The Omaha gold def didn’t come out in 04 tho; it came out around 2001-2002. The Omaha classic was a few years old by 2004, and that came after the gold.
The Omaha classic was one of my faves, but I like the Louisville sluggers that had the air tanks in the barrel-eg air attack 2, air attack 3, air linea, etc

Classic came came out 2002. Gold came out 2003. I know because freshman year in 2002 i used the bronze colored omaha classic and the. Sophomore year i used the Gold in 2003
TPX C555 Platinum was a beast. Probably my favorite bat of all time.
Prince Fielder wrapped one of those around a ball back in 2002. Brand new bat didn't have but a dozen swings and he literally bends the bat around the ball. One of the most insane things I've ever seen

The Gold actually came out for the 2001 season. That was the first -3 season. Omaha series was BB14, 2000, then gold.

Sweet Vid! My best Legion baseball season was with the Orange Omaha BESR - 11 bombs in 25 games with that baby that summer. I remember that as having a thinner handle with some flex and the ball really trampolined off that barrel.

Thing was so good. Air Omaha was raw too. It was like a drop 8. The one I had any way. But it was amazing. Worth mentioning that the length of bat makes a big difference. Especially with 1 piece

Wil "whatup-whatup Homie".....old school baller here, I gotta tell ya, i'm fan brother keep on doing your thing! Before my Military career I was a baller from the MD area graduated in the late 80's, played here and there traveled alot, but before my wood bat career began there were some SERIOUS ALUM BATS that crushed baseballs (C405/EA70 aluminum bats were sick), OMAHA GOLD was legit, that green TPX 34-29 C405plus was an absolute monster, than I ran into 2 other bats.....NIKE MX5 Riffel Barrel Tech and the RAWLINGS Liquid metal (Blue version), there is a ball in Dover PA that landed nearly 460ft from home plate due to meeting my MX5 34 inch bat, the ball actually stuck in the ground and some old school gent actually measure the ball from the fence that was 370 in the gap, another was at Catonsville community college 375 to centerfield, than a road that got you around campus than a hill, with that MX5 I cleared the road than 40-50 feet up the hill, thats nearly 80ft total bringing it close to 450-460 ft. I believe I may have toasted a few more balls as far but cant prove nothing, open fields and a ball that rolls for another 800 feet dont count, lol....find a NIKE MX5 (Orange bat) Riffel Barrel and see what you think, bat was a beast ..... PS there was a bat that had SC500 I think the alloy was "SCANDIUM" EASTON REDLINE (Black/Red) as well as the EASTON CONNEXTION (2 pc grey/red) those bats were crazy bats as well, get your hands on any of these get a legit baseball and you got yourself a 500ft mega bomb bat from the 90's...... it would be cool to see how far a Mken Ultra ii could hit a baseball, they were softball bats that were band back in my day
My teammate had one in 11u I def used that bat all year. Then started using the Omaha until high school. That’s when the stealth came out and took over. GrEAT memories
C 405 plus alloy had the best pop ever of all bats ever made in the history of time 🤩😎👍🏾👍🏾
Man, taking me back to the good Ole days. We had 1 of these on My 14u squad the year it came out but I still enjoyed swinging my redline at the time.

The popular bats when I was playing when high schools implemented -3:
1999-2000 (pre -3 days): TPX Omaha Gold, Easton CCore, Easton redline, TPX Omaha (the blue one, Stars and Stripes)
2000-2001 (full -3 implementation): TPX Omaha Classic, Easton Connexion Z-core, Easton Sc500, Easton Triple 777, Worth Copperhead (C405) and (C555)- my high school was a low-budget team and our coaches only purchased the cheaper Worth Copperheads (c405), but we did what we could with those bats.
2001-2002: TPX Platinum, Easton Sc777.
These were the bats that I remember the private catholic school teams using to demolish us.
that tpx omaha gold came out before 2004. I got mine when I was 15 which was 2001. I hit bombers with it. still have it. looking at it right now.
I think I went through just about every TPX Omaha model as a kid and through high school. Started with the Omaha blue, then went the with the gold, then the copper, and finished with an orange model which I forgot the name of in high school. I would occasionally cheat on Omaha with the exo grid lol
The farthest ball I ever seen hit in a game was with this bat my senior year in high school, our center fielder hit one 450+ on a full count, almost dead center. It was 390 to center and the center fielder never moved, just watched it hit off a side of the cliff that was about 50 ft behind the fence
I think I still have my TPX from the mid 90s laying around the house somewhere. I loved that bat.

