- James Taylor is no stranger to the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
As of 2023, James has performed at Blossom more than any other featured performer: 26 times in the past five decades.
In 1979, James was celebrating the release of his most recent studio album, “Flag”, with an extensive U.S. concert tour that included the Blossom Music Festival. The concert was taped for release by Warner Bros, produced by Peter Asher and Stanley Dorman. This was James’ first ever commercial video release.

Russ Kunkel drumming away with all that long hair! 😆 His appearance may have changed, but he is still a master drummer. I've had the joy of watching him play with The Immediate Family, along with Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, and Steve Postell, the new kid in town. Great musicians who play for the joy of it stay great musicians.
