Oh I bet I have about $1500 in gear to fly like this. But that includes the gopro. Technically I don't need the gopro to fly but it makes really nice video. By far the most expensive singe item is good FPV goggles range from $350 - $600. You can get box goggles for around $100, and they are good for getting into the hobby and deciding if you really want to to this. But once you are committed, good skyzone or fatsharks or maybe even orqa's are going to be a necessary investment. But tinywhoops is what got me started flying FPV and you can buy a ready to fly tiny whoop kit for $350ish. goggles radio and drone, and perhaps a couple of batteries.
@@FPVKermyt Thanks for the tips! Yup, I was looking for budget entry into fpv on reddit and scrubbing through the sub most people recommend investing in a good fpv google and a Rc first. I am saving up for a Radiomaster zorro elrs do you think it's a good deal or are there any other better option available?I am getting it for around $150 shipped. also one last thing is Eachine EV100($150) a good google or are there any better options available ? Since it's the same price shipped as the zorro.
@@BazilDay The Zorro is a fine radio. I'm sporting a TX16S, but I have been doing some form of RC since the 1980's and I am just used to that form factor for a flight radio. Younger pilots today who may have grown up with a playstation or xbox controller might prefer the shape of the zorro over the slab style of the TX16S. Just make sure you use a good stable control link protocol like ELRS. As far as the eachine goggles... I started in FPV using the Eachine EV800. These are box goggles that are very clunky and hard to use but they got me started and going good enough to know this was a thing I was willing to invest more money in. And that's just how you have to look at most of this entry level gear. (not the zorro that should last you for years). These ev100's look like they will be much more comfortable that the EV800's but the resolution is only enough to barley support NTSC or PAL. But they may be "good enough" and they sure are inexpensive enough considering it's really hard to find analog goggles sub $350, and most premium goggles go for closer to $500. But premium goggles come with premium features too like high res displays, and HDMI inputs, and OLED displays that are brighter than real life without blowing out. You won't be flying any long range missions with those EV100 goggles but I bet you can win some tinywhoop races with them.
Subbed!
Btw how much does your whole setup cost?
