Another great race video. Congratulations to all of you running this half M. You should be proud of your finish time. 1.33 is not far from what you aimed for and running with a camera isn´t always the easiest when road-racing. Well done I say!!😊👏👏
Top class video Loyd, informative, honest and entertaining. You were not far off the 1:30 pacer at one point, despite sneaking a crafty 1/2 pint😅. Glad the injury didn’t affect your performance but as you say, back to the trails😊 Best wishes to Liga and John 🙏👏👏👍
Great film as always Loyd. In terms of other road races, have you ever tried the Treggy 7 in Launceston? Lovely run with an absurdly tough hill in the middle!
Great work, always love watching what you are up too, and as i was running this one i had even more of a vested interest. And .. i crossed the line when Liga crossed, so you captured me finishing as well - thank you !
Well done Loyd and Liga. It’s a long last 1.5 miles back to the stadium but the atmosphere around the course and at the finish is worth it. Thanks for sharing.
We’ll done, Liga looked like she loved that. Made me think back, used to live them. I’ve not done a road race for a couple of years now, I remember the lungs busting and pushing solid for 13.
Thanks Rosie 🙏 It's a great race and the finish is awesome, well worth running 🏃♀️ Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
looks like a good road race. Im looking forward to Aalborg Brutal Marathon today, which is a hilly run around the zoo here in Aalborg, Denmark. Happy easter
Great effort Loyd. I last ran this in 2019 and went 1.38. I remember that last straight road heading toward the stadium and looking at the windmill thinking 'it's not getting any closer'! 😩
Congratulations for finishing with a pretty good time. Don't knock yourself! Glad to hear your leg was OK. I ran Cherry Blossom 5k & 10-mile races (Washington, DC) on Saturday and Sunday respectively and also used Endorphin Pro 3 in 10-mile race. Great shoe! I am also coming out of pelvic bone fracture injury in February and had not run a lot recently, I was happy with my performance. The soft landing and comfort of EP3 helped a lot. I ran the 5k race in VF2. Also, great but I needed a bit more confort for 10-miler.
No way, that's me at 8:36 in the Ben Parkes top willing myself to the finich line! I did try to keep an eye out for you, but that last stretch up the A33 is deep in the pain cave, so missed you obviously haha!
Fantastic news that the leg held up Lloyd. 👏Congratulations Lloyd and Liga! Not my cup of tea though, I have to say - looks like far too much hard work! 🤣 Think I’ll stick to the trails! 🏃♀️
Thanks Melanie 🙏 It was pretty painful at times but it was worth the effort and we had a great weekend. I think it's good to mix in a bit of road racing now and again, great for mental toughness! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks Kieron 🙏 It was great to be back in a big race on the roads. My legs didn't think so at the time but I'm really glad I ran Reading. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Not at all! I ran on the roads for 11 years before I started to focus on the trails so I knew what was coming. It's been a long time since I've raced on the roads so I wasn't really conditioned for it physically or mentally. It will go better next time 😁 Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks 👍 Nutrition and hydration are super personal things and it's what works best for you that counts. I could easily go out for a 90min training run and have no food or water but I'd what something in a race 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
I suppose pace is relative to each individual Kevin. I've run a Marathon at 6.30 min per mile so I really would have liked to run the half marathon quicker 🤔 I'm sure with a bit more road specific training I can get that time down quite a lot 👍 Thanks for watching 🙏
Absolutely love seeing the joy on people’s faces crossing a finish line. No better feeling

Really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 😊
Great film as always Loyd. In terms of other road races, have you ever tried the Treggy 7 in Launceston? Lovely run with an absurdly tough hill in the middle!
Cracking video and a great time too Loyd despite the heavy legs. Well done to Liga too, that jump alone over the finish line deserved a medal! 🏅👍
Nice one Loyd, well done with it. Completely agree road races are brutal with no let up! Good to hear the leg is OK 👍
Nice one mate. This is why I don't do many halfs, they hurt too much....🤣
Thanks mate, it was pretty painful! Hope you're fit and well, thanks for watching 🙏😊
Great work, always love watching what you are up too, and as i was running this one i had even more of a vested interest. And .. i crossed the line when Liga crossed, so you captured me finishing as well - thank you !
That's awesome Simon, I'm glad we captured your finish and thanks for watching the channel 🙏😁
Congratulations Liga and Loyd. Awesome and well done Loyd to grit those last miles out ❤ Never a truer word said “this road running lark 😂is tough”
It sure is Paul, it had been a long time and I'd forgotten how tough! Thanks for watching mate 🙏😊
“Hideous!”, he says as he beats my best half time by over 20 minutes.
Fair play, Loyd, fair play.
Well done Loyd and Liga. It’s a long last 1.5 miles back to the stadium but the atmosphere around the course and at the finish is worth it. Thanks for sharing.

