever seen in my life) was walking at me like so confident you could see the shoulder blades. I was scared of death she was looking at me paused and then turn around like nothing in the world could bother her.. walk the dog 30 yards and jumped into the swamp side. Haven't seen one and over 13 years all we have is Bobcats and coyotes now.. nice catch.
Your water hole is a Gator hole... Great videos, quality is amazing. The bear sniffing your camera just shows how good their sense of smell is, he knew it had some kind of scent on it and was trying to figure it out. Great site Tim
This video shows u how good a bears sense of smell is... Even after that camera has been set up for a few days the bear was still able to sniff the foreign smell out and investigate
One of the things that I admire the most about Americans is their friendliness and respect for the environment... Unlike here in Cuba ,animal poaching and trafficking are extremely rare...we are running out of caguamas ,manatees and endemic birds to those malignant practices... We Cubans have a lot to learn from American citizens and law enforcement authorities... Greetings from Havana Cuba.
Thanks Mariano. Sorry to hear that stuff goes on down there. I've always thought Cuba would be a great spot to see wildlife. I know you supposedly have ghost orchids down there.
@@ShrikeZone l am not a savvy specialist like you, but yes, there are orchids and even a special sanctuary where they are protected, it's called Soroa, check it out and don't hesitate to have a trip down here when you can, don't take too long otherwise there won't be any wildlife left to enjoy.. All the best my friend!!
Man, I know what it's like to soak cameras for several weeks, just to find few or even no pics. This past week I picked up two trail cams in the Cascade Mountains of WA state. Combined total of over 11,000 photos of elk, mule deer and one coyote. In only two weeks. It's a three year old burn area and the groceries are thick. Lots of babies and great antler growth. But I've never gotten more than 4K photos in one pickup. Looking like a good area to spend time this fall. I really dig your FL cam pics - gators, cats, deer... Cheers!
Maybe the jaguars have different traits depending on the region they reside in? Like southern tropical jaguars could be slender while northern winter climate jaguars could be a little thicker in muscle and fur. Nature is just so fascinating.
@@_mooshmallow_ from the US Fish and Wildlife Service: The Florida panther is a subspecies of Puma concolor (also known as mountain lion, cougar, or puma) and represents the only known breeding population of puma in the eastern United States.
Hey man how many hours does that Panther or cougar put in and does he start the a.m. shift or the midnight shift and does he pay taxes does the government don't give a damn if you weren't you owe the government income that's the price you got to pay to deliver America it's the law you got to pay it oh by the way does that cougar has register for Selective Service is he 18 or under 18 years old give a fuck man if you work and be happy at the government don't lock you up so that cougar needs to obey the law
I think I counted 4 different cougars. the footage was fantastic. Not as many night time crossings of smaller critters as I thought we see. Also we dont' you bring an extra memory card w/you and just replace it instead of making so many trips? just curious. but I love all your trail cam pics. :) peace
I had to read up on these panthers. Only about 300 left and a breeding set needs 200 sq miles of contiguous forest. That is an insane amount of land. Eastern NC and the Everglades are really the only areas in the east that have the land mass to support these cats. Very interesting how different they are compared to how well bears have done in repopulating the coastal southeast. Many thanks for sharing. I will have all my cameras out this weekend for sure.
There are a lot of places these cats can, and do, live, and quite well. People spot them all the time, all over the Eastern states, as well as the Western ones. A cougar can live just about anywhere. I know people who have spotted the, in places they "officially" aren't supposed to be.
This is such a quality video! Very nice editing and cropping! You need to have a UA-cam workshop for everyone on how to make a top notch video. Well-done!
Very cool! When I saw the deer after seeing all the big cats I yelled out, "run, little deer, it's not safe here! Not safe!" My husband thinks I'm a weirdo. He's correct.
I'm a new sub from Kansas and wow, i didn't realize Florida had that much wild life of that type. You don't think that with all the hype thats spent on tourism about that state. I find it pretty cool but I'm not to sure about all those damn poisonous snakes I've seen in your other videos that's crazy. I hate those dang things. But hey to each there own lol. Thanks for sharing theses types of videos and educating folks. There's not much country for that type of wildlife too live in with all the big city and rural development that goes on anymore, man doesn't care they just force them out and don't realize that we need to share the environment with these creatures after all there are very good source for the ecosystem. Thanks again
Thank you Tim! Now I'm really glad that live near there. Gators Pumas and Bears No Way! I would be terrified about that! My heart is racing just little bit when I was watching your video. Thank you for that!
Great footage! I would probably put the cameras a few feet further back off trails, so that "people" don't see them. I see you are using Python security cables, but there are nuts out there who actually will pack in a set of cutters just to take cameras. I run cameras for deer mostly here in Va and have extra SD Cards to just change out and move on and not leave too much scent around. I just bought 2 Cameras that link to my phone and send pictures and video right to my phone or computer, so I that I don't have to go into an area much and leave scent. Again, great video of the animals!!! Thanks for sharing!!

Exactly. Big cats will see a human being before that human sees the cat. Cats are incredible stalkers
@Susan ShontelleSmith the word panther never came out of the post or my comment. Miserable much?
Sure do appreciate seeing this footage which you so generously share.
Bears sense of smell is 1000x better than a bloodhounds.
Its funny when you say that the gator is in your watering hole.... I think it's his watering hole bro!
Not if he has a rifle bro
Thanks for sharing these Tim. I never get tired of seeing videos like this. I hope these panthers are around for future generations. Take care.
Actual footage starts at 5:20
Really like the extra information, time, temperature and date. Very entertaining.
Bear: "theres a small human in this here box...I can smell him"
Awesome video. We are lucky to live in such a thriving ecosystem. More work to be done!

At least three different cats on the video. Curious as to how many there are.

Awesome video, brother. What a great hobby you have there.
That one cougar had a tracker on it. And that bear could smell you scent on that camera. AMAZING
Thanks ,enjoyed seeing all the animals
Why does the panther have a collar? Does Florida track them?
I noticed that as well
Some are because they're an endangered species.
There’s a dress code in some of the fancier resorts in Florida. A collar is normal, but a few require a sports jacket.
Yeah for that reason and for research to see their patterns and such.
What a great video ! Those panthers are something to respect. They’re there during the day. You just don’t see them
wondering if any of those hikers know what animals are around there.
Of course it's florida lol.
Great videos Tim. Whats the brand is the Camera Backpack you use
I hope you get your answer Eddie
Still wondering why the cat is wearing a collar at 6:58. Escaped from the zoo? Enjoyed it.
That would be a radio or gps tracking collar, part of conservation efforts to track and understand the cats.
My understanding is that they are so vulnerable (a few hundreds left, or less) that are tracked and monitored by State researchers.
Muito bom! Que câmeras traps foram usadas pra essas filmagens?
From the radio tracking collar on some of those cats somebody is obviously doing a study. It was nice to see that none of those cats had the genetically induced kink in their tail that was caused by such a low genetic pool when they were almost extinct. Bigger population now means a bigger ,therefore healthier, gene pool.
