Ford restructured and even cut pay I’m the executive level. Ford prevailed and came back stronger without the bailout. Ford did their part to spare my tax paying dollars and quite well. I respect them for that and because of that Ford is it for me.

Gosh what a beautiful monster. When I was a kid in the 90s a family member gave me a beta tape of Battle of the Monster Trucks recorded on it. Bigfoot will always be my favorite truck.
It really is amazing that the first few bigfoots were real trucks just with modified suspension and engine, in a clip on UA-cam somewhere you can see that it still had the bench seat in it!
@@theshapeexists nah brother Bigfoot 1 had a 640 cid big block based on the 429...was originally built for boats just watched power nation videos about it incredible tech for the day check them out...mind blown

They tried it with Bigfoot #9 which is essentially a modern Monster truck and it walked over the hill like nothing. Here's the footage. ua-cam.com/video/hqE6huU9Bbk/v-deo.html
That's about 9,000 to 10,000 lbs of heavily modified pickup truck... And he's ramming the pedal through the floorboard!!! You know that was one heck of a ride, steel body, solid military axles, and heavy terra tires... Old school!!!
I Remember watching all these vintage Monster Trucks their the Real Thing compared to the The Monster Trucks of today. Thanks BigFoot for leading the way for Such a Cool Sport for the Monster Trucks.
Back in 1979, a friend bought parts from Bob Chandler to build his own Bigfoot truck. He made the spring hangers so his truck was one inch taller than Bigfoot with 66 inch tires. It was street registered, but I think it was 6 inches over width for legal street use.
Just to think he built that truck just because he wanted to go camping and couldn't get his deep into the woods as he wanted and climb and get ground clearance he kept getting stuck so he just built this monstrosity which is absolutely amazing
Is any of that footage from Stafford Springs Raceway(CT) 4wd rally back around 77-8? About 40 years ago I was with my uncle at that rally and watched as Bob showed up pulling Bigfoot with his RV. There were probably 200 trucks there and everyone was awestruck by the site. Bob took my uncle and I for a ride around Stafford Springs races at in that truck. I still remember the metal foot that turned the rear wheels. He did a hill climb and he even hooked up to a few of the club trucks and showed how easy it was to pull them around. Still have my original pic of the truck blown up in a plastic case. Never would have imagined he would start such a phenomenon.

It’s funny that I know people who daily drive trucks bigger than the original Bigfoot I like this old footage though The trucks today aren’t trucks at all, BF was real.
I was a member of the old St. Charles Fire Protection Dist. Station #1 on Jungs Station Rd. when Bigfoot was born. and it was a building shaker when he drove it by there all the time.

yes

this is so true
I wish monster trucks still did outdoor events like this. It would be alot more interesting
You mean doing actual 4x4 stuff and not dirt bike stuff.
