I've uploaded this to youtube because I think it is a fascinating interview with a very inspiring message and enlightened worldview being expressed by the artist Alejandro Jodorowsky. Interesting dynamics between the two as well. Thanks.

And he's so passionate about what he's doing :-) Great man!
He only reinforces the interviewer's nervousness.
He doesn't "help" (the guy) at all.
This is what I really find utterly disturbing.
Alejandro is destroying him with spiritual self-righteousness.
"I'm making this interview to be helping You!" ORLY?
I mean... There's so much wisdom in his words, but he doesn't REALLY get it.
There is NOTHING wrong with the interviewer.

lol why the fuck is this guy asking Alejandro about shit he don't care about? If I ever had the honor of meeting this master film maker I'd only be asking about his movies, his influences, his idols, and where he gets his ideas from.
Couldn't make it through this one. Artist vs. fool is the most painful thing.

Great comment! To me that makes the conversation all the more interesting, that is the contrast of intention and personality is so wildly different. It's kind of a lesson in being real.
who is 'so uptight'? alejandro jodorowsky is far from being uptight, he's so easy going, relaxed, passionate, happy.... comfortable and content with his 'self'!! richard metzger seems a pretty cool guy!! i don't get the comment....
Why is the interviewer so uptight?
... That's why:
BECAUSE Alejandro is "so easy going, relaxed, passionate, happy.... comfortable and content with his 'self'!!"
And the worst Alejandro could do is making the other guy feel like a spiritual loser. :/ That does not "help". That's spirituality misunderstood.
Alejandro is really destroying the guy, because he believes he has to "help" him.
There's nothing wrong in this interview. The only disturbing aspect is Alejandro's attempt to "help". He cannot "help" by emphasizing and reinforcing problems that only arise in contrast to his self-satisfaction and complacency.
I think it's a great interview, though...
There's wisdom here... anyway.

Jodorowsky is a genius. This interviewer can't even begin to compete on an intellectual level.
A genius that thinks he lives on a spinning ball zipping through space.

I wonder if Mr.Jodorowsky knew Parajanov's work in his younger age.

There's just one disturbing aspect in this interview:
People, who believe they are here to spiritually help, support, heal and enlighten other people tend to make other people feel bad *for feeling bad*.
People who are (in a way) spiritually self-righteous tend to make other people look as if they'd be some kind of spiritual losers!
(This is actually why we have to get rid of Gurus, Lightworkers and Spiritual Guides!)
And this is spirituality misunderstood.

If Alejandro would really (really) understand the deep wisdom in his ideas and what he is saying, then he would know that he doesn't have to criticise You for speaking fast... even if he thinks he senses fear or anxiety in Your words or Your behaviour.
It is totally okay to be what You are.
Telling (nervous) people to relax or to calm down/ telling people not to be afraid or (generally) to be better than they are doesn't really _help_ in most cases.
(Reverse psychology... mostly the problem gets worse, when we emphasize the problem.)
We are free to accept ourselves just the way we are, even with all our faults and anxieties that make us human(e) nevertheless.

Meanwhile,this guy Richard metzger is responsible of most of u even knowing who Alexandro is. So all the yammering about how awful his interviewing is. Who cares. These men are separated by 50 years in age. It was not going to be like
