Half rep focus more on chest muscles where as full rep hits both chest and triceps...a lot of bodybuilder do half reps because they don't want to hit their triceps during workout
You already have the answers above me. But i just want to say that the best way to find out is by taking a small weight , bar or dumbells , and never lock out for a few sets. Try doing them at medium speed , not too slow or fast , and concentrate on the muscle. You will get a different , i would say more intense pump in the muscle the exercise is actually supposed to target.
@@vezovo I bet he ll come back in 8 years of consistent training 2 times per day while doing medium dosages of all the PEDS that are clinically proven to work and quit his job to have time for all that just to reply to your comment to inform you how close he got to the 100 kgs dumbell.
Cluser Everett Just their form on certain exercises. Mostly their range of motion. Like if you watch their warmup sets on incline dumbbell press, Andre has a longer range of motion and you can see him contract and squeeze his chest on ever rep when Larry mostly just moves the weight to get blood into the muscle.
Hey larry, genuine question, is there a reason why you aren’t finishing your reps, especially on that shoulder press? Even at the lower weight you cut the reps short.
he is on different category ... andrei is on physics category.. to get perfect body shape he need to do full range of motion.. but for larry category Rather than perfect body shape.. he need to get bigger and stronger.. so he dont need to do full range or motion .. he need to lift the heavier as he can... andrei cant do the same concept like larry do becoz he cant stay in physics category if he getting too bigger and heavy
Even bodybuilding a lot of it you don't do full range of motion you don't walk out your elbows on shoulder press or bench press and you don't come down and touch your chest and let it sit. Because the whole idea is time under tension. If you lock out your elbows than at that point the weight is on your skeletal frame and not on your muscles. Me personally I was so used to getting caught full range of motion and lock out your elbows all that s*** even on squats you know lock your legs out but you don't have to. It took me a good chunk of time to actually force myself to stop doing full range of motion. Well rather locking out. And it helped out tremendously just from that type of training and put more tension on my muscles and obviously that's what you want time under tension and more muscle fibers recruited. How's that a plateau of 220 lb and then after that I would say working out like that for three months I put on an additional 15 to 20 lb just from changing out the workout or the way I worked out. That's why every good trainer will tell you to try multiple different training programs and then whatever works for you out of all of them in corporate that to your old work out. Some people respond you know with different types of Weights as well. Like Paul Delight in the 90s it was said that he would use 20 to 25 lb dumbbells and he had 24 inch arms. Or Nick Walker then you know the new dude he's a f****** beast. But he wasn't growing significantly and he was doing the normal 10 to 12 10 to 14 rep range and once he switched it down to high-intensity lower reps at I believe he said eight reps per set he started to grow
@@barrykitchen8200 I would say the biggest dudes cant do range of motion cuz they are too big and the muscles get in the way. 100 kg moving easy Larry ❤️ Just want to know why half reps when warming up. Am I missing out on something and should I be doing this ?
you feel more tension doing half reps because u never lock out
Half rep focus more on chest muscles where as full rep hits both chest and triceps...a lot of bodybuilder do half reps because they don't want to hit their triceps during workout
That's for the constant tension bro. As your chest is most active during that portion, triceps and shoulders kick in for the upper part
If u are doing those 100 kg reps in last set like him then yeah sure go for it

Hey larry, genuine question, is there a reason why you aren’t finishing your reps, especially on that shoulder press? Even at the lower weight you cut the reps short.
I thinks it's because when you finish your reps to lockout it can cause injuries or irritating in joints and ligaments
