Nice video. I snagged that crimper as a factory referb (iirc with warranty) from TEMco’s EBay store some years ago. Saved $$$, and other than some oil residue I couldn’t tell it from new.
Having cut apart connectors I’d done in the past, I now wipe the lug and end of the wire with isopropyl alcohol and let dry prior to applying adhesive shrink tube. I’m sure it seals fine without that step, but the shrink tube really adheres aggressively when you remove any trace of oil from manufacturing or fingerprints.

Nice I like your crimper. Mine is about 8 years old and you have to a guess as to which die set will crimp appropriately. Second, I like the heat shrink that has epoxy in it for sealing the ends (both) for moisture intrusion, But that was from a boat rigger background. Nice job!

Often it is easier to place the terminal in the tool and tighten just enough to hold it in position and then insert the wire. Fewer moving pieces to hold at the same time.

I don't understand why they don't make some kind of stand you can set it on so you get more leverage and it doesn't wobble all over the place

Hello, where did you get the terminal lugs?

I ordered them direct from Temco. I've also purchased some on Amazon.

A lot of industrial hardware shops have them. We have a place here called McFaddendale. They're are a few of them in the Las Vegas and SoCal area.

Beware of some of the cheap Amazon and EBay ones. They can be thin/poorly made.

I used some 2/0 welding cable I had from left over projects. The terminal lugs were ordered from TEMCo at the same time I ordered the crimp tool. The size you order is dependent upon your cable size and how big of a hole you need in the ring terminal.

You probably just sell the camper in 2 years anyway knowing you. LoL

This is a keeper. I'm done "experimenting" with travel trailers. Truck camper is far more useful for my needs. I had my AF 811 for almost 11 years.
