Man, I know you may have read some of my comments, non-important, who I am or where I came from, but I knew the boys personally and you sound phenomenal. Thank you for keeping this old. Holy guy, educated and practicing still here on the north east of USA. I miss my youth growing up on Oahu, and that’s where all of my influences came from, thank you sir, for keeping that spirit alive, especially for all timers like me who love the greater boys. My biggest cameo was I played live with John Cruise about eight years ago, on top of a bus, I believe, he was opening for Jack Johnson in New Jersey, and we were finishing up a ProServ contest, and knowing the boys a little bit for years, they invited me up to play. I was in my business was the largest Hawaiian music dealer for about 12 years in the northeast so I made friends with musicians and saw everybody when they came to New York and the area. When I was young and decent, I was the token guy for a bunch of great guys that played aloha boys and Virginia. Anyway, dude thank you so much. You’ll never get my full story but you have no idea how much I appreciate you. I will be donating. Thank you sir, you’re pretty awesome for what you do and share. I miss Ernie and John together, and I miss brother IZ, the first time I saw him play live he was doing a shopping center opening in Waiwa on the back of a flatbed that was mid 80s late 80s maybe. At the time I lived around the corner from the Haleiwa plate lunch , where we used to play, Pakalolo will tickle your feet every day after surfing and eating an amazing loco moco❤️ Does the musical tour of Hawaii still exist, and do they still play Carnegie Hall every winter in New York City. I did that for about 12 years with the groups when they came out, got invited for late night dinner with Makaha sons one year and my wife was pregnant and we couldn’t go. We had to take the train home. Anyway spent way too much time telling you stories. Thank you thank you thank you❤️🤙🏼
Sup Hawaiian I stay east coast too now. Glad to hear some stories from other local braddahs 🤙 maybe next time I go NYC I going see if they get the Hawaii musical tour still

there's a constant down-up-down-up pattern. the second pair of D-U are chugged. You just have to use your pinkie, or more fingers if you prefer so, of your left hand and put it/them across the strings without pressing, if the pinkie or more fingers are free for that chord. If not, lift your fingers and just slightly touch the strings. I also use my left thumb to mute the g string, or in this case chug it
