Awesome review! I really like the versatility of it, the configurations are endless. Especially with the accessories. I am still committed to the trays and the terrible metal rails, but the next go around will likely be this system. Looking forward to further updates in the future. Thanks brother!
Glad UA-cam put your video in my feed. Finally getting serious about organizing my toolbox and haven't been able to find the right solution for my sockets. This is exactly what I've been looking for and it won't break the bank. Thanks for the great review. Subbed and look forward to watching your other vids.
Those socket boss trays are nice! I could use the individual rails too, because they can accommodate more than the standard 10 sockets per rail. Great video.
Somehow must have missed this vid . I use same rails they are nice I did blue for metric red Sae and green for Torx mine are on a board thanks for video
My OCD tells me you have your 21/32" socket out of order. :) I have the Craftsman master socket set which came with those odd sizes too. I had to buy a 19/32" when I was younger for my 1979 Firebird.
I like the westling socket trays a lot more . Don’t like the magnetic at all they just collect dirt . Those type of trays might be good for tools kept in a car . I don’t want to yank or twist or try pulling sockets off the tray .
@@chevelle74us Nice! I have and love the Westling Machine socket trays, but I now have added all the master and large impact socket sets from Grey pneumatic, and am looking for a solution to store them all.
Would be great in my service truck!!!😎😎 Checking the bolt to the sockets... If you learn to let your eyes measure the bolt size or the hex size... You won't have to do it that way 😎😎😎 (Sorry, been letting my eyes measure for me since I was about ten years old... They're usually right!!! Right up to the bastard size SAE and some Metric....
+LDSloan after more than a year now I’d say they held up great. I notice that some of my 1/4” sockets don’t hold on as well as others but I think that more because the sockets themselves are slightly different in size. For me, I find them to be the best solution.
+Dwayne Denison they are all on 18" rails, except for the impacts, those are on the 13" rails. As far as I know, the impacts are on regular rails. I don't think Ernst makes special rails for impacts, but I could be wrong. Thanks!
+Marz Paz Yes, you can get them off amazon, but I got mine off of the manufacturer's website: www.ernstmfg.com Amazon was limited in their selection and in some cases was more expensive.
Why does everybody think they need a long ass loud ass intro to every video? Really you need that stupid ass intro that busts out my eardrums ? Why.? You aren't the only one. Seems this trend caught on a few years ago on UA-cam. You are not a professional channel your just some guy with a video. You don't need a theme song especially since you have not figured out volume leveling yet. Everyone with these intro blasts should be banned from UA-cam.
+Todd Hayslett You're right, I'm not a professional channel, and I am just some guy making a video. The fact is, I'm still learning. I film, edit and upload all from my iPhone. It sounds good on my end, but I don't really have a way of knowing how it sounds on yours. That's where your feedback is welcome. Thanks.
@@chevelle74us idk just get used to knowing the size of the bolt, nut and socket you’ll need or what’s out of place. wouldnt it take hours to label all the socket trays, and then if you brake clean your tray the stickers will just come off and you’ve got to do it again?
It’s held up well after 3 years. The socket organizers don’t get too dirty since I usually give my tools a quick wipe down before they go back in the drawer if they get dirty.
Hf and rural King ones don't. There just fine if you don't beat em. I actually pay profer em from hf or rk because there lebel and cheap. 2-5 bucks on sale.
just what I needed after a new Xmas gift to myself! Thanks for making this (7 yrs ago lol)
im so glad there is finally a quality new review on these they are amazing i have a 3 rail socket tray and love it

Love these socket rails, they’re the only ones I buy now 👌🏻
Nice review mate, regards from Scotland 🏴👍🏻

Great video.
+Rob's Wrenches Thanks Rob!
Nothing like applying delicate stickers while rock music is playing in the background!

