it just says 780 instead of 1200 now
well then the solution would be sad so this is probably not it
@@joshuasteffanie947 i know that's probably what he thought with sad
@@joshuasteffanie947 Maybe 2 Outputs? That would not be sad haha
I would think either 2 outputs "the lame way" or able to place splitters directly on the miner "the jank way"
Since they never really intended to have mergers/splitters directly connected to machines, i think the jank way would be too much effort for them.
So it's gonna be either lame way or nice way (mk6 belts)
MK3 does awfully look like it could have 2 outputs.
I'd have to assume it'd just be faster belts using the story mode materials
The solution if you manually have to take it out of the miners inventory lamo
sad
😂🎉
For a long long time now I've been saying the solution could be as simple as having 2 outputs on the mk3 miner.
I've always thought being able to connect a splitter directly to the output would be great solution
@@chrisleech1 that would work too, yeah. It's basically the same thing
@@Veklim Not really, because it would also be useful for many other purposes as don't make MK3 miners on non-pure nodes look ugly
Isn't it not that simple though? I'm sure there's issues with the two outputs on industrial storage containers not splitting evenly and presumably a miner would have the same problem.
@@Kinitawowi wouldn't matter here, as long as you can pull the full amount out you can saturate and balance belts afterwards easily enough.
overclocking belts
You have to make a sushi belt with slugs on it
The trouble isn't the belt speed per se (they could just release a mk6 belt if that were all the trouble), no, the real problem is render and item tracking issues when you attempt to make a belt move 1200 items/minute (they've talked about this before).
@@thatchapthere under-rated Factorio reference right there
@@Veklim Satisfactory players use the term too but I guess that is where it originates lol
Sushi belt term originates in sushi restaurants 🍣
The sad solution is "Go into code, find MK3 100% overclock and change the value 1200 to 780".
The happy solution is "add new alien technology that gives us hyper advanced belts that support 1200"
The best solution is "To add futurama tubes, that will be able to transport infinity amount of resource".
I can actually only think of two ways to solve the problem
Sad way: You can only overclock it up to 780/m
Good way: Two outputs
I've stated this hope before the Satisfactory crew a couple times and I'll state it again: I REALLY hope the special alien materials we gather (S.A.M.) will unlock portal technology, which teleports the materials as fast as the machines can produce them right into the next machine, no matter the distance - gets rid of belts all together. It makes the most sense from an alien tech stand point, a story stand point, and it would blow the audience away with thrills. Oh, and it's easier on computer hardware which is especially taxed in endgame with all the belting going on. So, yeah, I have a genius idea and I hope it's the one they use.
I.... I mean like, that's... Sort of neat, but frankly I heavily disagree on most of those points and I would find it incredibly unlikely anything remotely like that would be made lol
The belts are a huge point of both the aesthetic and the functional design space of the game
Not to mention creating and managing from a gameplay perspective teleporting materials without good ways to determine what goes where would be absolutely horrid
It's a neat idea in principle but frankly I think there's a lot there that doesn't make sense
I don't think they'll do away with belts but the fact that they refuse to talk about it does make me think it's some story related thing. Remote storage was in the game before, so that lends credit to being something portal-y. Or perhaps time bending hijinks. I'm thinking definitely something wacky and not just two outputs.
Simple solution.
Just remove overclocking from the mk3 miner.
Tada!
I feel like I'm behind now, after playing Satisfactory for more than 650 hours I'm still using the miner mark 2.
600h? Oh god... don't worry there are a lot of "slow" players... I'm always bamboozled like look at this amazing factory and they haven't unlocked tier 5 yet.
@@gamerdweebentertainment1616 I found nitrogen fairly close to grass fields, the nitrogen is quite close to the western sandy coast. I had to build a ramp to reach the nitrogen, developing the miner mark 3 is going to take me several hours, I also have to start developing turbo motors and fused modular frames, I'm on tier 8 and fully admit my progress time is slow 🤷
'surprised' seems to suggest it's not one of the most common suggestions 🤔🤔
"Pleasantly surprised" and "surprised" dont mean the same thing...
Pleasantly surprise can be something like "everyone thinks they'll just nerf the nodes", but the solution is a double output to the miner. It's not a "surprise", but still fits the "pleasantly surprised" part, since we get something MUCH better
@@AwesomeNuke I don't see how you're you're disagreeing with what I wrote
@@matt69nice One of the most common suggestion is to have 2 outputs. Yet there have been rumors of them nerfing the output rates of all nodes to "fix" this issue and encourag expansion / exploration.
