This isn't a music video it's a "training" video so the audience know what to do when they attend a concert, 😂😂
That's like 98% of their songs. lol
And if you dont know, Su will let you know, " i said, sit down " 🤣🤘🏼🦊

Hey TaurieMetal, welcome back to BabyMetal's journey.
This is another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this at The Babyklok Tour in the US in all the cities they've been around, they did the same at Aftershock and Louder Than Life after so many years without performing there and getting the crowd going bonkers with this.
The live debut was at Apocrypha - Another One exclusive show prior to the track release, it was fun and totally unexpected, everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it.
There's a live proshot version at Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka released recently but it's heavily blocked so be careful. You'll notice some slight difference between the live and the studio album.
The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when MomoMetal is doing the Kabuki moves style.
Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festivals when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya in Megitsune and Karate. The traditional Japanese instrument you can hear in the beginning is a shamizen, also used in Megitsune.
I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts.
Next suggestion:
- MAYA live at PIA Arena MM, you can find this clip at The Foxhole and "who?" probably safe to react.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this and see you next time.🦊🤘❤
Wasshoi! Wasshoi! They've been performing this song live since literally the day it was released! And the girls are definitely having a lot of fun on stage through their tour this year. There are a lot of funny videos out there showing this too! 😆
🤘🦊
Great reaction, thanks!
"Metali" (metari) = "metaru" (metal) + "matsuri" (traditional Japanese summer festival). So it's a "matsuri" influenced song and it's all about hyping the crowd and inviting them to dance and sing along. It has several connections to "Megitsune" both in the lyrics (chants, etc.) and the music video itself. Like when they clear the tatami by kicking aside the tea sets. In "Megitsune" they get rid of the kimonos by pulling the "obi" (kimono sash). They are apparently telling us that they put aside the more restrictive and elitist traditions in favor of the more popular and inclusive ones.
Musically, it's very groovy and funky. And yes, I also love Su's clean yet aggressive vocals here. Really cool collaboration with Tom Morello who commented this: "I am a big fan of BABYMETAL, a band that is both power rocking and constantly surprising with dizzying musical twists and turns. I've been trying to work with them for some time and when they sent me the demo of 'Metali!!' I knew I could rock that shit like crazy!".
I'm very happy for Momoko on her first song and music video as an official member and also for her feature on that kabuki (traditional Japanese Theater) style (and surprising) interlude. 😁
Until next time!

Momometal "Are You Ready!?" 🦊🍑🍑🦊
BABYMETAL is back with this song, all fun and adorable originally had. And as a Japanese, it makes my blood pump! Thank you from Japan.
"I don't think I've stopped smiling through this whole thing." -- Tauri Reacts
EXACTLY! And for me, once you've taken this song into your heart, the live performance is HUGE FUN! I'm not big on fancam stuff, but the performance Babymetal and the Western Kami Band put on for this track is like a triple shot of joy!
I won't spoil anything for anyone who hasn't watched what they can of the BabyKlok tour, but I adore it! Big thanks to Tauri Reacts for sharing this one with us~!
welcome back ! Glad you liked it, as you mentioned what is so great is the audience participation.
Great reaction🤘Many different regions in Japan typically hold their own uniquely traditional festivals in the summertime. The words 'wasshoi,' 'dokkoi,' 'dokkoi-sho,' and 'sore' are typical call-and-response chants that you hear at Matsuri. When Su calls one of those, you're encouraged to join in and respond. BM wants you to make noise, sing and dance in a circle, and also pray for everyones safety, good health, and all the goodness in life during the Matsuri. This is how they aim to create their own Matsuri with the Fox God for you and invite you to experience Matsuri with their metal music.
"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Welcome back and great reaction. The live performances of this have been completely wild and the crowds are going nuts! 🤘🤪🤘
This is Momometal's first official music video since she was revealed as the official new member in April and she even got her own solo part with the spoken kabuki theatre section.
The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!".
They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance.
Welcome back and thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。This song was one in the setlist that was performed in their North American tour (total 29 gigs in Aug. thru Oct.) with Dethklok and kept blasting the American / Canadian audience at every venue. The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri 祭 (festival)" → Metali. And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley).
I witnessed this song live twice in August : World premiere (live debut) in a special show and Performance at huge festival "Summer Sonic Tokyo". At the actual venues, this song followed after an intro with Western Kamis' cool instrumental solos. Oh My Buddha! 😍 I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song. Momometal's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style (and her growl in live show) gave an amazing accent in the exciting repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is a kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi (神輿) on their shoulder that is a kind of a float in Western style festivals.
[FYI : In the festival, BABYMETAL was a closing act after 8 artists. Evanescence performed right before them. I was moved to tears by Amy Lee's "Bring Me To Life".]
Yeah, this one’s a total banger to top all other total bangers.

Great reaction!
Indeed you're right, there is a short clip of a backstage from many years ago, where YUI almost collapsed, and we all watched Riho on BBC, she almost fainted by the end of RoR at Glastonbury, yes their performances are quite demanding. But MOA is literally a powerhouse 😅 and MOMOMETAL is improving.

Babymetal “メタり” Metali (feat) Tom Morello:-
Babymetal have joined forces with Tom Morello of "Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage, Lock Up, Street Sweeper Social Club, Axis of Justice, Class of '99, Shandi's Addiction" for a new single ‘Metali’.
The new song is the latest in the Japanese kawaii metal band’s series of star-studded collaborations, and sees them partner with the Rage guitarist for another up-tempo, electrifying track.
The group first teased the release last week and, according to the press release, ‘Metali’ is “officially the first song by the newly reborn” group - now consisting of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. It also confirms that the single was created with the vision of their crowd forming a circle pit at a metal festival this summer.
Babymetal - METALI (feat. Tom Morello)” was released as a digital Single in 2023. The Japanese Title “メタり” has a distinctive style of kana usage. It is written as the nominal form of the made up verb “to do metal”.
This song is characterized by the classic metal style of the Japanese band, combined with some j-rap touches that distinguish it from previous releases. And of course, the subject gets more frantic through the classic guitar style of Tom Morello, which fits quite well in the musical

It's so cool that they gave Momoko a solo spot in this. She's the perfect fit.

BABYMETAL HAS GOT THEIR KAWAII BACK!!! (And I sincerely hope that they don't misplace it again!)
