This works on C3 mk1. Rear brakes are the same I just did this. I managed to use a standard brake pad spreader but took one paddle out so the centre screw pushed the piston. You definitely do need the grinder tool. Make sure it’s a wide one as I had a smaller one and needed to use another I had.