I love these rails. I have to point out that your 3/8 drive 3/4" deep well is cracked
Just subbed. Like your style.👍
+Frank Dee Thanks!
Definitely a great investment there.Them metal rails are horrible lol.
Brady's Tools! Definitely! Glad to ditch the metal rails.
Good stuff
cool thanks for sharing
+BADD400 CB700 drums Thanks for watching!
With that precision you could write your name on a piece of rice.
😆😂
i use toolbox widget for my extensions and ratchets in a drawer
hey just wondering how tall they are with the impact long sockets.
The add like 5/16” of an inch to the socket.
My OCD tells me you have your 21/32" socket out of order. :) I have the Craftsman master socket set which came with those odd sizes too. I had to buy a 19/32" when I was younger for my 1979 Firebird.
+john4kc I didn't catch that. Thanks for the heads-up!
Time to return that knuckle buster 3/4 deep socket man. Around 1:41... that will definitely bring you troubles.

You got a lot of magnetic dust in your shop ???
Any ext. Longer than deep wells can lay alongside of rails
is there any way to order the stickers for the rails ?
You’d have to reach out to the manufacturer.
I didn't see Ernst selling them, but Tekton has the same rails and sells the label sheets separate
@@evilcactuar it’s been so many years. I don’t know who sells them anymore. I will say after many years I still really like mine.
Are you still using these rails? How do you like them after 4.5 years?
No complaints after all this time.
@@chevelle74us Nice! I have and love the Westling Machine socket trays, but I now have added all the master and large impact socket sets from Grey pneumatic, and am looking for a solution to store them all.
Those look nice. Can you add or subtract socket holders on the rails?
Thanks for the video.
+Bruce L. Yes you can. I removed and added as needed, because I didn't want any unused spots.
Thanks.
Would be great in my service truck!!!😎😎

Hey great video and review. How have the socket clips held up with twisting the sockets on and off. Have they loosened up very much?
+LDSloan after more than a year now I’d say they held up great. I notice that some of my 1/4” sockets don’t hold on as well as others but I think that more because the sockets themselves are slightly different in size. For me, I find them to be the best solution.
@@chevelle74us Good to know. Thanks for the fast reply. All the best to you and your family.
LDSloan you’re welcome and same to you!
Is there a reason there are a few red rails in the back?
Where do you get the labels?
The labels came with the rails.
I have some for tool bag tools but too much cost/ trouble for tool chest.
Did you get the 13" or 18" rails? Also is the impact sockets on the standard clips or the ones made for impacts?
+Dwayne Denison they are all on 18" rails, except for the impacts, those are on the 13" rails. As far as I know, the impacts are on regular rails. I don't think Ernst makes special rails for impacts, but I could be wrong. Thanks!
Twist lock fowls up with grease and wont lock Need to keep them clean
Those are pretty sockets, have they ever been used or are they there to impress your friends 😂😂😂😂😂
Its a good system for collectors of tool, not users of tools
21/32 is larger than 5/8. You have it in the wrong location on the rail
Late to the party. I see someone told you🤨
Watching Silently good observation!
Great review but links would be helpful.
Do you have a link to purchase?
Marz Paz amazon bro
+Marz Paz Yes, you can get them off amazon, but I got mine off of the manufacturer's website: www.ernstmfg.com Amazon was limited in their selection and in some cases was more expensive.
Nice review. Please next video even out the music volume with your speech volume. My ears hurt.
HOLY SHIT that shit was loud! Turned down my speakers for it, as soon as it was over I had to reach back and turn it up again.
Dawg your tools are too clean
+austin vickers not anymore they're not lol
Too bad they don't come w/ 3/4" drive sockets. If hf or rural King did that be great. Cheap to. Which is the best part of them
Ernst does carry a 3/4" Socket Boss!

Love these rails. But damn what a waste of time to label them
It’s hard to read the socket sizes. Having the labels on the rails makes it easier especially when I’m cleaning up or having someone help me.

All that noise that's why I do not watch a lot of videos. Probably would have been a good video if not for the damn music!
Waste of space. Standing up they need a 4" tall drawer.
Actually if you place them upright in your top box that is covered by the lid you have plenty of space, except the long extensions.
@@brettalder3129 no lid. The top is a work surface.
They are Tekton rails and trays I have the Exact same rails and trays
