Prove Your Love Valerie I Still Believe One Moment In Time Catch Me (I'm Falling) Tell It To My Heart Together Forever Anything For You Sweet Child O' Mine Never Gonna Give You Up
Billboard;s year end charts always seem heavily skewed to favor songs that charted at the very beginning of the year or even late the year before. The chart year going from the previous December through November instead of January to December and the frozen chart around New Year's lets those songs pile on quite a few extra points.
@@JaDav40 It was still in the Top 20 by that week- check it out - it was #19. Out of all the songs you decided to critique, you picked the one song that's still relevant today and actually has more combined Spotify and UA-cam hits than Faith by George Michael. The song carried on into Spring
Out of all these songs, I think "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" by Belinda Carlisle is the song that just keeps giving. It is an anthem of the 80s and lives on everywhere right up to today. The 80s music was unforgettable and 1988 is the most diverse in all ages and genres. The Go-Gos in the first half and Belinda-solo in the second half of the 80s dominated radio. Belinda was a hit machine the whole decade. Circle in the Sand by her was a pop masterpiece (and another Top 10 hit)
2:20 Currently have a cover version by Luke Combs at #3 this week! Likely to surpass the original YE position if the pace keep up or even dethrone Morgan! 2:48 The 1997 version did better though 8:56 Oh it’s Rick Roll
First year of community college after getting away from a silly girl that wasnt doing me any good. A broken heart but the music helped me grow up. 88' was memorable.
Gr8 yeer for music. Tiffny hd higher chrting hit thn debbie gibson, lthough debbie hd more totl. Best song of these is sweet child of mine. Music todey is wey worse now
And the song "Electric Youth" was the beginning of the end for Debbie Gibson. It only made it to #11. And she never had another Top 10 hit again on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Her music was just bubblegum,.teeny bopper pop music anyway, and so was Tiffany's.
Sooo much great music came out in 1988! ❤️🎼❤️
I miss the 80’s so much. Not only was the decade full of great memories, but also some amazing music!!

Compare these hits to the top hits of 1992, and it's like everyone in 1992 went depressed. I miss the fun of the 80s.
That was for 35 years ago!

"Heaven Is A Place On Earth" peaked the first week of December 1987. By the second week of January it was out of the Top 40.
it should be bsed on ll time streems up to todey

Great to see Kylie here!
And she is No1 on this weeks Billboard Dance/ Electronic albums 35 years latter!
That was the third time that song charted. The original version with Little Eva and a hard rock version with Grand Funk Railroad.
INXS dominated 1988

Tell it to my heart should’ve made it to number one! At least in the US
❤👍👏
As a 80s teenager in South Africa, i know 80s music pretty well. Some of these tunes i heard today for the first time😮
Fast Car is hands down the best hit song of the year in my opinion
How do I down load the full version of this list to my phone?
My mom was 15 in this year, the same time she began dating.
Gr8 yeer for music. Tiffny hd higher chrting hit thn debbie gibson, lthough debbie hd more totl. Best song of these is sweet child of mine. Music todey is wey worse now
Then Tiffany flopped, and Debbie had a 2nd successful album "Electric youth", being lost in your eyes 3 weeks at #1

Rickrolled on the year I was born
...no entiendo porqué algunas canciones aparecen como "new"
Es la primera vez del artista en el Hot 100. Está en la descripción del vídeo.
I was 16 girl in 1988