That’s a great time Loyd 👍
Thanks very much 🙏😊
Well done Loyd and Liga. Looks like the support was brilliant, and the stadium looks like a cool way to finish a race!
Thanks Rosie 🙏
It's a great race and the finish is awesome, well worth running 🏃♀️
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏
Great film Loyd, well done... I know what the 'no beans left' feeling is like in a half marathon, how did Liga manage that jump?
Fantastic video buddy, I love watching your videos - so inspiring.
looks like a good road race. Im looking forward to Aalborg Brutal Marathon today, which is a hilly run around the zoo here in Aalborg, Denmark. Happy easter
Great effort, not easy to run a good half time and document the race at the same time, oh and I forgot your beer stop as well 😂
Great effort Loyd. I last ran this in 2019 and went 1.38. I remember that last straight road heading toward the stadium and looking at the windmill thinking 'it's not getting any closer'! 😩

Well done, Loyd. It's brutal being in the threshold for so long - first 5k always feel like a breeze, but that middle section is brutal!
Well done to you both
Thanks very much 🙏😊
Well done. Feel inspired 😊
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching 🙏😊
Cracking vid and well done to you both on your times
Thanks very much 🙏😊

Well done, Flora. Ultra running is all about the highs and the less. Its never nice to chalk off a DNF but we keep moving forward. 👍
Flora? Not sure what you mean Paul 🤔
Well done Loyd/Liga. Looked like a fun day!
I love your race/parkrun videos. Great running both of you 👍
Thanks Brioni 🙏😊
Loved this ! Well done and great time. Defo a race to put on my list to do. Coming into the stadium looked awesome
Really glad you enjoyed the video David. It's a great finish, I've always wanted to finish in a stadium 👍
Thanks for watching 🙏
I really enjoyed watching this video! And well done!
Decent time that, well done.

No need to be self critical. An awesome run, well done to you all.
Cheers Gary, thanks for watching 🙏😊
Great video well done.
well done mate!
Well done mate 👏 can't beat that race atmosphere 😁👍
Thanks Kieron 🙏
It was great to be back in a big race on the roads. My legs didn't think so at the time but I'm really glad I ran Reading. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
What a cool finish line. Well done R4A gang. 💪
It's a great place to finish Jim, amazing atmosphere! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment it's appreciated 🙏😊
Well done buddy! Reading is one of my fave HM and such a fun course. Did you think it would be a breeze on roads coming from ultras? 🤔
Not at all! I ran on the roads for 11 years before I started to focus on the trails so I knew what was coming. It's been a long time since I've raced on the roads so I wasn't really conditioned for it physically or mentally. It will go better next time 😁 Thanks for watching 🙏
@@Run4Adventure enjoy!
Well done 👍
Have you tried running a 1/2 without eating/drinking?
Shouldn't need anything for a 90 min run, not even water unless it's hot weather.
Thanks 👍
Nutrition and hydration are super personal things and it's what works best for you that counts. I could easily go out for a 90min training run and have no food or water but I'd what something in a race 👍
Thanks for watching 🙏
Stoked to see team Run4Adventure full of endorphins
Running woop
7.30 min per mile is pretty good no? that's a 4:41 m per km pace?
I suppose pace is relative to each individual Kevin. I've run a Marathon at 6.30 min per mile so I really would have liked to run the half marathon quicker 🤔

@@Run4Adventure that’s some damn good running at 6:30 🥹 eye watering
Good job, Loyd. Here is my like. A nice day for everyone. 🌤️🏃🌞
