I did multiple passes on my black car and in direct sunlight I still do see some swirl marks left behind but it's 90% better and the paint is much better looking, so I'm glad to know my results are great and realistic after thinking I would be able to remove 100% of defects

      Thanks. Well I was focusing on other methods in the video this time. We used a few different products. DIY Details Gold Standard Polish, Hybrid Solutions One and Done. Orange LC pads. Hi. It’s all about the variables. How is the vehicle cared for? What climate and weather does it see? Is it garaged kept? Is it driven daily? Those are the true factors that come into play when determining durability. Whether it’s expensive or not means nothing. But you are correct, in a way. Cheaper products can last just as long or longer within the correct parameters. Thanks for sharing. 😎👍🏼

    Recently, I recall you interviewed Yvan or a lady who recommended rotary. For hammered vehicles like this do you ever just save time and cut with a rotary or do you really use a DA for everything? You often talk about efficiency, and the rotary seems like it would be more efficient than the slow passes required by the DA. Even if you had to do a second polish to remove buffing haze, it seems like it would be faster than trying to do everything with DA. Thanks.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  Рік тому +5

      Hi. Well that all depends on the paint and how it’s responding and how much swirl removal is needed. Jobs like this we can complete in about 4-5 hours which is really good for us. We only do one of these a day. I’m not very proficient with a rotary so it definitely would slow me down rather than speed me up. We are so used to these DA polishers that we are much faster and more efficient with them.

    After telling each one of these shops I did not want a polish, just protection, their uniform response was that they would not warranty the application, their work or the longevity of the product. Nor would they drop the price even though they wouldn't be spending all the time polishing it.
