- We are back at Australia's largest model turbine jet event the Wang Jets. Yet again the event remained as one if Australia's premier model flying events with great planes, good people and a lot of laughs in between.
There may have been a slight mishap though which you will find out all about in the video.

Very sad for your loss of the Viper!! I was flying my F22 from bay 4 at the time and just caught it out of the corner of my eye and thought that does not look good. Great video and if Yoda was there, I'm sure that he would lend you one of his jets!!
Awesome Video , Loved the Jets theyare just a cut above all other Models imo , also sorry to see you get into the death spiral and 9/10 unrecoverable or possibly loss of electrics either way , wasnt really your fault ill let you fly mine its only a boomerang but she's fast he he he
yep, I concur with Lior.........it looked like you tried to bring it back up too quick instead of letting it decend for a while....Especially vipers.....cant pull up too fast after going over the top

Great video! So many gorgeous jets, all dynamically presented. Not a dull moment in the entire video - great camera work and editing! Probable cause of your Viper crash: departed controlled flight and snapped rolled all the way to the ground. Looked like it high-alpha upon entering the reverse 1/2 cuban on pull up.
Also known as high-speed stall.
that was definitely a high speed tip stall induced by a too strong pull of the elevator during the loop exit. since you kept pulling it went into a spin and crashed. that is unfortunately a common situation among pilots who dont know it and know how to exit it carefully.

Agreed, accelerated stall followed by not pushing in forward staticky, or at least relaxing the back stick, and applying opposite rudder, causing it to stay in the spin.

The EXACT SAME THING happened to me with my Odyssey......you tried to roll too quick out of the split S on the way down.....not enough speed and it tip stalled...not loss of com.

You have done nothing wrong. For me it looks like the plane has lost complete control. It was fast and high enough for being recovered from the stall.

1st, love the video, 2nd, something came loose or moved in your jet. Looks like a high G maneuver might have knocked something loose 🤷♂️

Yes i agree with this comment, I lost my viper the same way inverted 1/2 Cuban …pulled elevated snap crashed

All these could benefit from telemetry. His crash looked like out of range, possibly, or servo malfunction.

You loss the aileron it was spinning to the right. One of them servos it can go out that’s what it was. And I’ve seen people loss a signals anything can happen man. I’m very sorry for your viper jet. That sucks man good looking plane too.
