This is too funny. But, HW puts out quality work. We would all look retarded in a muted video. HW is just like us, but has way more talent.

My Kemper sounds great through the poweramp and cabinet. In the studio,
the over drive and distortion sounds like I am connecting an old stomp
box without a speaker simulator to the mixing console. Incredibly bad.
My band no longer wants me to take the Kemper Profiler to rehearsal.
I've done everything I can to. Watched every UA-cam instructional
movie. I am really considering saying goodbye to the Kemper. Maybe the
    QC is a better option

Hey HW! Bought your everything pack a few days ago and really like rolling through the hundreds of different sounds. Can you recommend a good gretsch rockabilly sound in the pack or some good settings? I’ve been watching every show you’ve done and appreciate all you’ve done and your enthusiasm! Keep up the good work!

I too purchased the 'Everything Pack' in 2018 and have used them quite a bit in my Gretsch demo videos. Look for a profile named '69 Vibe Rolex B2'. You're going to want a "sparkly" type amp for your Gretsch and there are a lot of profiles in the pack that fit the bill. Go into the delays and add some slapback at about 170ms with two or three repeats mixed at about 50% and you're good to go for the Rockabilly sound. Have fun!

MyTwangyGuitar thank you very much for the reply. I love watching your videos btw. I’ve watched all of them and have to say you’re a fantastic guitarist.

He I just been muckin about
If you push clarity too far in the amp section but it's close to what you want but a bit thin you can do the same thing to beef it back up using direct mix
You can also make it sound ..bad !!😵

  • @musicproductionvideos5019

The manual reads like the "Direct Mix" is a copy of the "Clean version
of the amp/profile"... that's blended in. "Direct" would be that old
direct into the mixer sound, yea? Maybe it should be called "Clean Mix"?
Doesn't sound like it actually is a direct sound?

Just studied the Tube Screamer schematic. I can not, for the life of me, find any 30 % bypass in that schematic. What am I missing?

Can you add a time stamp of what you’re referencing? I’m thinking you may be referring to when he was talking about the Sparkle Drive.

456or7strings HW says the a tube screamer is compressed and blends in 30% of your clean signal anyway. 2:05

Matthew Hill thanks - that’s what I thought but didn’t want to assume. Sam, there was at least one discussion about this a couple years on TGP. Here’s a link... www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/tubescreamer-like-od-without-signal-split-no-clean-bleed.1952388/
