Thank you very much for your beautiful tune. You are motivating me starting with irish bouzouki. I was listening to Daoirí Farrell and have fallen on your superbe musical interpretation. Best regards Fabien
Wonderful!! Beautiful chords and beautiful notes. Glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing this wonderful music. I follow you and like 4 💎💎💎 Don't let it. Keep making this music. Kind regards from Spain.
Very cool. As it is, I'll need to become a vampire to have enough time to learn all the instruments I'm interested in; and this just got added to the list. So thanks fer that.
Wonder if you've found out yet that the Hora M1089 bouzouki (being played) is available from Hora in Romania for $210 (with pickup). Cost another $70 or so for shipping--total less than $290 w/tax. Just got one myself and I'm completely absorbed--they're fantastic!
Unreal playing Tore, that's a lovely rendition! Do you reckon this would be possible to do in ADAD? I'm learning and trying to figure out if ADAD is too limiting for tunes like this
Hey Tore, how do you figure out the tabs for this? Do you listen by ear? I just got a bouzouki and am a moderate-skill guitar player, but I don't have the skill to pick it all up through listening
I figure it out by ear, it's how this type of music is "spread" so it's the way I recommend. Learning to play by ear takes some time, but it's worth it! If you have a teacher who is used to teaching by ear, that's a great way to start. If you're trying to go from recordings, make sure to slow down the music! On youtube it's in the playback settings, or you can use a program like Audacity or Amazing Slow Downer. Then just take it note for note at first, after not too long you'll be able to pick up entire phrases, etc. And congrats on the bouzouki! Folk/trad melodies are *a lot* easier and more natural to play on these instruments compared to guitars, which makes playing by ear easier too. Just give it some time to get used to the new tuning and instrument!
Yeah, it was high on mine too. I adjusted the truss rod and lowered the bridge/saddle on the body just using some sandpaper, to get a much better string action.
I’ve done the truss rod and saddle. It’s still a little high. I’m debating on sanding the bottom of the bridge too. I bought the “concert model”. I’m not crazy about the tailpiece either. Have you considered doing instructional videos? You’re quite good.
@@johnalex3023 Hmm, not exactly sure what you mean you've sanded, but the only place I sanded was the side of the bridge that sits against the body. It's definitely not a fantastic instrument, but it does the job for me, especially considering the price. Not ever considered doing instructional videos, I don't think I'm one to teach this instrument as I haven't played it much, and never had any teachers really so what I'm doing might be considered poor practice by many.
Yes, an Octave Mandolin is usually defined by being only up to the length that Bouzoukis start at, a Bouzouki is slightly longer. And octave tuning and unison tuning are different and people may have either on a Bouzouki
Great Tune!
I love it!

Unreal playing Tore, that's a lovely rendition! Do you reckon this would be possible to do in ADAD? I'm learning and trying to figure out if ADAD is too limiting for tunes like this
You changed the lower strings to be in unison, right?
Yep! All string pairs are unison

@@tore.levenstam Thank you so much. That is awesome insight, and I will get on it :)
Very nice. I just bought a bouzouki from Thomann. Did you do you own setup on it? The string action seems kind of high on mine.

Nice one ! Enjoyed listening..what tuning you in ?
Thanks! I tune in GDAD, so it's like a violin or mandolin with one set of strings lowered to make it easier for certain chords!
Good lad. Come to Ireland you will be most welcome 🇮🇪
Btw..Danú version (the best)

Hey, could u please tell me is Octav mandolin smaller than İrish Bouzoki?
Yes, an Octave Mandolin is usually defined by being only up to the length that Bouzoukis start at, a Bouzouki is slightly longer. And octave tuning and unison tuning are different and people may have either on a Bouzouki
What tuning are you using foe this tune? GDAD?
Yep, it's all I use. I like having the top D be able to ring out.
Круто
Oh you look very sad..! What happens ???.........It can't be your good Tune ;))