Air attack 2, omaha (the black one from 98 not this gold one) redline c-core, and z2k are hands down the best bat ever made with the easton power brigade series and the green/blue zen being competitors
I swung the air attack 2 in high school… fire but broke at that handle in the cold!!!
The air attack 2 killed a pitcher and began the development of the BESR and eventually BBCOR restrictions

i used this when i was a freshmen is h.s. in 2001 the Louisville slugger bat we used in 2004 when i was a senior was the ARMOR with that wierd rubber handle grip
I think that bat is actually from 2000/2001. My high school JV team had that bat in 2001. I had the C555 platinum from that series and it was awesome as well.

I got an old beser its the easton sc888 CNX connexion two-piece technology 32/29 from like 2003, it say on the barrel blasting cap power cap design, with focus flex and a total peen finish. My dad picked this up from a yard sale for like $20.
Wow the Gold Omaha brings back great memories of playing baseball. I remember sneaking that bat into a slow pitch softball game when we needed a dinger to win a game

I have an 33/30 Warrior from 2005 it’s mint I hit like 4 home runs at Phillies spring training, Yankees, and Bluejays stadium in Florida where I played all my tournaments

2 of the hottest bats I’ve ever swung was the white TPX exo grid and the 2008 white Nike Aerofuse. Get your hands on one of those!!

Thats the batvwe used all in rec league an high school eirley 2000s i graduated in 2005. That bat hit so hard but had a softness to tge inpact of the barrel that made it great for me anyway
Don't forget that BESRs were ALSO deadened bats. Funny story, in the 80s, hits and home runs were getting too common so in 86, they imposed a weight limit to be drop 5 at most. This seemed to work but once they realized that MOI is more important than scale weight, HR seemed to rise again, so in 94, NCAA talked to manufacturers and decided to use the BPF standard aka USSSA standards and "agreed" not to make a hotter bat after 94. This is where the 1.15 bpf standard used today indirectly comes from. Once this agreement seemed to be a waste of time in 99, they came out with BESR as a way to make bats "equal to wood". This also turned out to be a load of bs because the math didn't account for the fact that lighter MOI = more bat speed and their formula was flawed, so in 2000 they amended BESR and put a minimum MOI. Then composite became a thing and BESR went into a tornado of problems from 2008 to 2010 so they adjusted the formula and made bbcor. BBCOR is not the successor to BESR, it's more of an amendment to BESR, because they both use similar variables and have the same MOI limit. I made a calculator and according to my findings, a BESR bat is on average equal to a .55 BBCOR rating. This increases as the bat gets lighter, as the pre 2000s bats were. So on average, a besr is 10% better than a bbcor of equal swing weight
Lmao dude drop spreading false information. The BESR bats were not deadened. It was a flawed system. The bats came out of the wrapper slightly dead but after a handful of hits they rocketed up in performance and easily out performed the pre BESR bats. That is 100% why the BBCOR standard was created, to fix the BESR flaw
@@bob-a-louannamaria7960 you're mistaking the late besr composite dilemma with the foundation of besr coming out of the gorilla ball era. I urge you to read the court cases and newspapers of the time to do your history on the subject matter instead of talking about it from the anecdotal perspective
c555 platinum and the Redline Z-Core were the best bats to have in that era.

You are all absolutely correct. I played high school ball from 1998-2002 and these bats came out during those years. Also, these bats WERE NOT CHEAP. Starting at $199.99 in 2000 was no laughing matter. Lol
They are from my senior year of 2001. The gold and platinum. Very loud. Very hot bats. I thought the Easton bats were a little hotter, but the TPX were a little more forgiving. So I swung the TPX C555 Platinum. It was $249.99. Got it for Christmas in December for my senior season.
