Bigfoot #6 and #7 (and later #4 as well) used a 540ci big block Ford in place of the usual 460ci Fords they were running at those times, those trucks were FAST for their time.
I had a power wheels Bigfoot as a kid and totally used to drive it with my head hanging out the side, leaning on the door because that was how Jim Kramer used to drive.
Big foot will all ways be a historical name in the monster truck industry if it wasn't for Bob chandler there wouldn't be any monster trucks goin to monster truck shows is in my blood I all ways say there's nothing like monster trucks it's the biggest motor sports in the world
Man. Seeing those older trucks taking jumps like that and crushing cars just makes my back hurt. Lol. They had to be stiff and jar you around everywhere. Awesome to watch though
If you mean real in the sense of no fiberglass you're wrong . The truck in the video has fiberglass bedsides and tailgate . That's why it has the bed cover and the wheel Wells are replaced with a piece of sheet metal .
It's sad in some ways seeing #7 in it's heyday, considering what it became and where it's been for several years. If any other fans didn't know, #7 was converted into a non-functional replica of #5, and was sold to Race Rock Restaurant in Orlando, another #5 duplicate was built for their Las Vegas location. When the restaurant went out of business, the duplicate went to a museum in Illinois, #7 went to Fun Spot USA in Kissimmee, FL where it is still on display.

0:27 to 1:05 was cool, It was almost like being there riding in the Shuttle listening to The Four Tops watching Bigfoot #7 getting ready to go do battle. On that note, Bigfoot #7 was FAST for its time, and this was a good track to let its stretch its legs! Bigfoot #7 has so much history to itself. This truck deserves a more in depth video.
For a steel body this truck was fast. Go Bigfoot thank you for my childhood memories!!

Loving these classic footage! The 80's is another one of my favorite era's.
You always can tell when Jim is driving when you see a helmet and arm out the window!
Nothing in Monster Truck racing will ever be more iconic than Jim Kramer driving Bigfoot with his head out the window.
Still the best only real monster truck ever graced this earth

That was a massive brand new Ford making beautiful turns and fantastic run.
Love this race and number 7. Thanks guys.
Jim Kramer. The best to ever do it!
Jim Kramer and bigfoot 7 in the 1988 series would have won no doubt!!!
#7 was fast for sure and Kramers aggressive driving style would certainly have complimented that fact.

Right before #8 changed the world. And #4 became a zombie and somehow still dominated the field in to the late 90s

I can't believe how fast Job Kramer is driving Bigfoot Awesome
Who is Job Kramer?
This was when monster truck was real
Rockin Guy They’re still real, you know.

Probably implying when monster truck had the two seater cab instead of the one seater cab that a lot of trucks have now of days.

The last Bigfoot truck that was actually a truck.
Do you guys have any footage of Bigfoot #6 in the UK during its tour from 1992-1994? Many thanks 👍
There is some footage on the 25th anniversary tape and DVD
I'd like to see Avilla Speedway Avilla/Ft Wayne IN. May 14 & 15 1988!!!!
Besides the Road House role, people don't really talk about Bigfoot 7. Truthfully, it was probably the best of the Stage II monsters.
Holy shit! I didn't know those old trucks could move that fast!
A few of them could. Bigfoots #4 through #7 were some very fast leaf sprung trucks, so was USA-1 and Grave Digger.
To think, that Ford body came out of a stamping plant somewhere having no idea what it was in for.
The best human analogy of that is being born and becoming a rockstar.
Matt Kettmann That Ford body was very blessed.
Nathan McDonald It’s my favorite Rock Star.
It said that truck is now sitting down in Kissimmee Florida rotting at fun zone
For an old school, straight frame leafer, #7 was SPEEDY.
what was this event? just a test session set up for #7? or did more trucks do this course?
why don't modern monster trucks do these kinds of runs?
It depends on the promoters to set up the tracks not the owner/driver's of the trucks.
Because they're to busy blowing themselves up doing endless free styles.
Nathan McDonald and?