At this point, if they go with the 2 outputs (which is the most common), a lot of people will be "surprised"
It’s either 2 belt outputs of the miner or mk 6 belts
i hope for mk6 belts, because they are necesssary in endgame anyway.
I am almost expecting a pure node rework so we can build 2 miners on them, each having half capacity of the node, reducing the max capacity well below the capacity of a mk5 belt
that would be very lame
I guess we could be able to connect a splitter directly to the output.
Didn’t Snutt allude to it being a second belt connection to the miner?
That would be the lamest possible solution.
@@gorth1314Why? It would be pretty great honestly.
No need to even drop the max belt speed. 780 when one belt connected, 600 on each when two belts connected.
@@paulelderson934 Because increase in tiers assume an increase in complexity. What if the whole aluminum chain was just bauxite to a smelter to get ingots? Doesn't that sound boring and not interesting?
Best idea I heard was to add water to miner mk3, and it outputs muddy ore in a pipe. Then, you refine the mud and you get double the ore. 600/m water-ore becomes 1200/m ore and 300/m residual water.
What everyone is asking for is just 2 mk2 miners stacked together. I'll be real disappointed if that's all it is.
@@gorth1314I like your muddy ore idea, but I feel like it would need to do more than double the ore output from a level 2 miner on the same node to be worth it. Upgrading from miner tier 1 to 2 involves no change to infrastructure beyond upgrading the belts attached to it, which encourages building bases close to or even around the miners. This would make upgrading to tier 3 a pretty major ordeal, so there should be a bigger reward, especially since you can achieve Miner Mk3 speeds with an overclocked Mk2, which would save the hassle.
The only two solutions I can see are dual outputs or MK6 belts. I’m leaning towards the former as more likely.
i bet its just a spliter but now they will snap to the inputs and outputs of machines and they will be able to split the output into two belts
The solution is to not waste your shards in mk3 miners on pure nodes.
Maybe... direct connection of splitter to exit. would be a good thing in many places and because of that more usefull then two exits
Maybe posible to build splitter on the output xd
im going to guess at 1 more tier belt at max miner output. but eitherway, be it that or not, im glad there is a "solution"
I'd guess there would be 2x outputs on the miner - easiest solution?
I think the solution is MK1 having 1 output, MK2 2 outputs opposite of each other and MK3 4 outputs in cardinal directions. This way it will make it easier for the expansion of factories once you unlock higher grade miners.
uh just give the mk3 miners 2 outputs, 1200ppm configurable by choosing the amount each output will deliver up to 1200.
will a splitter be directly attachable tobthe miner?
half all the miner output, and each ore gives double the amount of ingots
The satisfactory plus mod for free has 2 output belts. It’s not rocket science for the company to implement if random people could
wuta boat a truck station kinda thing with mining headers (sth like resource well pressurizer/extractor) mining directly into station's storage? with headers functioning and being unlocked exactly the same way as normal miners. Also with a max range from the station that would be large enough just to allow mining nodes sitting next to each other? with ore being mined directly into the storage and an ability to load trucks it would solve the belt capacity issue and also 'bypass' the render/tracking issue mentioned in another comment
Just Underclock everything to 1% and you won't have to worry about maximums... geesh.
uhmn. Double output on t3 miners?
my guess is: 2 outputs and belt mk5 speed reduced to 600 (if at all ) and if so the rest of the belts also adjusted to the new mk5 max, making it the final flat maximum for 1.0
600 for the MK5 belt? This will break every single factory and raffinery; as soon as the MK5 belt is available, every single factory is regular build, to run on this MK5 belts/lifts with maximum load. Alluminum production, plastic/rubber production e.g., some will not get enough material, others will not get away the products and everything breaks down.
Maybe Mk.6 belts?
Rendering the items on faster belts will not work well. At least that's what they have said in the past. We're a couple versions of the game engine further than before, so it might be different now.
Second output
its basically faster belts.
Just satisfactory plus.
watch them make us overclock the belt somehow
The only logical, non-breaking solution is clearly just having 2 outputs on mk3 miners. Anything else will be a fail honestly.
Please m3 Miners with 2 Outputs
Maybe mk2 miner will throw the overflowing ore in the world as items
