One thing I didn't mention in either video are the altraloths. Altraloths are super-fiends, yugoloths (of any type) that have been transformed in a dark ritual by Night Hags into more powerful versions of themselves. They don't hold a specific position in the hierarchy, they're just a beefed up yugoloth, but tend to hold positions of power within yugoloth society. Charon (who's real name is Cerlic and was originally a marraenoloth), Anthraxus (originally an ultroloth, and is why he looks different from other yugoloths), Bubonix (originally an arcanoloth), and Typhus (originally a mezzoloth) are all altraloths created for different reasons by Night Hags. Altraloths don't have a specific spot in the hierarchy and they are only mentioned in one source (Dragon Annual #2) so I didn't include it in the video, but figured I'd mention it here for the sake of completionism.

I just love how Altraloths serve as the real reason that nobody messes with the Night Hags. You'd think something like a Balor or Pit Fiend could just wrest larvae from them rather than pay, but even a demon lord or duke of hell would think twice when there's always the possibility that angering the hags could result in a living catastrophe like Anthraxus coming for revenge... and as statted out in Dragon Annual #2, he's an absolute unit who'd stand a decent chance one-on-one against anyone short of Asmodeus or the abyssal big 3 of Orcus, Demogorgon, and Graz'zt, and even carries around an artifact-level staff that can TURN ANY FIEND IT HITS INTO A LARVA.

My favorite one is chronic, lord of the river styix, perhaps one of the most powerful being in D&D and the only one that in Canon have the power of invisibility.

My primary antagonists in my Planescape campaign are an Arcanaloth, Shemeshka, who is also the benefactor of the party, and her rival, a Baernaloth called the Scribe, who is trying to undermine her while trying to hijack her schemes!

You said really, Yugoloths don’t really have much chaos in society, but that’s definitely not true upon analyzing the way you listed their ranks and relationships. The first and biggest way that they have chaos is leadership doesn’t necessarily mean physical or even magical power. With demons power, scales, directly with control and rank. It’s pretty similar, but not necessarily the same with devils. The second form of chaos in their society is all members of the same forum, technically have the same rank, and knows that promotion order, so almost any of them could get promoted next. The next way is the lesser forms have a strong tendency to violently mutiny as you said in the video, which is a very chaotic thing to do even though they can’t have their behavior curtailed, so they aren’t guaranteed to either be mutinous or obedient. Their next chaotic aspect is as they get higher in rank they all become more individual, and they all have different versions of what makes them powerful, and how, as well as connections and styles. So it’s not like how I’m more powerful demon just means they can do even better violence or a more powerful devil means a spot of greater prominence but instead as these girl, they become more distinct from each other so they have to be dealt with on a more individual basis.

in 2nd edition a Nycaloth was perfectly capable of going toe to toe with a pit fiend, and yet they had to submit to yagnaloths.
Baernoloths are also able to summon any fiend they wish..even asmodeus or demogorgon

There is another least/lesser yugoloth from dragon magazine: the Battleloth. These yugoloths have the ability to turn into a weapon-form. They are said to have been forbidden from being summoned for centuries thanks a very embarrasing failed double-cross costing the yugoloths contracts.

I mention them at 4:52, but it’s so brief it’s easy to miss. I didn’t know that they were forbidden from being summoned though, that’s very interesting. Thank you!

Absolutely love your videos. You manage to get a wide enough view to have lots of information to draw from but also get enough into the nitty gritty to keep it interesting!

I think Ubisoft's depiction of Yasuke is about the most offensive thing I've seen in a while. The historical Yasuke is often described as having skin as "black as ink." However, AC Yasuke is obviously of Afro-American heritage. What does the gaming industry, as well as Hollywood, have against a true portrayal of Sub-Saharin Africans? I guess, as far as Ubisoft is concerned, a black person has to be African American in order to be black.
